I learned of the forum yesterday from a friend, so i tought i check it out.
I'm from Belgium.
I'm started playing racing games around the time (maybe before) of gran turismo 1.
I'm using a logitec g29, but planning to upgrade to a direct drive in the future.
To much to mention🙈 i like single player story games, online not so much exept for racing games.
I'll use this forum mostly for learning more about gt7 and tuning.

I found this site on good 'ol Google and it looked pretty good.
I live in Sydney Australia and have been playing racing games for around 10 years mainly playing rFactor and GTR2.
Of late, I am using a Thrustmaster T300 RS GT wheel which I find exceptionally good especially the force feedback.
My other interest is Microsoft Flight Sim 2020 which looks great in 4K with everything or mostly everything turned up to ultra.
I hope to find like minded people here and hopefully win a few races or at least get a podium finish.

I've been visiting this site off and on for years. I didn't realize that I had never posted until today when I learned I didn't have an account.
I'm from the East coast of the United States.
I always loved racing games, but I didn't get obsessed with them until the original Gran Turismo came out.
I have a Logitech G29, but due to space issues, I usually use the PS5 controller.
Early on in Covid I was enjoying iRacing, but stopped when my old PC started to struggle.
Learning about GT7.

Juego en Xbox, y sin volante
Busco principalmente información sobre nuevos juegos de conducción, en especial Test Drive Solar Crown, que es un juego que espero con muchas ganas, y cada vez veo que se retrasa más jeje

Found this forum by googling after getting gt7 and now I wanted to reply on a question somebody asked; and for that I need an account.
I am from the Netherlands.
I started playing gran turismo 2 when that was available.
Play with a thrustmaster t300 rs gt.
I dont really enjoy other games, except that I have played crossout with friends in a competitive manner but when you get to the top it gets boring.
Probably I am here for asking questions or helping out mostly.
 
GTPlanet has been famous for years now.
What brought me here was the help I needed to install "GT6 Spec II 2.0.0b6". After a week of trying, finally I make it with "Cached" version on "CFW 4.89.3 Evilnat Cobra [D-PEX]". (mess with many problems on REBUG_4.84.2_D-REX I was before.)
* Do not transfer large files like PDIPFS through connection, possibly there will be big risk of errors and/or corrupted files. Thus, prefer USB transfer.

Hi all, I'm adonios77 from Athens GR.
Personally, I always considered (any) GranTurismo the best game of all the time, and the "motor sports" in general better than all the rest. I own all original GranTurismo discs from PS1 to PS3 of course. :)
I started gaming at PS1 age, later passed to the PS2 and recently gave me a PS3. For me, as always, were all hacked of course, (by me, at an amateur level) because the original limitations of the consoles over time became more and more unacceptable and limited their usability dramatically. I've never played an online game, but I've 'won' a lot more. (perhaps because I am one of those who like to experiment and learn how it works and modify devices, programs, tools... PS Consoles, PCs... in amateur level for myself.)
Using "Logitech Driving Force" wheel or Dualshock3.

Maybe at soon later, maybe with your help, I would manage to make some 'F1 2023 Circuits' (like ie. Saudi Arabian GP) for GT6.

My name is Tom and I’m from Belgium. My PSN name is also GT_Super7cat. I’ve chosen this name because I own a Caterham Super 7 😎 Sadly there are no Caterhams or Lotus in GT7….

The first racing game I’ve played was GT1. But I played not that much that time. Several years later GT5 and 6 on the PS3. Since end of last year GT7 . I took some time to buy a PS5. 😞
Also played a bit of ACC but not anymore now that we have GT7/PSVR2.

Currently I’m playing on a Logitech G29. But I’ve bought a Fanatec DD Pro today. 😄

I found GTPlanet via Google. After I’ve searched GT7 + PSVR2

I’ve preordered the PSVR2 immediately. I’m very addicted to it now……

I like other games like RE8, StarWars, FarCry, Uncharted….

Started playing racing games back in the early 90s and grew up with road rash, F1 titles, Need for speed series, Toca Touring cars amd them of course the original GT all the way to todays GT7

What other games do you enjoy?
Enjoy a good bit of COD, Fifa, Pro Evo, god of war...

I found GTPlanet on many different occasions, usually for guidance on Gran Turismo.

I am from Baltimore, USA.

I started playing arcade style racing games like Mario Kart on SNES. I also played the original Need for Speed on my PC in the mid-1990s. My first Gran Turismo game was GT3 A-Spec. I played and thoroughly enjoyed GT4, GT5, and GT6. I skipped PS4, so no GT Sport. I bought a PS5 about 6 months ago with GT7 as my first game for my new console.

I have played on rigs with wheel, pedals, and stick shift. I didn’t get much time to figure it out and had trouble feeling it.
I am curious about a reasonable wheel and pedals setup. I am terrible when driving manual. I only really use it for drift competitions or challenges in GT.

I enjoy story driven western-style RPGs. Also immersive sims like Dishonored, Prey (2017), RDR2, Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Mankind Divided, etc.

I look forward to participating in discussions, learning about how to Gran Turismo better.

