It works just fine with one screen. You can use shift [ or ] to adjust the tilt, so you can see the tachometer. If your sitting in your car and stick a frame the same distance from your eyes and same size you use in the game what you see through the frame is what you should see in the game.![]()
You can always move closer to your monitor.
hampus_dhYou can choose FOV freely in the same place you put in your numbers for screen size etc.
I could never race what Rudi runs. I´d have no idea where people are, only seeing what´s in front of me. I´d go with 90-100 for single screen users.

thanks but I still don't know where lol.
I'm still trying to get used to the layout
Ok that is perfectly understandable
When you go to "graphics" there´s a column if you will to the right.
There you type in, distance, screen size, monitor size etc.
If you have one screen i´d say F that. Type in FOV to what YOU feel is right.
I promise you, more time is to be gained from improving yourself then gettin the "correct FOV" which in reality it is, but you can´t see **** with that.
Yea, only time to change any graphics is in game.
If you for example have 2-pass shadows turn off then when you turn them on you have to leave the game then join until it´s active.
same with changin res etc but just changing FOV it´s done instantly.
Just thought I'd go on a shopping spree, got the vette, ford gt and v8 and the star Mazda, n for tracks I purchased spa, Suzuka, Phillip island and silverstone. Should be fun
Btw with the advice about lime rock the otter day, managed a 59.5.
I understand the SR system and its purpose, but there should be a curve, for the higher license levels it should be a bit more leniant, I am sometimes afraid to get in a race in fear of how much SR will I loose. It really takes the fun away sometimes...I have a Class A road licence but until yesterday had never driven in a race above Class C. I decided to have a race in the Ford GT in the B class fixed series. I practised until I could get consistent times whilst keeping it on the road so felt confident although I knew I'd be running at the back. Then I entered a race from where it all went downhill. On the warm up lap I ran into the car in front. My fault. 4x. On the fourth lap the car immediately in front of me (that I was battling with) spun and I could do nothing to avoid him. Not my fault. 4x. Then the Acuras started lapping me which made me nervous - cue a few 1xs and a 2x. Then one of the Acuras, whilst lapping me, passed by a little too closely and clipped my front. 50/50. Another 4x. Add in a few more 1xs and I ended up with 21 inc by the end of the race. My average inc per race is about 3! My SR fell by 1.06. :-(
It is a very fine line. And I'm the same as you Jav, I sometimes wont enter certain races for fear of losing too much.
that said, clean race in the nVidia Cup at Lime Rock, +52 SR and I am now Class B! Weee!
No, just no. That would just make it worse....for the higher license levels it should be a bit more leniant
... ford gt
will change in 2 1/2 hours.![]()
