check the e3 trailer:

stop the clock at 0:19 and on the ground next to the driver's feet are the legendary bricks from indianapolis and the trademark white conrete fences in the background.

This is 200% confirmation that we will see the brickyard in gt5!! yay

add all the weather locations from gt5 pologue(has anyone got ANY info on those tracks at all???!!!) and we have heaps of very cool real world tracks that will be AWSOME to drive(Estoril, SPA!!! and Imola being my presonal favourites)

Actually, it took a couple of days for someone to mention one of the flags was of Indianapolis. It's always good to get more evidence to confirm something.

+1. Wasn't even the flag that confirmed it for me. Was the tower on the main straight, since that is what I noticed first.

Its been known way before the E3 trailer that Indianapolis was gonna be in the game and the flags in the trailer shown Tuesday confirmed this so whats new?

Yep we first learned of it from the holiday 2007 issue of PlayStation official magazine (US). Then Indy was confirmed the moments as we watched the trailer.
