Hi all! I really like car racing. I often watch Formula 1 and Rally. I also like Speedway.
Used to play NFS, but no time for that now. Nevertheless, I like to learn about racing cars :) Glad to be here!
 
  • How did you find GTPlanet? - Googled Gt7 builds, news and engine swaps.
  • Where are you from? Australia (mate)
  • When did you start playing racing games? started on PS1 with the first Gran Turismo (when the Mitsubishi GTO was a god) back in the 90s
  • Do you play with a steering wheel? If so, what kind do you use? I was gifted a Logitech G29 as a farewell gift from the team I worked with at my last workplace, It was an amazing gift to receive.
  • What other games do you enjoy? MTG Arena, God of War, Pokemon, and lots of old retro classics from the 80s/90s on my Anbernic RG280V
  • What are you most looking forward to doing in the community? providing help where I can and looking for insights from fellow GT fans for builds, cars, race techniques, etc., and possibly sharing some of my dirty and rusty car decals i build in GT7.

How I found gtplanet
I was finding camera codes for gt psp until I found This site, a random person shared the code

Nope, I only have a phone, I play games on an emulator
Asphalt 8, Asphalt 9, SM64 [emulated], Burnout Legends [PPSSPP]

Hi everyone! I started getting into cars in 2020. Learned about this site about a year ago looking for Assetto Corsa F1 mods and decided finally to join today. Lovely community overall. Can't wait to become part of it!
 
New to the forum.

Found it by accident looking for info on gt7
Playing racing games since the late 1980's (😅😅) starting in arcades(specifically Dublin airport, Ireland) chase hq was the business!

Have played on everything mainstream from Atari 2600 to present (admittedly not yet tried the ps5 or latest Xbox)
Currently on ps4 after a stint on Xbox-not really a fan tbh (first system was an Amstrad 464...don't be complaining to me about load times kids😂)

Will play most anything but mostly GTA(waiting for 6,not redoing 5 again on ps4) but racing games are mostly the focus.

Currently on controller but hopefully a wheel in the near future.

On the forum to pick up hints and hopefully some racing friends

Into racing games since the early 90s with Angel Nieto Pole 500 and Geoff Crammond's F1 GP
My 1st wheel was veeeery bad, pedals broke after 1 month, next DFPro, now I use the Logitech G920, can't afford more :(
I play Assetto Corsa, BeamNG and MotoGP. I'm looking forward for TDU Solar Crown
I used to play Automobilista 1 & 2, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Richard Burns Rally, Colin McRae Rally, WRC, Dirt Rally, WSBK, F1, MXGP... well, almost every racing game

found you guys from googling how to get the formula gt in gt5 but i still cant find it. im from canada, and i grew up with a ps2 and a wii, mario kart, nfs undercover, gt4 and a couple hours of gt3 before my disk got scratched. only wheel i have currently is for my wii that i still have, my only upgrade being to ps3 phat which is still my newest system. i did enjoy bo2, mw2 and gta 5 when they were still playable. hoping someone here can help me get ,y hand on a formula gt in gt5

Great site, lots of resources and helpful comments.
I found this site when looking for an Ac track Interlagos.
I hail from New Zealand , a Kiwi.
Started playing after building a 3DOF simulator. 2018
Mainly use AC but have ACC, Dirt Rally, F1(Crap IMO), used to use iRacing but not value for money.
Follow V8 supercars and F1, love to drive tracks before watching so know the layout. And Indy Cars :-)
Looking forward to meeting like minded people.

Found the site while searching for tune set ups for a racing group I’m in.
Been a GT fan since the beginning. Finished all but 5 and Sport over the years, but just got into online racing in the past few months.

  • What are you most looking forward to doing in the community? : Car settings I guess. Will check on the other forum & thread to discover a bit too.

