As someone stated earlier, the tuned cars definately have an edge at Suzuka. Less weight and aero really makes a big difference in the mid to high speed corners at Suzuka. I took the Amuse S2000 for a spin and it made my GT-R feel like a dump truck around the corners lol. Of course I can't consistantly control wheel spin with this damn thing using the pos pad rrrr! Maybe I'll try the Mines R34.

1:58.8xx for me with the 200kg heavier Mines, as expected the Amuse (and likely other tuned RWDs) is quicker but its not substantial enough to justify that GTLM leaving me standing, they were doing under 2 minutes no problem in the lead with the 'boost' against them from a 12 car grid.

Managed a 1.58.9xx earlier today with the tuned vette but the cars do hadle a bit different in the actual race ; anyone else noticed this? also if you went off the track and back on the tire grip is awfull for a couple of seconds.

I can see a new wave of suzuka movies incoming 👍

Well the rubberband affect might be something you noticed in the race. It's definately something I despise. It's an expert class right? Why should we allow people to catch up by penalizing the drivers out in front. :grumpy: It's pretty annoying having to adjust your braking points and such for every corner of every lap. Makes everything a guessing game, which is absolutely ridiculous if this is supposed to be the ultimate driving simulator.

Off track excursions and course re-entry have always affected tire grip for a few seconds. Nothing new there.

Agreed the GTLM does seem a littel bit quick, they pull away very fast at the start. I find that car a real dog to drive though... its an under/oversteerer, never feels neutral which is what I prefer.

For what its worth I found the Clio/Tuned to be pretty good, high 1.57's on a good lap, low 1.58's on an average one in free run. The lotus Elise/tuned pulls similar times, but is not as easy to hold on the track for me, ie; small mistakes can become very big mistakes without warning.

I just met 8 Mine's from Japan in my clio/T. I had a hard time keeping up but i managed to take some and steady low 2.03's. Looks like the japanese loves the Mine.

i met a group of Mine's also today they were 1-8 in the lobby and all blue, it was like they were already there and everyone else joined (private lobby testers?)

My first couple of races were a huge disappointment which I can only sum up in song (sing along everyone). I'm sure it'll get better later.

Wanna play Gran Turismo, and have a good time;
Came home on a Friday, feeling fine;
Saw the tyre smoke, down shiftin' as I broke;
The punter may be laughin' but it ain't no joke.

A punter's paradise: that's all it was now;
A punter's paradise: that's all it was;
A punter's paradise: that's all it was now;
Punter's paradise: that's all it was.
(Every need got an ego to feed;
Every need got an ego to feed.)

They love to take me out - it’s the latest fashion (oo-bee doo-be doo);
In the dirt I scramble as I curse them with a passion (oo-bee doo-be doo),
No good asking why, but this game won’t fly (oo-bee doo-be doo)!
While we’re bluesing cos there ain't no (private) rooms.

Wo-o-o-oh! A punter's paradise: that's all it was now;
A punter's paradise: that's all it was, oh-ho-ho-ho-ho!

Oh, now soon their (punter's paradise) - soon their heads - soon their -
Soon their very heads will bow.
(Punter's paradise) Don't lose track - don't lose track of yourself, oh no!

Classic :lol:

To be honest I'm surprised, you must have caught my share of punters, it's been relatively drama free for me today (for once)

Wow PrudentBear. You are a man with hidden talents - a singer songwriter and top of the pops racedriver. Impressed!!

Have we gone crazy due to this update?

Took the GTR for a spin and got a 2'00:0XX
Its crap i need a wheel and manual T.T (yes Im a auto driver...I'll only manual with a wheel but...)

Think I must've been unlucky then. Just had a good race - lots of familiar names 👍

No idea what car to use though! 💡

You're going to have alot of trouble with punters using the GT06 Prudent, the apex speed is just to low and those unfamiliar with the brake pedal in tuned cars will eat you up. Good race just now for me though, I was losing speed each lap in typical R34 fashion and Timp tried to outbrake me into Casio for the final time after a lengthy chase putting him right behind, luckily i defending the inside and weirdly we braked at the same time roughly and my Mines stopped fast enough to make the turn (just) but his Elise/Tuned did not. Must be some damn good brakes on this thing.

Nice race Drago! too bad I overbaked myself.. :lol: 👍

edit: braked

edit2: Sorry Edebert & GTP_Saubef-F1.. I was too eager / aggressive at times... :indiff:

Yea, my fastest leading from the start is 10:12 but i was struggling to hold pace during the race. I've made 10:11 once but that was when i got 3rd following GTLMs.

Only time i've been off the podium so far is when i had to pull over from a clear second because of the door :lol: So im counting it so far as a podium every race :)

just like to say sorry for any bumps touches, i seem to be witnessing lots of lag and no doubt im all over the shop, again apologies

@Racer_LP

Did I hit you at the hairpin?
If so I apologise.

GT06 isn't too bad over a lap but it's bad when you're in a crowd. Doesn't help that I'm using R1s and a load of power :scared:

That's what I mean, it's fast overall but it's heaven for any punter who gets near because it doesnt have the downforce and so on of their vehicle. Seeing as you're on R1s you're even more vulnerable to attack in this way.

Yea that guy on the outside would've been me, i think i made a damn good move on that turn and you did damn good to not run up into me, I only had the trust in you because of your GTP tag.

I'm always looking out for others so don't worry about that part.

didn't think i'd be this unstable suzuka, well guess its back to the tune shop. what tire combos are you guys using?

Wow, you summed the way I'm feeling perfectly! I'm trying the Vette and can't believe how many more MPH I can carry into 130R.

I know it's the first day of the new events, but the midfield driving quality is utterly utterly miserable, shocking.

Much respect to TEKKENCATS[JP], TEW - RAGING - [JP] and GTP_Stotty[GB] for showing people how it should be done.

All the best

No, you didn't. I left you some at the inside of the righthander before the hairpin, but then had to take the inside line through the hairpin. Then i was on the trottle too much too early and lost it.:ouch:

It was easy to be fast at HSR straight away with the G25, but at suzuka I still need more practice to be consistent.

Much respect to TEKKENCATS[JP]

Used me as brake a couple of times and eventually just pushed me off in one of the races I did. 👎

Yea, I realised quickly you were very aware of where I was and what I was doing and even when you struggled for grip as I made the pass, you did very very well indeed considering the mess I left you in by beating you to the opening section of Dunlop and cutting off your exit. Nice job.

R3/R3 on my Viper/T, Vette/T, Amuse and Mines, the 4 cars I've used thus far but I'm now settled into my Mines trying to prove the old Skyline can still compete with the big guns in 750PP.

TEW - RAGING - [JP]

Most of the TEW guys seem to run clean in those Vipers I've seen them in, note to everyone these guys are generally fast and clean.
