I found GTPlanet a few years back, as I was searching for a calculator to set up gear ratios in GT6.
I am from Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany.
I started playing racing games at the age of 6, back in 2011. Together with my father, I used to play GT5 and GT6 as soon as it hit the shelves.
I have a Logitech G920 for Xbox One, but I rarely play on my Xbox anymore, that is why I play mostly with controller.
I really enjoy pretty much all games with cars in them, because I'm a huge car fan. Another Game that I really enjoyed playing was the campagne of Titanfall 2 and Star Wars Battlefront 2 together with friends.
I don't really know what I am looking forward to the most, but I hope to meet new people, who are as crazy into cars as I am.

Iv been using GT Planet since early on in GT Sport but never registered
I have lived a lot of places but live in PR
My cousin and I made a driving game on my Vic 20, so around original Pole Position
I used to play occasionally on a wheel back on GT 3 and have recently obtained a Tbrustmaster wheel
i play some FPSs and a boatload of veh games
I hope to learn all that I need to know

Hi everyone,

I stumbled on GTPlanet while searching for strategy hints to the Human Comedy challenges. It's simply incredible I never found it before (or maybe I simply don't recall it - I'm getting old...

) since I've been playing racing games since Microprose F!GP on PC in 1993. Then Indycar racing, countless "games" and then, when I converted to consoles, GT4 and GT5, Forza 1 & 2... then a kid came, and then again (with him) GT Sport and finally GT7 on PS4 and PS5.

Racing both with a controller AND a Logitech G29 on a Playseat, depending on time available and the general situation. And used to play GT Sport with PSVR - hope that Sony hurries up in releasing PSVR2. I'm from Italy, and look forward to exchange tips, info and general strategies.

Evening everyone! Not much to tell really. I’ve been playing GT as long as I can remember (I’m old) but last year I purchased the Logitech wheel combo and shifter to add something to game play. As I’ve progressed I’ve become increasingly interested in breaking roofs and getting better at the game. Live in Texas and avid race/ car enthusiast. Not the greatest but can give a good race. If anyone wants to rip some gears, holla at me.

I am a car enthusiasts for a very long time (I am nearly 60 yrs), have been aware of GTP for several years but don't know if I have any contributions to this wonderful collection of members (reason I've just now became a member). Have played Gran Turismo from day one and i enjoy all "cockpit" games. I have a G29 wheel on my PS4 and this community has helped me with many game related issues over the years. I was part of a good racing team for a few years, GTRT. Some tunes I've learned and tweeked for my style may be helpful to others but till I try and put it out there I will never know. I'm here now to see if I can contribute. Thanks for allowing me to try.

Yo everyone. My name is Brian. Nickname is Shemp. I play GT7 25th anniversary on PS5. Been playing racing games for years. I don't use a steering wheel. The other game I switch back and forth right now from GT7 is COD Modern warfare 2.

I found GTplanet thanks to the Whamageddon wikipedia page
I'm from France
I played Colin McRae, Gran Turismo and NFS on Playstation (a long long long long long long time ago) and the last time i "raced" was Mario Kart on Wii at a friend's house (with the wii wheel)
I mostly enjoy playing boardgames and escape games online but also some rpg/point&click

I'm here for the ApoCareypse but will also try to survive the Wham challenge 🤞

Help: Cafe Menu 5 Honda Civic Type R (EK)98

I found GTPlanet with a google search.
I am from the USA
I have been playing racing simulators for over 10 yrs
I don't use a steering wheel at this time I only play with the controllers
I also like to play COD
My biggest challenge that I am asking for help on is in the GT7 Cafe I am stuck on Menu 5 to collect Japanese FF cars. I can't seem to find the Civic Type R (EK) 98. I competed and won first place in Suzuka GT.R3 but was not awarded the car. How do I get this car because I really want to go online and race?

I'll make it short so it's less of a read: I'm Weisser. Ignore my leetspeak username. I found myself on this forum while researching about Gran Turismo's history. I got into GT through Sport, and ever since then, I've been wanting to experience the past games and I am doing so right now with GT2. I mostly play these games with a controller, as wheels are too expensive in the country I'm from. I enjoy a variety of games, but I always have been a racing game enthusiast ever since childhood. Hello everyone I go by Voodoo021,

I found GTPlanet a couple years ago when searching for tips and setups for GTSport. I hail from the US and I’ve been playing racing games since the original PlayStation. Started out with Test Drive: Off Road.