  • Do you play with a steering wheel? If so, what kind do you use? : Thrustmaster TGT II with Inverted G29 pedals with truebrake v.2 Mod and true pedal v1.1 linear potentiometer upgrades and spring swaps
  • What other games do you enjoy? : COD, NFS, NBA2K, SF
  • What are you most looking forward to doing in the community? : Car Tuning, Rig Upgrades

  • Browsing around looking for information in regards to G923 wheel compatibility with the New Logitech G Pro Pedals
  • Raised in the islands (HI) but currently in Portland, OR freezing :lol:
  • Started with Gran Tourismo (first one) but this year is a first that I actually went with a full sim rig.
  • Currently on Logitech G923 with truebrake mod and extreme invertered pedal kit. All mounted on Next Level GT Track SIM Rig
  • MMORPG / FF7 / but really been stuck on GT7 and havent played any other games in awhile
  • Exchange ideas / info and connect with other local SIM racers and possibly trade parts or purchase (A person's trash is another person's treasure)
 
Welcome guys, Jordan has done a great job keeping this site running and clean, and thanks to Famine and the other administrators here. Still going strong to this very day! I believe August 2022 was my 1-year anniversary, so I've been here 16-17 months and I love it!

Hi everyone, my name is Mark. I am from San Francisco, California in the USA.
I found GTPlanet just google searching for sim racing forums. It seemed like the one I wanted to be part of so, here I am.
I've been playing racing games since the first racing game came out after "Pong". (Can't remember the name).

I've been racing cars of all kinds except for real ones. Hot Wheels, Slot cars, RC cars, Go Karts. I wanted to graduate to racing real cars but its expensive and potentially dangerous. Gran Turismo has always been my favorite game to date but I suspect a graduation in the near future for me. I was racing with a controller until just recently I FINALLY got a force feedback wheel, pedals and a buttkicker. I'm waiting on some Black Friday deals to target a cockpit a ultra wide screen. I'm going with a wide screen versus triples because I still have love for Gran Turismo and so, far triples is not supported yet.

I'm currently playing Gran Turismo 7 on PS5 but, I have Asseto Corsa Competizione downloaded and ready to go as soon as I get my cockpit and improve my driving skills.

I'm here to get ideas and the latest on hardware, there's a lot out there.

Good day everybody... I've a problem.. as beginner I need to pass GT Cup GR 4 using GR Supra Race, but I don't find a good set up to arrive in the first 3 positions.. I need to arrive to 630 PP but when I change something the car dasent go enough to compete with the other... could you please give me an help how to pass this race and same with GR3 race setting ?? Thanks a lot to everybody.. R

I am from North Carolina
Been racing for many years
I race in a rig using Thrustmaster equipment
I also play FPS to keep my combat skills frosty
Looking to be apart of a racing community that appreciates and respects racing ethics and driver respect. Hope to see you all on the track.
 
Hello everybody! My name's Nathan, long time GTPlanet forum stalker here, finally jumping on board to the community 😀

I found GTPlanet a long time ago, probably been using the site since its infancy. I'm from Adelaide, South Australia. Was home to the final F1 GP from 85-95, mum took me when I was 5 years old in 1990 & set my path in life.

My first racing game was an F1 game for Sega Megadrive, but properly started racing when I got my hands on the og GT in 1998 😄

I've got a G29 setup at home, also have the older GT Driving Force if I feel like cutting laps in GT3 or GT4. Got a whole room at home dedicated for this. Golded the Nurburgring CE yesterday so the setup definately helps.

I love playing Generation Zero atm, also been a massive fan of Elder Scrolls Skyrim.

I'm a bit old-school when it comes to GT7, love playing off-line. Really enjoy creating custom race events, made my mini Daytona 500 (feat a full 20x race grid of Mustang GTs, Camaro SS & the Lexus RCF) I love customising & tuning cars over collecting everything...

In real life I'm a mad Hotwheels collector (have over 1000 cars on display at home) and own an FN2 Type R that sits on bronze Work Kiwamis.

  • How did you find GTPlanet?
    Can't even tell, been following you guys since... idk, GT5? let's go with 2010 or something.
  • Where are you from?
    Brazil, but living in Western Canada!
  • When did you start playing racing games?
    Since I was 3 or 4, back in the Sega Master System! Played pretty much every GT except for GT3 (got a PS2 when 4 was already around)
  • Do you play with a steering wheel? If so, what kind do you use?
    A G920!
  • What other games do you enjoy?
    AMS2, F1, Sonic, DnD stuff
  • What are you most looking forward to doing in the community?
    Providing mostly positive stuff, sharing pics, that sort of stuff!
