Hi everyone. I am Sean from Kingston Jamaica. Stumbled on to this forum while searching for some information. I design and fabricate driving rigs. I do play racing games but concentrate more on simulators that can be used to teach the basics of real world driving. Does anyone know where I can find like a regular seatbelt that can be used on a simulator with USB connection.
Hey there, i don't think that any games out there even have a "seatbelt" registering system. Gta 4 had a mod for that though, no seatbelt, hit a wall, and you would fly out the front window and die if going too fast.
But overall, it would be "simple to make". Using an usb joystick, any, just disassmeble it and add wires into the seatbelt. Once you put the seatbelt on, the metal parts touch, thus the button on the controller will register a press. And if configured right i'm sure you could make it work in games. Or a driving simulator. I had one at the driving school i was at. It could register when i had the belt on or not.
So it does exist. Just have to be creative, or be rich to buy the real driving simulators and programs.
Hope you figure it out!

Hi everyone!

I find GTPlanet while I was searching a good tuning for my wheel in ACC.
I'm from Italy and my first racing game was F1GP by Geoff Crammond.
Now I'm using a fanatec gt dd pro and I'm here to read all the tips

:gtpflag:

. Google
. I'm from Belgium
. With GTR2 (PC), rfactor (PC) WTCC (PC)
. I play with the joystick because my legs are paralyzed and the appropriate steering wheel is impossible to find or very expensive.
. All sports games and rpg games
. show my car paintings. Communicate with people. Growing the community and benefiting from the experience of others as well as offering mine

SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH

Hello there!
I found GTPlanet many years ago when i was looking for GT7 news back in 2015, but i didn’t create an account until now! I’m from the southern part of Italy and i started playing racing games when i was 4 with NFS Most Wanted and GT4! I play with both controller (either Dualsense or Xbox) and a steering wheel (G29 with a wheel stand pro setup)! My favourite non-racing games are CoD, Fifa and Football Manager! I’m looking forward to enhance my gaming experience in racing games through guides present in your lovely forum!

Hello everyone!

Started playing way back during GT1 release on controller but never got deep into it and I got my first wheel and rig set up for GT7 launch. Playing every day since launch getting better by the day. Also picked up ACC, AC, and F1 but haven’t even tried those yet since I’m still too focused on GT7.

Been lurking on here since launch, thanks to all who’ve contributed to this site being such a great resource for players.

Hello, i was just reading for the last past months and today i've signed up.

How did you find GTPlanet?
Google

Where are you from?
The Netherlands

When did you start playing racing games?
As a kid, don't even remember at what age. Now i'm a 42 year old petrolhead.

Do you play with a steering wheel? If so, what kind do you use?
I used to, but at this moment i don't. I've used the Logitech G25, maybe i will get a G29.. don't know yet.

What other games do you enjoy?
Shooters and sandboxgames like Battlefield, RDR2, GTA, FarCry but also God of War.

What are you most looking forward to doing in the community?
Reading and chatting about GT7.

Hey everyone! 37 Y.O. racer here from Houston. Found this after looking for an alternative to the absolute disaster that is the Gran Turismo Subreddit. Bought my first real rig (G29 for now with Playseat) and am working on getting some decent lap times (Daily Races for now, joined a league but I'm trash lol). Professional designer too so I'll be doing plenty of the livery competitions. Would like to compete and improve my times. Favorite cars are the 911 and Corvette which I'd like to own every version of (in game and IRL).

Other games I enjoy are fighting games (will be playing SF6 when it inevitably comes out) as well as competitive Pokemon (VGC).

Hello everyone, I have played Gran Turismo on and off all my life, starting with GT1 when it first came out in 1997. I have played every GT game since, except GT 6 and 7, as I don't currently have a PS4 or PS5. GT4 is my favorite GT game by a large margin.

How did you find GTPlanet?
From Google search back in the early 2010's, but I only signed up for the site when I recently started playing GT4 again. Been a lurker for a long time.
Where are you from?
United States.
When did you start playing racing games?
Back in 1996 on my SEGA Megadrive/Genesis.
Do you play with a steering wheel? If so, what kind do you use?
For GT games I only use the standard PlayStation controller, but I do have a wheel for Forza on my Xbox 360.
What other games do you enjoy?
Besides GT and Forza, I like to play DOOM Eternal, Sonic, some World of Tanks on my Xbox One, as well as some old-school RTS games on my PC.
What are you most looking forward to doing in the community?
Learning from others about tuning cars and other game knowledge on GT, as well as any other tips or information.