I play with the Thrustmaater T300RS and I love it, but I would love to get a Fanatec.

I have lost taste for most other video games I’ve the past few years as they are more online focused rather than the single player.

I am looking forward to continuing to find the best tips and setups for GT7 as well as share some that have worked well for me.

Hello, I'm Antonio - BEAMER3K.
I'm new here but I have been a huge fan of many different racing games over the years.
Mainly Gran Turismo and Forza.

I prefer much more realistic sim racing on real world circuits over arcade racing in an open world type game.

I have a very high preference for Gran Turismo 7, GT: Sport, and Forza Motorsport 7.

I'm also a photographer in GT.
I've taken many shots in GT: Sport and have a handful in GT7.

Surfing the web from the United States early 90’s with the saga system now have the ps1,2,3,and 5 racing games and consoles as well as 1 thru 7 Gran Turismo favorite is the ps5 Gran Turismo 7 use controller will get the wheel later looking for info and giving info thank you

The first one I can remember was gt2 on PS1,
I just got my first wheel about a month ago, a Logitech g29,
I play all kinds of games but for racing games recently I just played Dirt 2.0, very casually though,

Hey all! Finally decided to do a post and this looks like the appropriate place. Mid 40's, married, multiple children. Play golf when I have time, then sim-race is second choice. Probably play between 4-8 hours a week, maybe less. Oh, avatar is me sitting in the OG Knight Rider K.I.T.T. car when I was 9 years old.

How did you find GTPlanet?

Long time lurker but originally found GTP when researching for the release of GT7.

Where are you from?

When did you start playing racing games?

When I was young. I think Spyhunter was the first game and then Outrun. Stopped playing in High School and got back into it when Forza 2 came out. Dropped out again after Forza 3 (kids) and just started again with GT7.

Do you play with a steering wheel? If so, what kind do you use?

Purchased a T300RS after I sold some golf clubs back in March. Moved onto a TS-XW. Now I have a Fanatec DD1 currently on being shipped to me.

What other games do you enjoy?

Since getting back into racing, I've moved back to Xbox Series X. Only play FH5 and FM7. Looking forward to new FM next year.

What are you most looking forward to doing in the community?

One thing I've always been good at is tuning cars in games where that is required. Thinking I'll be able to perhaps put some good stuff out for FM8 on Wheel tunes? Participate in Forza Forums.

[*]first racing game i put a ton of time into was Need For Speed 3 Hot Pursuit. Played only demos of GT 1 and 2 and got a ps2 late in the cycle so first GT game I put a lot of time into was GT4 and later GT5

[*]Not many will believe this but I play with motion controls on the controller! Probably not for everyone and took some getting used to but it’s extremely responsive and honestly can’t imagine playing console racers without it now but it seems GT is the only console racer to offer this feature

[*]all kinds but mainly FPS, RPG (very selective on this) and some sports games

[*] keep up to date on GT news and what caught my attention most was the community time trials

Well, whenever I googled Gran Turismo it came up, when I was little I thought it was a specialized magazine and that they only loaded me with the discussion threads of said articles, but I'm dummy and it was always a forum.
Where are you from?

I'm not sure, maybe at 4 with the OG Gran Turismo.
Do you play with a steering wheel? If so, what kind do you use?

I would really like to have one but I still use a controller, I would like a T300RS GT to have compatibility when I fix my PS3 but they are quite expensive and I am quite broke ¯\(ツ)/¯
What other games do you enjoy?

Fantasy and science fiction, I also like airplanes. Sometimes I play fighting games but I'm terribly bad at them.
My favorite game is Nier Replicant, I even like the trilogy that preceded it a lot, and of course I absolutely love Nier;Automata.
What are you most looking forward to doing in the community?

Learn about cars, and all the Gran Turismo games that I have not been able to play, share images or drawings and be part of the threads as well as getting along as best I can with the community since we all share a common love and that is motorsport💛

Hi I found your site while searching for a glitch issue in GT7.
I am from Harrisburg PA USA
I’ve been playing Gran Turismo since 1999, had 6 out of the 7 versions.
I use the Logitech G923 wheel in a homemade little race car box I built out of 1/2” plywood and a gaming chair.
World of Outlaws is a fun game with the wheel too.
