International Event - Suzuka Expert 750 pp 00-15-30-45

i was getting a 'matching failed' error a few times from about 1600gmt. I've not had this error before. So i checked network was ok etc. went to my gtp_ login to try that... i went to delete my saved data in my gtp account, so i could copy over my main account data again, just to keep them in synch. So i deleted the game data instead of my saved data. Ok, no problem i thought, i'll reload.. but all my saved data was wiped from both accounts. I now have 35,000, and nothing else. blah.. i had 6 F12007 cars stacked up before this...
anyone else get the matching failed errors??

I get it all the time mate, it has totally put me off even attempting to connect to the timed meetings and now I just play GT5P in arcade mode or free run for the individual leaderboards I have had this since before the update but it is 10x worse since after it and it is annoying as hell to say the least! my success rate in connecting to a race is about 1 connection in 20 attempts and even then I end up missing the schedules and end up racing against a load of punters I dont know

You are not alone with this problem and I have tried everything with the router also to no avail 👎

that does really suck. I've had my share of problems with disconnected from server etc. but this error was something new to me. All night it had been going fine too. So now I'm in the middle of downloading the latest update and try and find a game save file for myself.

edit: luckily, i just reinstalled the update, and my data was present. phew..!

He pushed me out gravel, and overtook me.
He did the same thing again in the different corner.

I complained to him with mail after I had finished racing in the first place.
However, he did not say "sorry".

I have to say I'm starting to look forward to the end of this event now. I believe it takes a special kind of driver to get the best out of the GTLM, and that's good enough to win these races. It looks as if a majority of people use other cars, like the Mines, the GTR, the Vette, the Elise, Amuse, Clio and Viper.

I use the Vette which gets absolutely trashed on the straights by absolutely every other car mentioned above. I can close from so far back right up to the hairpin, then it's all lose lose lose from there back to the start of the lap.

I had a race last night where I was running fifth behind 3 GTLMs and FAK_EV1L's Clio. Every lap the gap increased because of the straightline advantage they had even though I was right on FAK's bumper through T1. I eventually got so frustrated and taking silly risks trying to stay with them I went lawnmowing on lap 3 or something.

Also something about this event causes people to lose all semblance of manners in the midfield, people seem incredibly desperate to get up front at the tsart, probably because they know once you lose touch with the leading pack it's as good as over.

Of course part of it is my own lack of speed at this PP as well, just look at Chronos and BRacing's times on the hotlap, they're at least a second a lap faster...I'm sure they'd be able to keep up and win but they are not human

Embarrassingly, I don't think I completed a single race last night, parked it on the side in every race. Not good form, and I apologise for that.

Yes I agree with you regarding everyone thinking that the race will be decided in the first corner. But if you manage to get through it ok, then your up for an good race...theres some pretty quick people that join at 15,30,45 etc. I enjoy racing this event in my Elise 111R/Tuned.

Hey mate, yeah I remember your ID! You were doing pretty damn well too if I remember correctly (Yellow Elise?) You sure I actually finished the race?! I was sure I kept pulling over out of sheer frustration.

So last night i try the 11.00 GTP race and there were 5 GTP drivers but they were driving cars that are max 600PP and we were in suzuka 750PP i drive mines BNR34 and i am sure they were having a great time racing each other but for me it was the most boring race i have ever had i won buy 55 sec.Its hard to find good competion so guys get some 750PP cars and lets race.

Yeah that guy is fast as heck. I hate those LM's. I could stay on him for a little bit, but then I would make a slight mistake and he would start running away from me. Good racing man...we've had some close ones! 👍

Same here. I had one race (only drove 3 races yesterday) where I followed him all race long and I could follow him quite well, but on the final lap he started running away.

Thanks to RPM_crx for letting us through just before the hairpin on lap 3 I think that race 👍

Had a good race last night with Sphinx and fair_play_please, we were all set up for a fantastic last lap, line-astern on the back straight....then I sort of wandered off the track and spoilt everything. Thank you to a gentlemanly Sphinxy for letting me by at the line, you'd earned that position yourself though mate.

Are you racing with a pad? if so, you are very quick mate.
I've seen in a shop the DFPro for just 89€, I think you will find it even cheaper if you buy it online, you shouldn't miss the experience of driving with a steering wheel in GT.
