9:30PM EST anyone?

I won't do that. That'll blend in with ALMS, which ill happily show up late for if we race at 7, but 9:30 is really 10-10:15. I've been around these long enough to know we won't start on time ;)

Looking forward to it none the less, Cnd and I plan on doing our qualifying tomorrow :)

It would have to be before 8 Eastern time for me. I usually have to work mornings on Saturdays. 200 laps is a long race, and I don't want to be up too late and fight sleep at work.

Yeah, it looks like we will keep the same time slot, it annoy's me when thing's get changed last minute with other series, seems this will have a ripple effect for everyone, sorry Joe, but we will kep it the same time, as for qualifying, is everyone ok with having a 10 minute session before the race?

Then the draft will make everyone go faster...

I have time during the week to do the actual qualifying in the real Indy 500. Polar and I are planning on making our first attempts tomorrow.

9:30PM EST anyone?
Please no. As Cobani said its getting little undoable here in EU and it already quite bad time (middle of night). I live GMT +2.
Althou if you changed even little more it get doable again because it getting early saturday morning here :)
If you change starting time i have think this over if i join or not.

May I suggest that if anyone can sync up earlier in the week with you for qualifying then they should do so only if they cannot make a qualifying period between 6pm and 6:50? 50 minutes would be more then enough time for 13 racers to do 1 warm and 4 hot each alone on the track. At 40 second lap times on average, and 5 laps each with 13 drivers, that would take roughly 32 and a half minutes. The extra 7 and a half could be used as a margin for error and you could have the 10 minutes before the race for a drivers meeting.

Individual qualifying would also allow for connections to be evaluated to make sure that people that have lag don't end up racing. Clearing the cache in GT5's option menu before entering the room should be mandatory. (NOTE: From my experience's in clearing the cache this requires restarting your PS3 afterwards.)

It could work as long as everyone doesn't show up at 6:45. We should make a schedule for qualifying order. Everyone gets a start time of when they go onto the track to qualify. All people would have to do is post in the thread when between 6 and 6:50 they can log on to qualify and then you assign times based on that information.

is that because its 1AM friday morning for you?

I'm in a +6 timezone Dave and I will have a glass of milk next to me ... just in case! ;)
I like the idea of opening the room an hour earlier to give everyone a change to qualify. Best laps I've done: 37.9 on high fuel.

I also like Peelster1's idea for opening the room an hour or so earlier for quali.

It will be open around an hour or more earlier mate, for qualifying, I have had 2 people PM me about it so it will be allowed,

yeah mate, anytime you see me online, or you can qualify leading up to the race,

Where is the race room/lounge? Do we need to sent friend request somewhere?

this is my PSN, TDZ-4-12-14-88

you can shoot me a friend request if you like and we can do it from there,

Man Dave! I got my wisdom teeth out today, and it's hurting like a mother****er! I may be able to try to race, but I have to take soooo many pills, I don't want to be racing cars this quick... Under the influence of narcotic pain killers... My reaction times are slowed down from the IV today.

Although I got my other wheel (Logitech ****ed up the refund) so I may just set it up and race....

Its up to you mate, in that case try your anti roll bars at 7 in the front and 1 in the rear and add 10 points of down force to the back, keep the car settled,

Thanks, I really, really.... Really want to do this race. I can't go to school tomorrow, so I may get some time to get rested.

That being said, I'm not sure if my dad will let me do anything.

....and I'm still hearing voices.... Kinda sweet. Like in the- really freaky when it happens, but after you're like "wow, that was pretty cool" way.

Again, I have a lot of drugs in me, so if any of my comments are really weird, that's why.

Meh, bring em, who know's I could make some pretty awesome pick up lines out of them,

speaking of, here's one,

Hey there Candy Pant's, how about you, me, and a bucket of chicken?
(works ever 4 out of 5 times I've used it )

Well, I bought the Indycar on iracing this morning so I wasn't tempted to eat....

What a cool car! It's really fun to road race, and is glued to the track on ovals!

About the starting grid: The starting grid will automatically be 2-wide, however we'll actually be starting 3-wide. 3rd and 9th place will have to go from the left side to the right side and 4th and 10th place will have to go from the right side to the left side. The following is how it will look in two wide right when the race "starts". (Meaning Lap 1/200.) with the numbers being the starting position and PC standing for Pace Car. These grids are what they would look like if everyone shows up.

01_02
03_04
05_06
07_08
09_10
11_12
13_PC

After the first pace lap beginning Lap 2/200 the starting grid should look like this:

__ PC __
01 02 03
04 05 06
07 08 09
10 11 12
13

Shall we start a list of people who will be racing?

Racers:

1. polarbear345

4.
5.
6.
7.
8.
9.

yes, for this reason it won't be a rolling start, it will be standing start and everyone will grid up between the start line and the first turn, once the field is set we will begin at 63MPH/ 100KPH and travel around to the start line and go,

Don't we have to turn around?
