why do allow the Engine Stage 3 upgrade?I would have preferred the stock GT500!

Tyre wear is not something that you can say that a sertain model will have.. It's a lot up to the driver and the settings.

But to generalize
NSX: a lot of wear in the rear, hard getting temp up in the front
GT-R: pretty much on all tracks the front wear faster, on Suzuka for eaxample, my front tyres wore at doubble speed compared to the rear (as I said, can depend on driver skill and setup).
Lexus: Have not driven one that much, but I think the wera is pretty even but still pretty strong.

But all in all, the tyre wear is pretty much the same but in different ways. That's my experiance.

The NSX will be very dominant with this rules I'm afraid. Because driving these cars stock against eachother (NSX 505 hp GT-R 518 hp) the lap-times are very similar. By removing 16 hp from the GT-R and only 3 hp from the NSX, the NSX will be dominant. Not to mention the Lexus, it will be KILLED!

And also, by reducing the HP, some cars will have a disatvantage. The EPSON NSX and the AUTECH MOTUL GT-R got 50 and 30 kg extra. With less power, that weight will be even tougher to move around.

We had this debate on the PSU forums, it made most sense to leave the stage 3 because most of us already had it.

Interesting...I was totally unaware of this when we had done SuperGT races in the past.

The Lexus cars will be allowed to install & use a stage 2 turbo, after testing earlier on and from the recommendations in this thread it appears to make the Lexus more 'fair'.

Regarding stage 3 engine, I'll get together some guys and get a good few hours of testing done tonight & this weekend. In the mean time, PLEASE post whether you'd prefer Stage 3 Engine, or stock SuperGT cars.

I really apologise for this, it really wasn't something I was aware of.

You the organizers openness and want for matched cars, says count me in!

This will shape up nicely IMO.

Very interested. Saturday works well, been thinking of how it would be nice to have two Super GT leagues to race in.

Thanks again for being open and understanding.

No problem. There's no fun or competition if someone has a huge advantage.

Although I'm afraid you'll be stuck with a Lexus now :sly:.

No problem with the Lexus when it's matched. I have heard it's pretty balanced and nice drive.

The Epson NSX is only 498 BHP stock even with an oil change so this rule wouldn't really effect this car.

We've done some SuperGT races before with the power limited to 502 BHP and all the cars seemed pretty much evenly matched, not one car was much faster than the others. It's just the oil change gives some cars an unrealistic BHP increase and irl they're limited anyway. ;)

This is indeed a problem.

We do have around two weeks until the first pre-season race, so that gives us plenty of time for some extensive testing.

@Owen: How does the WSGTC deal with the huge bhp different between the GT-R's and the NSX's?

EDIT: @ YING_YANG: I need to know if your friend can race or not, we already have someone on the waiting list.

I just found out that he won't be able to make it so you can give it to next in line. Thanks for holding it.

THanks for letting me know :).

Just a quick update, all cars are going to be stock. No mods except for chassis rigidity, and a turbo stage 2 for Lexus cars. Already updated the OP.

So I duped my NSX to put on engine stage 3 all for nothing:grumpy:....... jk lol
It's better this way but are you sure the Lexus need a turbo? Surely it isn't that slow.

Anyway I think you'll need to change the date of the race on 11th June to another day, it's the Le Mans 24 hours on the 11th and 12th June. ;)

So? You can watch the other 21 hours of it :sly:.

The Lexus cars do need a turbo (stage 2 only though). We did quite a bit of testing tonight and they're fine with the turbo's.

I'm so happy about the last update!I prefer the stock GT500 CAR:) just one question, what about oil change,is it allowed?

I don't see why not ;). Oil change & engine overhauls are totally legal.

We're still accepting signups!

I'm with you guy's!Calsonic Impul GT-R ‘08

You sure you dont want to race the ENEOS Lexus with a stage 2 turbo?

I know you do, so I will be kind and trade cars with you. :sly:👍

I also need a team mate.

Jav, are you interested? I see you are on the same time zone or similar. So this would lead to better time management for practice sessions.

Maybe,Nahhh..:sly: I really love the Calsonic,it's my favorite GT500:)

Me too need a a team!

Still accepting signups? The grid is full... And my favorite car is taken... Sounds like fun, maybe I'll start up another series...

Feel free to sign up, we now have a spare space in the first league and a Lexus car that's going free.

If you're not going to signup just because your favourite car is taken, that doesn't really show commitment.

Small bump. I've updated the OP with a revised calendar (replaced Grand Valley with SSR5) and added a third pre-season race.

The pre-season will now start on March 26th at Suzuka.

In the OP it says the time for the pre-season race is 21:00GMT but when you click on the link the page says 21:00UTC. is it the same thing? We're going by the time on the linked page?

UTC is Coordinated Universal Time, it's the same as GMT :sly:.

I'll change it to UTC. But yeah, GMT & UTC are the same thing.

The first pre-season race is also the only race that will be at 21:00 UTC, all other races will be at 20:00 UTC due to daylight savings.

Btw Arkano5... Should I be adding you to my friends list? Will you be the one hosting the races? How is this all going to work? Sorry for the dumb questions, never joined any GT5 leagues before.

Nothing wrong with asking questions.

I'm going to add everyone to my friends list later today, need to make some room on it first. The host for each race should be me, if for some reason I can't host then we have a couple of backups already in place ;).

EDIT: @OwensRacing, are you and Jav going to be in a team?

EDIT2: This is the last week of another championship that we have been running, which finishes this Saturday on the Nurburgring, so I'll be hosting a few Nurburgring rooms this week and I'll focus more on Suzuka next week. I should also be doing some track testing and a bit more car testing today (need to work out how many laps for each track) so make sure you accept my friend requests if you want to join in ;).

I have not gotten a response from him. However I did only post the one post.

I can send him a PM. If Waj is still needing I could partner with him. He using the Calsonic, he gotta be good right?

Sorry missed this post.

The NSX being MR, has the ability to corner better and maintain speed, which gives it better exit speed. Also I think these things are slippery in the air. They top out pretty high in comparison.

The GT-R being FR, want to plow a lot in the turns. You can get it to rotate, but it still eats speed to do so. So with the slower corner ability it needs a little extra ummphh to get off the corner.

Just make sure you choose your team mate wisely :sly:.

Ah no problems then. Thanks for your help :).

Ok:) add me wajdi1977 for some practice session!

Updated the OP with the finalised track calendar and laps.

There's a slight problem with the Yellowhat Supra, it's around a second slower than the NSX . I'll try it out with a stage 2 turbo tomorrow to see if that makes a different.

The car handles on rails through corners, but it just doesn't have anywhere near enough speed on the straights or in acceleration.