Hi everyone, heard about the site through YouTube comments. Been playing racing games on consoles for 15 years now. Currently on PS4, with GT7 and a few other titles. Using a T248 right now. Hoping to join a league of some kind, looking to get better.

Hello everyone!
I'm Sushii. I'm from the Middle East. To be more specific, I'm from Bahrain. I found GT planet through discord. I started playing racing games when I was 6 years old on the PlayStation 2 with a steering wheel and the paddle shifters and what not. However, I don't use a steering wheel when playing racing games right now as I own a PS5 and I tend to use the dualsense controller only. I love all genres of games - JRPGs, MMOs, Action adventure games mainly story driven games, horror games too (I'm a horror enthusiast!). I joined this forum because I want to get to know people who play Gran Turismo games and other racing games too and learn more about the gt series. 🙂

Hi all!

  • I've heard of this forum in a random FB gaming group.
  • I'm from North Macedonia
  • I've been a gamer since 2010, and enjoy both arcade and sim racing games. GT4 is a real fav of mine!
  • I don't have a steering wheel
  • I also enjoy action RPGs and the Soulsborne genre
  • All video-game related topics interest me!
Cheers!

Hi,
I found gtplanet through Google looking for car set ups to complete a couple of races I was stuck on.
I'm from Glasgow. U.K.
I'm getting to be an old man now, been playing games since amstrad and comadore 16 days.
Came back to gaming again, recently, and was just using the controller. Have recently "borrowed" a wheel and pedal set up from my adult son. Logitech g29.
I mostly enjoy racing and sim racing but do enjoy fps as well.
Looking to learn from these young bods. Car set ups didn't exist in game when I first started playing and have only realised in gt7 how important it can be. Not really had an issue before, so just picked a car and went with it until I won. Lol. Will have a look through the forums and see what else I can find, also will need to buy a wheel at some point, so researching best ps5/pc options as well.

Hi new member here, big F1 fan and gamer mostly PC but I managed to snag a ps5 on release and I've been using it more and more. I've been looking to jump in to GT7 for awhile but I was put off by all the negativity around the game initially but I think nows a good time to jump in just waiting to pick up a decent racing wheel then I'm good to go.

Hello i been away for awhile had to wipe everything clean
heard of GT PLANET from other racers and such
Im from Virgina east side US
I started playing racing games when i was young till adult hood then stepped away for a few years to build my show car threw a pic of here in here since its a car site lol
i recently decided 2 months ago i wanted to stream auto games and play in leagues
So i bought a logitech G923 wheel and sim stand and am currently dialing it in so i can turn the assists off i only got ABS left lol
i enjoy shooter games but mostly stick with the auto games cause i been told im decent for a green fella
As far as what im looking for im not sure i would like to meet people in the games to play with and such but being new and having alot of bad experiences with forums makes me kind of

Hi I am Smokey55, from England I was searching for performance tunes for cars on GT7 and came across GT Planet, thanks for accepting me.
Colin Macrae rally on PS1 1996 I guess
I don’t use a wheel, these days, I am not good enough to benefit from it.
I don’t play any other electronic games.
Mainly performance tips and general chatter.

I have scrolled GTplanet for many years. Old timer here, started with GT2 and got obsessed with it. I'm from the United States. I haven't kept up with Gran Turismo since GT5, so most of what I know is from the older games.

Hello!
Felt it was about time I registered to this site. Don't mind the profile pic, I'm unsure what to put there at the moment
  • How did you find GTPlanet?
Honestly? At this point I don't even know - could've been Google for all I know. What I do know is that I've known about GTPlanet for years.
  • Where are you from?
Sweden. Wonderful and beautiful country I know (writing this while winter is starting to roll in so big /s here) :P
  • When did you start playing racing games?
Probably when I was about... 6? First Moto Racer 3, then 18 Wos and NFSU2 and it sorta snowballed from there I think.
  • Do you play with a steering wheel? If so, what kind do you use?
Pending on the game yeah, Logitech G29. Tend to resort to controller for most games due to laziness, but in some cases (ETS2/ATS), playing with a wheel is a must really.
  • What other games do you enjoy?
Gonna answer this from the perspective of non-racing/driving/vehicle games - Minecraft, Google Maps (if that counts).
  • What are you most looking forward to doing in the community?
Having interesting, open-minded discussions about driving games and aspects about them (primarly thinking Forza I'll be honest), but I'm far from opposed to discussing other games or things if I find it worthwhile.
