The 4G would be worth it, IF I ever used 3G, which I don't. Everywere I go nowadays there is a wifi connection on offer. Not to mention that every time I actually properly use my phones Internet, I'm in my house, which has a 60 meg connection. Ain't no mobile connection can match that.

I heard that 4G in some areas will get over 100mb/s download speed which is faster than most wireless connections.

I can't be on wifi at work or in my car, so it's worth it to me. I'll use it at my house, but I don't use my phone when I'm home so it doesn't really matter.

Well I can't be on wifi in the car, but TBH I do believe that the phone should be out of reach if your driving, unless your a passenger, then that's ok! But I'm never a passenger, and on the odd occasion I am a passenger, I am finding new and entertaining ways of making my daughter laugh!

Yes, faster than wireless B and G but not most wireless N(up to 300mb/s) connections and not the new wireless AC technology(up to 1.7Gb/s depending on the router).

Never knew of that sorry. Don't think anything like that is available where I live yet. I've got 140mb/s fibre optic which is the fastest I could get.

I have 60 m/b, with a super hub, gonna upgrade to 120 m/b in the next 6 month. That's more than I need, what I have now is enough for what I use. One of my friends has a server in his spare room upstairs. I couldn't even tell you what connection he needs, but I know that he runs 8 pc's off it all hosting some kind of software that I know nothing about. He runs some kind of computer physics company in America, god knows what Internet he uses.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaanyway this is about as off topic as off topic could be!

I just use my phone as a music player an hook it through Bluetooth. It's nice to have LTE when it comes to playing Spotify since I can use a higher quality audio stream.

Oh man that's me right now. Both those phones are top phones out there but I think the S3 just beats it since it has a lot more features. How do you find battery life on it, I have heard people say its so awful an others say its spectacular?

Battery life is Ok for a smartphone. Charge over night, 28% left in the evening at a working day.
I'm a big Apple fan, and I enjoyed my Iphone4 very much, but when you start using Android, it's like losing handcuffs.
Features like drag and drop to the phone, sharing via bluetooth and customization (without jailbreaking and stuff!!!) is something you really miss going back to Apple.
For my part, I'll wait what the 5S has to offer. Samsung is 1st choice at the moment, and if it's just for the price ;)

As I see it now, if your planning on buying a top end phone, you have a choice of a IPhone 5, S II, or a galaxy note 2.

If it were my money I would go with the note 2.

SII? I assume you missed the last I because I don't know why you would get the galaxy 2 over the 3. At this moment you're right I think those are the top ones as well. Some come super close but just a bit behind. The note 2 I don't think is out yet so I cant get that anyway tho and iPhone 5 is too damn expensive in everyday especially plans. S3 is only choice I have really.

more features? imo iphones are about their wide variety of customization, after you jailbreak ofc ^^

Lol well if you are gonna jail break it than it would be compared to a rooted S3. Than it comes down to just power and quad core S3 wins. Just standard tho the S3 has a ton more features and freedoms. A lot aren't super important but would be very usable for my life. Like flip the phone over and it instantly goes to silent mode. Than flip it back and it tells you if you missed anything. Right now I flip my iPhone over when I walk away so no one can read any messages or calls but it would be better if it just didn't get any when I did that. So that's a feature that I would use a ton.

Edit: guy above this post.
Ya I hear people complain about charging it but really with any smart phone your gonna have to charge it once a day no matter what. So I don't really see that as an issue. Drag and drop and a lot of other cool features I might get screwed out of since I have a Mac computer and I heard the S3 is awful on Mac. One big thing I am not looking forward to. It's pretty much just connect phone for songs anyway tho so not sure how much it will suck yet.

I have to agree with you, although I would pick the note 2, unless I had an iPhone that was jailbroken.

@shmogt yea I did miss a I off! Lol.

Yeah the iPhone is to expensive, I guess what your paying for is the brand. I haven't said anything that nobody already knows, but nobody can deny that apple products are especially hard wearing. I haven't had another phone that is as durable as my iPhone 4.

Before this phone I had a experia play for about 2 month, and can I just say that root is a brilliant, errrrrm well it's a brilliant thing, I say that because it's not a phone, well being a phone isn't its primary function, it's a kind of psp lite. If there could be such a thing, but my god it's good. Nearly as good as an iPhone, there is only one thing wrong with it, it's reliability let it down. The screen was made of some kind of plastic, so scratched far too easily. Also if you asked it to be a phone, it couldn't but it could do everything else like a baws!

