That is okay.

The Subaru has to be kept stock apart from oil change and rebuilds.

That's the nature of the challenge. It's to really display the skills of a player by having everyone to use the exact same car, without modifications or anything.

Ok got that. Subaru has to be kept stock - so no suspension changes - the stock one, just oil change, engine overhaul.

And the AE86? stock as well or in this case we can add suspension etc., but nothing that would change the BHP of the car.

Gonna hit the Nordschleife tonight. I tried it yesterday - that was something completly different as in the normal game. Its quite hard :nervous:

The AE86 Challenge, you can do performance tunes up to 165BHP, but no Turbo Kits/Superchargers.

All other mods can be done apart from having 6 geared transmissions, so no 6-Speed Closed Ratio Transmission and no Fully Customizable Transmission.

GT Wing cannot be added.

Suspension, Rigidity Improvement, and others are allowed.

kadoimmortal, Did you receive the car? I just wan't to make sure. Also, I got mixed up and I have the wrong AE86. Could I please borrow one from you guys? Then I will duplicate it and return your car. :D

OK got my first time on the Nurburgring Nordschleife.

8:33:574 - everything stock.

And got my AE86 as well. 👍 👍

Great time!
Makes me wan't to better my time.

Thanks. I know i can do it better. Made a lot of mistakes during the run.

But it certainly is reall fun to drive in the lounge with the tyre wear and damage to the car. Makes you think twice to go realy fast.

It is quite different to when you race in GTLife or Arcade even when you set to Real Grip reduction. The grip redacution in the lobby is much more severe - real -.

Is there a way how you can make a lounge private? Happens often to me that some dude comes in and start crashing into my car during my run.

Got a couple good laps in this morning first one is with sequential gearbox using paddles second one I wanted to see how I could do with the clutch and came closer than I thought.

Sequential file-http://www.4shared.com/file/T0GrwOE-/BCUS98114-RPL001.html 8:14.748
H-pattern file-http://www.4shared.com/file/lJtTaL1i/BCUS98114-RPL002.html 8:15.414 respectively

Gonna go for a sub 8:10 with the clutch and then see how close I can get to the 8min mark with the paddles. Thanks for letting me borrow the car; even bone stock it drives really well.

By the way I'm Using a Logitech G25

Sure did... do you want the '86 you sent me back? How is it that you duplicate a car I haven't figured that out yet?

I am sure it is frowned upon from some people to duplicate it because it renders the whole trading thing kind of pointless. However, I still things it's good to be able to share cars. However, I don't duplicate all cars I give or trade though.

The instructions are to run the time trial in Online Mode, not through 'My Lounge'. I think you got it right anyway. :) By the way, can you send me your controller type?

Don't have to make the lounge private, just host it and start race. People won't be able to join the race once it starts.

Great times everyone, it's good to have the leaderboard start filling up.

Been searching the UCD for the past few days and I've still have yet to see the Sprinter Trueno AE86. =.="

Only thing that came up was the Corolla version of the AE86, the one that Takumi's friend drives.

I think I still have one more in my Garage, I can send it to you. Add me on PSN, I'll send it to you when I get home.

Thanks a lot TimberW. :)

Saved me a lot of time trying to find that car. Seems like it's a pretty rare one in the UCD.

I've been thinking about tracks for trials. Here is a list of the touge type courses with lots of undulation that I think might be fun.

-Trial Mnt.
-Deep Forest
-Eiger Short
-Cape Ring South
-Leguna Seca
-The Ring (including type V)
-GP/F Ring
-Cote d'Azure

keep in mind all the variations on some of them like backwards and weather/time change.

I've seen more rare cars in the dealership then the AE86. I might have to drop out unless this comes through soon.

Hey guys, I've decided to try do the each Act fornightly. This is to keep things fresh. One month for one act, I feel is too long. Things will change and adapt along the way, seeing how things goes. But so far, I'll like to say thanks for all your support! Even borrowing cars here and there.

Let's build a great community here! I'll reveal Act 002 on 6th Feb 2011 to prepare for the week starting 13th Feb.

Yeah I agree - one month is to long. So we have time to up the times till 13th of Feb. Cool gonna try to get better times.

If i get a second Subaru i will borrow it as well. Mean its just a car :)

I do not know how i could be of any help but if there something i can help with let me know. I will try my best to support this growing community. 👍 👍

To be fair, I would allow ASM. Many cars such as the GTR and evo have a form of ASM in real life, and you should allow it.

Ok got a new time on the Nordschleife:

Hi Snake, thanks for the comments. I believe most modern cars have these aids. You made me do some research as well. Actually, does Bunta's Impreza have traction control? According to Wikipedia, only the later models have such things as traction control and ASM.

If there's someone who is a Subaru tech guy which can enlighten me, that'll be great. BKOTT rules will be reviewed...

I could see this with the cars that came equipped with forms of VDC (Vehicle Dynamic Control, but I know good drivers will actually go slower with ASM or TC switched on. I have no real argument against this as long as they were available on the specific year make and model you are using. This would however complicate things a little and someone would have to do some research as I don't think anyone knows off the top of their head which exact years makes models do have some sort of VDC. Not to mention what exact forms they implement.

thx for the compliment :)

anyway did anyone allready try out the tsukuba circuit?? just for information - what are the best lap time you guys did drive with the AE86.
So that i am prepared for what is to come :nervous:

My best time is around 1:11:501 - i normlay can make it around 1:12 something.

Thx for the info - looking forward to compare the times.
