Considering making an iRacing Le Mans series. Would anyone be interested? Schedule will look similar to this;

Sebring - 3 hours
Silverstone - 250 km or 48 laps
Mid Ohio - 1 hour
Mosport - 45 minutes
Spa - 250 km or 35 laps
Lime Rock - 45 minutes
Road America - 1 hour
Suzuka - 250 km or 43 laps
Road Atlanta - 2 hours
Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca - 1 hour

4 hour practice sessions 24 hours prior to the start of next event.
Start time pending.
20 minute warmup
20 minute qualifying sessions for every race.
Race

Race Edits will be made showing the excitement. Can't guarantee amazing video quality though. My macbook can only take so much iRacing and Fraps :\

Mixed class racing (Acura, Corvette, and Ford GT)

Looks like lowest grid amount on the selected tracks is 43. So sign up will be open to 40.

Shinny have you thought of maybe shortening Sebring and Silverstone to a 2hr race? I think anything over the 2hr mark might scare people away...

I considered making sebring 1 hour 30 minutes. Night race. Anybody like the sound of that?

I like the idea!

Just had a great race in the mx5's. Was in 3rd and made an error which let fourth overtake, then for the next 7ish laps we were swapping positions, very considerate of lines and breaking points. The fun ended when he put his rear tyre in the grass and spun infront of me (I avoided). Came third overall but man it was a good race.

Btw noob question, I am rookie with approximately 3.90SR, will I automatically be upgraded to license D when I go over 4SR?

Noob here too! Is that the same for every license too? Upgrade once you get to 4.00?

Im still trying to wrap my hands around this SR thing. Thanks!

At night? well i'm not sure. I bought the game 2-3 months ago and it would be a bit rough for me. I could try though

It's not as bad as you think. Just watch the relative. Sometimes I feel its easier to spot where cars are too. Just look for the headlights. And the track is lit up with runway style lights on the edge of the track (don't like it personally). I don't think they could make it any easier :D

Just spent $800 on a new desktop since my laptop is a little choppy while driving around Suzuka in a Skippy. Guess I'm officially addicted.

Was it a night and day difference? I'm using my laptop too and trying to find the money to put together a reasonably cheap PC. 45 frame rates per second is pretty lame on my laptop.

You don't really need to spend too much on a new PC I get 225+ FPS 150 FPS on the pace lap with shadows on and some tweaking on the settings. I'm currently running a Powercolor Radeon 5750HD graphics card, Corsair Enthusiast 650 power supply, Quad core processor and my setup ran me arround $550 without the monitor(32" Samsung LCD).
I'm pretty sure you can get something better for even less! Check Newegg out, they have some sweet deals and the service is the best!

Thanks Jav, I'll keep these specs in mind when considering upgrades. In the meantime I'll be in slow frame rate land. :)

Newegg is where it's at. got my computer in the US from parts off that site.

Also, if you can afford just a little more, take a look at the AMD A8-3650 processor. You can get it with a motherboard, for £145 from Aria, that works out much cheaper than an Intel Quad core and motherboard. The nearest Intel CPU available for purchase (in terms of benchmark results) is the i5 2300, which is £140 just for the processor (click here). Monstrously quick for the price, you'll easily get 250-300 fps. The OB graphics (an ATi 6550) isn't bad, but combined with a 6750 in SLI would be unbelievable for the cost.

the Czech Republic had a ton of fine females too. They were all tall and looked like models! Wish I could live there for that reason honestly :D

You ain't seen nothing until you stroll through my local wal-mart. :sly:

custom built PC, is all I'm going to say

cheap and a lot more powerful then a cookie cutter PC at a store (when I get a desk top it will be put together by me and my buddy)

I'm still looking for some HDMI cables to connect my laptop to my tv for iracing, I'm looking for a decent brand for under $50 for a 6-8 ft cable

Also is it possible to get clubsport pedals in a store instead of online?
