Sorry initial-D for the cut up on the first lap! I thought everyone had pasted and didnt see you in your small and dark TVR. My bad mate.

no problem, the race did'nt last long anyhow đź‘Ť

Just to let everybody know my PSN is now GTP_Scooby, RIP Initial-D

We had the whole race track to ourselves in xx:47. Pschyed one of the slower car in the esses to go wide and moved out aswell to prevent a hazard. Sorry to anonymouse for making him have to stop at occasions. Also apologies for grim reaper too if I kinda put you off at some places...

BTW, who won that race?

Cheers PatchySan

For waiting when I went off through my own mistake. In future if I go off like that please carry on, as I don't want to hinder your race by something that I did.

Now if you knock me off then please do the descent thing and then wait.

P.S. Thank to whoever put me on the grass out of the chicane. :ouch:

Sorry guys, just need the specific settings or confirmation on the Ferrari F430, Honda NSX and Dodge Viper SRT10 in terms of power and weight as there are different combinations you can do to get the PP number. Just updated the front page, put specific settings for the TVR, BMW & Aston Martin so far.

NSX is minimum weight and then move the power up until hit 680pp - too busy racing to get the numbers at the mo!

great driving Mr volcano:tup:

i will have a go with some of the new cars, the TVR understeers too much

Minimum weight in all of them otherwise they won't be as competitive.
The M3 and the Tuscan are maxed out anyway.

:tup:At last the Astin Martin actuallly feels quick to drive. I have always avoided it, but my god I goes some with less weight. I have learnt a lesson lately that less weight is by far better than more HP.

Well done to whoever suggested this car.
Why, that would be me, kind sir. :sly:

Why, that would be me again. :sly: :sly: :sly: :sly: :sly:

*POP!*

EDIT: Been trying out the 599, should have final results soon.
That race against PrudentBear and his NSX was just fantastic, very well matched. đź‘Ť

Hey Beerz sorry Ive only just checked out my inbox. When you sent me the message was it the race 135ii Tii or something? (cant remember the name but a 135 race car thing).

Was it maxed out? How did it compare?

Yeah, the 135 Tii. Too weak on power, even with pp on max. Not usable for this comp, as the straight line difference is just too big. It turns very well, but definitely not usable.
The 'normal' 135i can't be used either.
Same for the 350Z RS, loses a lot on the straights compared to the F430. Plus, having granny shifting doesn't help...

weight is certainly better than BHP at suzuka for both acceleration and handling. Fuji is a different story because of the really long start straight decent BHP is needed to make sure you have enough top speed on the staight as to not loose lots of time but for most race tracks I would take low weight over higher BHP.

Arh right ok!

and fair play please: Great racing with you. Always clean đź‘Ť When you were in the M3 we had some good racing and then just now with your R8. Are you going to post that tune as it seemed pretty good.

Here is a new contender:

Chevrolet Corvette Z06
R2/R2
685PP (Power -15% / Weight 85%)

Maybe someone else can try this setup?

loving the DB9, the gearing's ok standard, 6th tops out at a whopping 335MPH, but you only need the first 4.:scared:

Prudentbear,

Enjoyed that. Nice to see the F40. My god thats got some power down the straight. I got an almighty shock after sling shotting it. I nearly topped 200mph.

Yes, it was good. F40 is probably a bit too different from the other cars to recommend for close racing - need to brake a bit earlier and as you saw I got caught off boost a couple of times out of the slower corners in second gear.

What laps does it put out on free run?

Also, the absolute best and the only fair way to evaluate how a car matches the F430 (the standard in these races) both in turns and on the straights is while racing closely against a very well driven F430, because otherwise, the car being tested won't be even with the F430.

The goal here is to have a selection of cars to choose from (which we are getting with this 'matching' system, since if it depended on PD, half the cars we have on our virtual garages would rot... virtually) that, as closely as possible, in a race situation, match the F430 on all 3 sectors of Suzuka, so there can be close racing all around the circuit and any car can slipstream and outbrake any car, in a race environment.
That, in my opinion, is what makes great races. đź‘Ť

Great Race Fair_Play_Please đź‘Ť

This event is a real good fun... :) I have been out for almost a month and tonight was my first online racing since august 1st update.... what a nightmare... what have they done to our game:ouch:

Hopefully this kind of event remind me the good old days đź‘Ť

Cheers all, be back tomorrow ;)

Thats the problem with the F40 you need to keeps the revs up or the turbo lag can send you to sleep.

and sorry guys in this :17 race i was trying the R8 with S3 and full power:nervous:

that could work:

R1
HP +9
weight 85
=683PP, and maybe 685 with HP +10 is better, because the f430 is still faster

thanks a lot, for waiting too. it was the race with 657PP R8 with S3 tyres, i think.
see you tomorrow:)

Who's currently driving the F430?
I'm still testing the 599 and need a couple more races against a fast F430 to have final results.

EDIT: I don't think it's a very good idea to start having AWD cars, when all others are RWD, for the sake of having things as even as possible.
But it's not my call, just my opinion. đź‘Ť

I agree but I think the R8 could be included? Just for the people that like AWD cars. I have also raced with it and was able to keep up in my M3 and had VERY good racing.

My opinion is to have one AWD car for the people that prefer them, and I believe the R8 fits well.

great fun just now with 2fast4stig (or the stig), was nice! we were kinda late for the real xx:02 i think :P latecomers run.

but i want a german car:mad:
it´s doesent matter for me if front rear or AWD... i would drive the Golf V GTI if he would be fast enough:)

I will take the f430 now, so you can compare it...

couple of right dirty @&#*er drivers in the 17 race. gonna take a fag break and calm down! will be back for xx47

You have the M3, that's German... :)

Ok, thanks. I'll get in at xx:47 with my 599.

but the M3 is´nt fast enough on the straight, if you lose the slipstream from a f430 then it´s to hard to get them...and with R3 it´s to fast in the corner and it´s not so funny....