The Note 2 is great, but for my everyday use at work it's the few mm too big ;)

I unplugged mine at 7am, use it for FB and GTP while I'm in work (my line of work discourages personal use of the PC) and I've txt and called throughout and I still have 50% battery left on the S3 :odd:

unplugged at 6am, music to and from work. FB and email at work + non stop calls. Angry birds and Bad Piggies on the loo. 9:30pm home 28% left ;)

S3 is a big as hell screen for me. Not sure whether it's a pro or a con. iPhone 5 screen would be good since regular stuff would feel the same and movies would just be better. Note 2 is better than everything spec wise but for me the screen is way to big. I mine as well just get the tablet version and it has the S pen which I don't care about. I could buy the S pen for the S3 if I really wanted I just don't see the point of one for my use.

Also not sure if you guys have seen this but it's updated all the time and the note 2 got behind the iPhone 5 for being too niche. S3 is still holding it down as best phone. http://m.techradar.com/news/phone-a...-best-mobile-phones-in-the-world-today-645440

I have to check out these days how the I5 feels. But first day I had my S3 I thought it's too big.
Now after a while it feels perfect. Every time I use my Iphone it just feels weird.
But I think that's personal perception anyways, just hold them and compare!

Lol ya that's how it's gonna be whenever you switch phones. I have a 3GS right now and it weights the same as the S3 and had a rounded feel so I don't think I would notice as much of a change in feel. Do you have a case for yours? In not a huge fan of the plasticky feel to the S3 but I am gonna get a wrap for it. Slickwraps.com has the vinyl wraps they put on cars and plans but for your phone. They make them for other phones as well and I seen a lot of videos of them on YouTube that look pretty sweet. I can't decide if I should get the carbon fibre one or the gun metal one.

That's some good battery life!
I went to London last week and used my phone for games on the way down (8am), navigation round the streets, games while waiting for my girlfriend in her interview and then more navigation, internet browsing and radio on the train home. It ended up with 14% battery when I got home at 6pm. Not bad given the reputation the One X has!

Just saw this thread and thought I'd post, I just bought aq used Moto Atrix II for 40 dollars still running fine and I see this iPhone 5 commercial making a big deal about it being able to take panoramic pictures. My Atrix been done dat yo!

AMG. - I do it all the time.
But no kid told you about it.

I seen a lot of hate on panorama when iPhone announced it especially from android fans since its been there for so long. However iPhone panorama is much better. With android you hold the phone horizontal but with the iPhone you hold it vertical. The width is gonna be the same in the end but the difference is the iPhone version will be a lot taller as well giving you a larger image when done.

Well Android has nothing to do with how the companies program their built in apps. Android is just the operating system. My old phone, I could take pics with the phone in a normal position. With the Atrix's app you could take it right side up but you'd have to rotate it to see it normally because the buttons are automatically set up in the landscape position. Some phones will change the positions of buttons when you rotate the phone. Some phone dont. Btw if it was anyother phone, i would have said the same thing. Im not "hating" on the iPhone, although they do s**k and are annoying and should have had panoramic pictures forever ago. Idk about the width part. With my phone, im sure I can do a 360 degree panorama

I got one from Capcase I think.
Mine was one of the first S3 available in the market, so I could only buy the white one.
White is not really my color so I got this black vinyl "wrap" cover.

I will assume you meant Capdase since thats what google tells me is right. Ya they have lots of colors to choose now but still only white and blue in Canada. I'm gonna try to get the blue one but the white is still cool.

Google Maps is now available as a separate app for those on iOS 5.1 and above. I've downloaded it off the app store, and it looks and works fantastic. It now includes public transportation and walking directions too.

Now that Google Maps is out, I can finally upgrade to iOS 6.

Got the iPhone 5 the other day. Took the first one back because no one could hear me when I held it with my shoulder. I thought it was broke but the second one is the same. The technology keeps getting better but the actual phones suck. I don't think I'll be able to deal with it. I might return it and go back to the 3GS. Is anyone else having this problem?

I saw an advert for the iPhone 5 today, highlighting the secondary mic that helps minimise background noise in phone calls...

My Nokia 5800 had that 4 years ago.

I bet that is what is making my voice cut out unless it's right up against my mouth.

Is the bottom edge of the phone free when you hold it in your shoulder? The mic isn't actually on the front of the phone, but that bottom edge.

Got Google maps and seems pretty good. Google actually said the ios version is better than the Android version. I personally still find the Android one better but this one is still great.

Also I was wondering if you have the iphone 5 and put it in a dock to charge at work are whatever can you not listen to music with the headphones? I assume it would be covered since it's at the bottom.