-I found about GTPlanet when looking for prize car lists for GT4
-Tunisia
-Arround the age of 4 or 5 with GT5 on my PS3
-I never had a steering wheel
-I (weirdly) enjoy challenging games like Battletoads (I beat it)
-Just chilling with the community and stuff

I regularly use reddit and their GT sub. A user mentioned this website. So I made my way over.

I'm from the East Midlands UK.

I've played racing games since 'Total Driving' from the PS1 days & 'TOCA'. I was around 5 years old. I'm now 30.

I play alot of games, currently GT7, The Witcher 3, Mass effect 1, Cyberpunk2077. I have a young son and a business to run so finding time isn't as easy as it was before, but it is more rewarding. 🥹

I'm looking forwards to learning more about GT7 and chatting with other players.

My name is André and I’m from Portugal. I’ve been playing all sorts of driving games since I was a kid, and already played every GT game. I’m 48 now and still play with remote, never got used to a steering wheel unless it’s on a real car. I’ve been testing and writing about cars for the last 26 years. I just love the Gran Turismo saga and how it has evolved in terms of driving feeling. I’m also curious in Forza, never tried it.

I’ve found GT Planet when I was looking online for some settings. Love to spend time doing livery’s for my favorite cars in GT7 and doing my daily passage through LaSarthe. Still haven’t managed to do a lap in less than four minutes in the PP600 category. Aiming for Platinum Trophy and the full car collection. Missing seven now…

When I was at Middle school. First racing game I played was NFS3 on PC, and it was complimentary with the video card, which was Nvidia riva 128 with 4m VRAM . :P

Yes, TS-PC with Drivehub. I love my 488 challenge wheel, unfortunately the TC2 knob didn't work no more. Anyone know how to fix it? :P

Plenty! I'm an inclusive gamer and love all kinds of games. Now I'm playing resident evil 4 Remake.

Hello everyone Chow here,
Funny enough, I found GTPlanet in search of Hololive vinyls for FH4 & FH5 and found the community interesting enough to make an account so yeah. Lol
I’m from the United States down in the Southern California area.
I guess my start with racing games would be Mario Kart back in like 2010-2012, kid at the time.
Don’t play with a steering wheel but would like to get one if I get more into vehicle based games, in which I tend to fly more than I drive. Would still like to have one though.
I’m a bit of an all-rounder when it comes to games, play a bit of everything. I play more FPS games such as CoD and Battlefield but also play open worlds like ARK, GTA V, and Minecraft.
I look forward to seeing how this community continues to grow and how VTubers, my original goal, comes into play.

I have know about GT Planet for quite a few years but since I have never raced online with Gran Turismo, I would visit the forums occasionally as an outsider.
I live in Atlanta Georgia, USA
I started playing racing games with Sega Rally Championship on the Sega Saturn. I started Gran Turismo with the GT1 and have owned all versions except for GT Sport. I skipped the PS4 era.
I have always played my racing games with a wheel, even GT1. I ordered wheels through magazines and eventually bought a madcatz wheel for my PS One. I currently use a Fanatec CSL DD and V3 pedals with a Collective Minds Drive Hub.
I have also enjoyed Project Gotham Racing 1,2,3 and 4. Forza through Forza 7, WRC. On PC, Live for Speed (my first for PC) Dirt Rally and Dirt Rally 2, Assetto Corsa, Project Cars 1 and 2, Iracing, ACC, R3E and AMS2. I race mostly in VR if the game supports VR since 2016 with the Oculus Rift . My current PC setup is an i5 - 6600k with 1080Ti and triple 27 inch monitors. As you can see from my PC specs, my VR experience has not been its best for the past couple of years. My wife bought my a PS5 for fathers day in 2022 and I ordered a PSVR2 in hopes of GT7 supporting VR.
I am hoping to build a relationship with a group of racers that don't mind me pulling up the rear. LOL. GT7 in VR has reinvigorated my desire for racing. It's an awesome sim!

Hi everyone! I’ve been lurking in the shadows for a while but finally decided to join. I’m from England.

Started playing racing games on PS1 with the original Gran Turismo. I now play GT7 on my PS5 with a pad, and ACC on my PC with a Logitech G923 - looking to upgrade to a Fanatec DD and rim later this year. I’m also looking forward to the upcoming Rennsport.

I like shooters and action adventure games too.

Hello all! To answer the question prompts above:

  • I found GTPlanet a couple of months back when I was looking for information about the CollectiveMinds Drivehub and I was directed here from Reddit when I posted a question regarding Drivehub related stuff (I'll make a post for that in the appropriate forum later tonight).
  • I'm currently in Walla Walla, home of the first purpose built drift track in the US (Villains Sportsland)
  • I've been playing racing games as far back as the original NES, even though it's older than me. Rad Racer, Super Mario Kart, F-Zero were some of my earliest racing games. Grew up on NFS in the Most Wanted/Carbon era and dropped off a little later. Played a few of the Forza Motorsport games and various racers throughout the years.
  • I play on a mishmash of equipment, it's in my bio, but I am loving the Logitech G Pro Wheel that just came in last Friday!
  • I play Destiny 2 with the homies, I love fighting games (Guilty Gear Strive, excited for Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8), and I'm big into pinball
  • I joined this community to ask about Drivehub stuff, but I'd love to make some racing friends, maybe get some drifting pointers at some point
