but the M3 is´nt fast enough on the straight, if you lose the slipstream from a f430 then it´s to hard to get them...and with R3 it´s to fast in the corner and it´s not so funny....

Try the F40. It is ludicrously fast in the straight but absolute pants if it sees a corner.:)

Im going to give the DB9 a test now so the british can shout at you when I pass :D ahaha

Sorry GTP_FLASH48 if I confused you abit when I overtook you at one part of the race. Weren't too keen on the situ with the slow black Corvette which held you guys up so I was about to intervene only for it to go off the track by itself!

Night All I need to go to bed I have been at this now for 14hours and my eyes are going.

Cheers for all the excellent racing tonight. Credit to you all.

Thanks for waiting fair play, but you should have just carried on. i was so far back because i made it my mission to punt off that rattie fella. Dirty &*+&ard.

EDIT: There seems to be a few drivers that wait for our little race and then take delight in spoiling it for us.

hi everyone.
been seeing you guys on the track lately and wondered who you were so some research has brought me here. great forum and those Ferraris do know how to be driven, who ever thought of it i would like to thank them and ille see you guys on the track.
are you guys running speacial times.

Welcom Lucas! Nice to hear you like our little 'special' event. We race every hour at these intervals, an example. its 1:00 now at my place. at 1:02 we press race, then we all race together and get back out of the race at 1:15, we wait 2 minutes till its 1:17 and press race again! and again at 1:47, 2:02 etc

hope you get what i mean :P

Right Im off guys. Making to many mistakes, and been racing all day. Catch you tomorrow!

i think ille race you guys when my steering wheel arrives. Just like to say Thanks to GTP_patchysan for thinking off a great idea to race in equal PP cars starting with the Ferrari F430 , your idea was great and its bringing much more enjoyment to racing online again.

You're right about that.
I've tested it for a while this afternoon and also realised that.
Even maxed out, it can't compete on the straights with most (if not all) the cars listed on the 1st post.
And the other BMW's are even worse! :scared:

Welcome, lucasracing. 👍
As said, our times for these particular races are xx:02, xx:17, xx:32 and xx:47. Enjoy! :)

I've noticed that too, what a bunch of sorry losers...
Then there's the people driving 750pp cars, but doing laps of about 2'40...

Know problem, and thanks for the help!:sly:

Ok, new car for this event:

Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano

Power: -20
Weight: 86% (yes, 86 - not 85)
Tires: R3/R3
679pp

It went through very extensive testing, both in race and free run, it's guaranteed to be, not only a joy to drive, but also a near perfect match for the F430 on virtually every turn and straight in Suzuka. 👍

Thanks a lot to some GTP members that really helped me squeeze this wonderful car until it got where it is now, namely mr_VOLCANO and PrudentBear.

I got out of synch with everyone on my last race and fell into a full field of tuned corvettes, amuses, clios and evos and managed a 2nd place, 5secs behind the leader and 12 secs over 3rd all in the Aston tuned to our spec here. That is rather sad to see the level of driving out there in these tuned car races.

I'm done for the night. I'm also looking forward to finally being able to race the 599. Someone setup the Merc as well for this event.

So many cars to choose from :scared::nervous:. I'll test this one and the DB9 this evening or tomorrown i don't think I've driven either of them since i bought them.

And big thanks for putting so much time into setting up other cars for this event 👍

You're a machine Beerz churning all these cars out! I put the set up on the front page for easy reference. Massive thanks for your contribution! 👍

Ok,no problem. i tought you was waiting for me...

I have notice these poor drivers too, :idea:we need a black flag for the online races:) or that we not must drive with the people on our "blocked list", then we would have the racetrack alone for us and the punters could race together their stockcar-races:)

Good job, mate!! 👍

Can I be so bold and throw another car in there?

Jaguar XK

Settings

Power = +45
Weight = 85%
Tyres = R3

I have tried this in a race and managed 2'08.036. In free run I could only muster 2'13.045.

So my conclusion so far is that it may struggle with our races if the free run is to go by. Yet the race time suggests it would be fine.

Could someone else give it a spin and see what they can do to see if we can get a good comparison.

I think 2:13 in free run is too slow then, i did not do much free runs with the cars so far, but i drove something about 2:05/2:06 with the f430 and the same with the nsx, and those laps were far away from being perfect (especially with the nsx :indiff:)

I think maybe at least the f430 can do something about 2:03/2:04 in free run, so even if you can go a couple of seconds faster than 2:13 with the Jaguar, it seems to be too far away.

(As my girlfriend is away this weekend, i will drive all mentioned cars all weekend long and test them the best i can :) )

Thanks for the compliments, guys. 👍
Anyone tried it yet? Any thoughts?

As far as the Jag, I've tried it and even maxed out, it can't be competitive with the others. Lacks power to overcome the weight, so acceleration and top speed suffer a lot and it doesn't hold in a race against the others.

As far as laps, and although it doesn't mean much because race situation is different (and where you know exactly how your car stacks up while battling for position), I've done a 2'04.6 with the F430, 2'05.3 with the 599 and 2'06.something with the DB9 (roughly the same with the SRT-10).
Best with the Jag was about 2'10 or 2'09, can't remember exactly.
Of course none of these laps were perfect and any one of them can do a bit better, but the 'pushing' was the same.
But the important thing is that, while racing, all these can do it bumper to bumper all around the track. 👍

i tried it for a few laps, it´s funny with this very big declination when you turn into a corner, i thought my TV was falling down to the side:lol:

my first free run lap was a 2:11:471, and i only failed the chicane a little bit...
with some practice i could manage a 2:09... i think, at least not fast enough for the other cars:indiff:

could anybody take the F430 for a testride now? I made a little gear adjustment at my M3 and put the R3 on(because the rear was much more coming:) ) and want to compare it.

If nobody can do it at the minute I will be able maybe in the xx:17 if not I will be in the xx:32 mate.

What changes have you made? Doesnt it feel like it has to much grip on R3's?

Hey Jack,
i changed the gear setting nearly to the same as from the F430, and then i had much more oversteering with the R2! And with R3 still somestimes, i will post the final gear setting after our test, so maybe you can check it out too?

See you at 17 and/or 32

I think the M3 with R3 tires has too much grip overall, ending up the fastest car on T1 by far.
Plus, doesn't change the fact that it gets beaten in a straight line by the others.

R2's are perfect for it to match the others on turns, all it needed was a bit of extra power to be a perfect match all around the track.

fair play please: How the hell did the M3 just match the 599 for pace down the back straight on the last lap :S

It now has alot more grip in the corners in seems?

not so much more grip, but you still have to be a little bit careful with the throttle:)

Edit: I will try the R2 in the 02 race, so could anybody please take the 599 and the F430?

I will again if you want? Sorry I missed the :47. The M3 seems to be very fast through the S bends. In a few races time do you want me to take the old M3 out to compare speeds?

will be there at xx:17 with f430.
i could drive the 599 ... but don't know the right setting to match the 430
