Hi there, I'm Neko Taisen, nice to meet you.
  • How did you find GTPlanet?
I found GTPlanet by searching for mods for Assetto Corsa.

  • Where are you from?
    I am from France.

  • When did you start playing racing games?
I started playing racing games since ... Maybe 1998 if I count Gran Turismo, V-Rally and Toca Touring Car. If I count only simulators, I will say since 2008 with Grand Prix 3, and then GTR, GTR², rFactor, Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione and rFactor 2.

  • Do you play with a steering wheel? If so, what kind do you use?
    I use actually a T300RS Ferrari Alcantara edition with a G27 shifter.

  • What other games do you enjoy?
I enjoy some FPS games like Ground Branch and Ready or not, they're more satisfying instead of triple A PVP FPS.

  • What are you most looking forward to doing in the community?
Maybe trying to learn some good tips about modding on Assetto Corsa and then trying to bring the few things I learnt.
See you on the track.

  • How did you find GTPlanet?
I actually don't remember but it was searching info for GT Sport...
  • Where are you from?
I'm from Cádiz, Spain, but now I live in Barcelona.
  • When did you start playing racing games?
Whoa... I think I started in Sega Rally or so, and I've followed every Need For Speed since "Hot Pursuit", and every Gran Turismo since the first one. I have all of them on my collection.
  • Do you play with a steering wheel? If so, what kind do you use?
Not so usually, but a T150 PRO.
  • What other games do you enjoy?
FPS, adventure's deep story games, soulslike, platforms, FIFA... a bit from almost everything.
  • What are you most looking forward to doing in the community?
I just wanted to be able to respond some threads when I can apport info.

Hey hope all is well with everyone. My name is Joe. I'm a gamer who also loves movies and tv shows. In short, yep...I'm a nerd! 😁. I have started my own YouTube channel which can be found at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC26xkMXvZ3gKvpdT-FculZA I'd love to make it big some day. I'm planning on starting with some Gran Turismo gameplay tomorrow. I have been on GtPlanet for a few years now under my personal account. I mainly read the forums for new news about the games. I first found GtPlanet in a Google search searching for Gran Turismo. That's a no brainet huh. Lol. As far as racing games, I just be playing Gran Turismo these days. I'm old enough to remember old arcade racing games where the controls were crazy. I only play using a controller. I'm not a racing professional so using a wheel would be quite difficult for me. Some of my other favorite games include The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario, Sonic, Donkey Kong, Uncharted, Tomb Raider, Horizon, etc. I hope I can continue to be a part of GtPlanet to learn more about Gran Turismo as well as meet fellow gamers. That's me in a nutshell!! 😀

Hi everyone!

I'm a gran turismo player since the first release. I've found GTP, a long time ago by the era of GtVault, searching for gran turismo all kinds of information. I'm glad to have found you all and I'm sure i'll benefit from experience.

I'm a portuguese living in Barcelona, driving a small, white 206 around the peninsula.

Greetings to all of you!

Hi ya'll! I'm no stranger to video games, in fact, I collect them. My first racing game was Street Racer for the Atari 2600. I played it the first time in 1982. I also played games like Fire Truck and Pole Position 1 and 2 in the arcades.
I drifted away from then modern consoles after the Dreamcast and PS2 were released but continued to collect classic games.
My favorite racing games lack wheels. I'm a big fan of wipEout, Episode 1 Racer Arcade, and Hydro Thunder, but I don't own a boat like that or any anti gravity ships, so Gran Turismo fills in with a nice way to imagine I'm driving my own car on a great raceway.
I adapt to whatever controls are there from the full size bikes found on Manx TT to the full motion cabinet of 1998 Sega Rally to the twin throttles of Episode 1 Racer. I've used anything from simple knobs to wheels and gyroscopic hand controllers for racing games and even fake fishing rods for stuff like Sega Bass Fishing.
Anyway, that's where I come from. I found this site through some gaming circle.

Remember, you can be as good as you want at anything. The more you want it, the harder you'll want to work for it.
I may see you online in anything from GT7 to the Atari High Score Club and maybe even on a Sega NetLink with 1995 Sega Rally.
Happy gaming/racing, now go set a new lap record for me!

Hi I am Graham Botha.

I've been around the block what racing games are concerned at least since Gran Turismo 2 and have been sim racing on the PC since the good old GTR days. Someone said I should pop past GT Planet as there are many knowledgeable Asseto Corsa modders about who can give me some guidance on some challenges that I have with updating some of my old AC mods.

Thanks in advance :)

Hello GTP world !

Nice to meet you all, Keroyon from France, been lurking this forum since a while and decided to join in for a nice chat

Been playing GT games since the 1st one and Forza since the 3rd

It will be a pleasure talking to you

Take care

Hey racers, my name is Gavin. I just love making bad liveries every few days, racing to frustration and hearing what is happening in the community. I got GT Sport a few years too late but I've been playing Gran Turismo since- 1998.
Yeah, I'm old, so that is my excuse for being slow🤣🤣
If you want, follow me on GT7, it's always fun to be in awe of others laptimes and to see the liveries they create.

Hey my name is Brian

I found GTplanet through various questions I had about GT7.

I am from Wisconsin, USA

When did I start playing racing games? That’s difficult to recall considering Atari’s were released when I was a kid. The past games that I remember the most were a rally title on the original Xbox and the Forza racing titles.

Just purchased a racing wheel a few weeks ago and received the stand I needed a few days ago. The wheel is a GT 29 from Logitech.

For other games I tend to gravitate towards rpg’s and action rpg’s.

What I am looking forward to in the community is reading posts from other members and hopefully at some point getting involved in the esport aspect or maybe racing with others and learning more so that I can get better.

Have been adding other racing titles besides GT7 to my library that are the preferred esport titles to see if there is maybe a specific area I like the most. Sort of a tough call when I seem to like them all.

Thanks

Have used the site for ages and never actually registered so...

Hi all and thanks for all the advice and info to date.

Roll on some more GT7 updates and, of course, the ability to sell cars....

Thanks,
Simon

Hi, I heard about GT Planet on Reddit and various others recommendations from people on the internet. I live in Northamptonshire and I've been playing racing games since VR Racing, Gran Turismo the original game all the way up to GT7. I got a G27 for my PS 3, then I went to a G29 for the PS4 pro and used the G27 gear stick and pedals. I now use a Fanatic CSL ELITE, with a couple of different wheels but I love my McLaren GT3 wheel. I'm still on PS4 pro, I mainly play GT7 but I think I'm ready to to get into Assetto Corsa Competizione, I wasn't good enough before. I do enjoy non racing games too but driving is a commitment 😂. I'm hoping to meet like minded people and to see if there is any leagues I join. Plus get any tips I can just as importantly, share anything that could help someone else.

I found gtplanet on the Gran Turismo website
I'm from Perth, western australia and started with a PS4 pro, seat and GTpro seat and Logitech steering wheel when the pandemic started 2 years ago. I'm 71 yeras old and like to race my son and his friends online. I enjoy making liveries and need some help to upload a decal. I have a 9kb version as well but this system doesn't allow me to attach it. For some reason when I try to upload it it tels me the file format is not supported, but it meets all the requirements.

Try this…
I brought this in through Illustrator - noticed esp on the lettering too many unnecessary path points, so I just simplified them keeping the same shape but halved the no. of path points. Tested on GT7 decal upload and works fine.

How did you find GTPlanet?
Google told me

Where are you from?
Broome, Western Australia

When did you start playing racing games?

Do you play with a steering wheel? If so, what kind do you use?
Nope

What other games do you enjoy?
GTAV (for its chaotic mayhem), CoD, F1 22, WRC 10

What are you most looking forward to doing in the community?
I’m a bit of an Adobe Illustrator aficionado - so helping peeps with their SVGs.

I also use https://compress-or-die.com/svg which is a very good SVG online compression platform. that said, you still need to prep your files properly b/c if you compress too heavily GT7 decal upload will misinterpret the file data. This happens a lot from what I can tell.

I race as RedBearsy (named for my red cloud kelpie, Bear) in distinctive monochromatic livery… c u out there

Well, I've been using this site for info for quite some time now, just have never registered. I believe I found it via google search.

Im from the USA

I've been playing racing games ever since i can remember. Started out on a PC

I've used a steering wheel before, both my own back on xbox 360 and on my buddy's PC, but i have yet to get my own for current consoles.

Racing games are all I really play anymore, mainly GT7.

I look forward to continuing to use this site for racing game information and news and being able to communicate with those in the community about GT7.

Hello everyone,

Old simracer, I started with Grand Prix Legends, then tried almost all simus on pc except Iracing.

I stopped long enough, and the virus took me back, mainly with the discovery of Content Manager, Assetto Corsa being my preference.

I like to drive in reality (I owned Lotus and practiced a bit on circuits, mainly at Bugatti) and in virtual course.

I discovered gtplanet while researching the Net, and I was won over by the simplicity, the great variety of information and the great openness.

Thank you and see you soon! (sorry for my English translated by internet).

I found GT Planet through a search on DuckDuckGo.
I'm from Eastern Montana.
I started in the late 90's/early 00's with GT A-Spec.
I am just a controller peasant.
Snowrunner was what I was playing before I got a used PS4 so I could play Gran Turismo.
Learning about how the game has changed.

  • I found GT Planet through searching for other updates and bug fixes
  • I'm from Philippines
  • I started playing racing games on PS2 with the Need for Speed games, Burnout, and Bandai Namco's The Fast and the Furious game which opened my eyes to the JDM tuner sports car world
  • I use a Logitech G29 as my wheel for playing GT7
  • I enjoy playing the classic GTA Trilogy games and Kingdom Hearts on console. I used to play CSGO a lot on PC because it's a mind game in the form of an FPS theme
  • I would like to look forward to interesting and creative liveries for me to be inspired to make my own, and more especially, might learn some tuning and driving techniques/advices to improve lap times and good car control
