Is that code individual for you?
And is it the buy 1 month get 2 free deal on resubscribing?

I just got a special 3 month re-activation code for iracing :) I am gonn wait till the end of the month to use it, though. anyone else who took a break from iracing might want to check it out.

How much would I have to pay to re-activate my account? At the moment, I'm not even sure I have the funds to come back.

I am extremely interested in the new tire model that will be coming in 2011. The way the development team is sharing information on their ever evolving product sorta makes gt5 pale in comparison. Of course iRacing is on the pc. The new build has new graphical improvements, but i want more Dx10/11 goodies. i've been a gt fan forever, but i stopped sipping the koolaide once i tried lfs :/
Yeah I got that code also, it saves $18 for the three months' subscription.

I'll only go back to iRacing next year though, when I have enough money to buy cars and tracks too.

just got IRacing today. Signed up for the 1 months deal... to get over the wait for GT5 and its amazing i must say.

Been running several TT and races with the MX5 Cup at lime rock. Great event! lots of racer's and the best of all.... !!!!!!!!!NO PUNTERS!!!!!!

If anyone wants to add me, lemme know 👍

I thought I finally found an answer for my lack of a credit card to buy iRacing. It turns out to be a that it isn't an answer.

There is an company here in Belgium that sells gift card to buy online but it turns out that you can't use it for every online purchase. :guilty:

No iRacing for me, just yet.

If you contact iRacing Im sure you will be able to work something out, where they will allow you to pay for the sub via personal or cashiers check. Someone already successfully did this.

I've emailed iRacing a few times to work something out. No solution yet.

I've emailed insidesimracing to see if they can come up with a solution, in cooperation with iRacing ofcourse.

This solution I have in mind is a solution for everybody on mother earth whom wants to become a iRacing member and doesn't have a credit card.

I used my girlfriend's credit card... but now my Racing name is her name... :yuck:

very nice video :D I am trying to hold out till the end of november before resubscribing, but videos like this make it very difficult :(

A few cars that Trans Tasman Racing is fielding. As can be seen above in Corey's video.

And my first ever attempts at skinning.

First skin attempt was the Truck (turned out "meh")

Second skin I did was the NASCAR COT

Blair did most of the other skins with Corey editing the V8 Supercar from an original design by Jetpac Design.

All of these skins can be found on www.tradingpaints.com. It's a great program to use other, thousands of skins are online and it's pretty cool racing and seeing all the skins people have made. 👍

Lol could be worse at least your name isnt 'Gift Card' like ive seen in the past. You can Email support and they will change the name for you no problems.

lol, ya thats what i did and now im racing under my name.

That video was taking from youtube... would like to see it though.

By the way, today i was racing again in the Iracing Mazda mx5 cup at lime rock and i had a great race being in the lead and having a guy behind me.
Of course i was defending my P1 and won the race, after that he said i was pu**y blocking... i mean whats wrong with these people... dont they watch real life racing and see that driver defend their position... wether is P1 P5 or P18... idiots

Chris

Did you save the replay Chris? It's easy to 'Fraps' it and upload to YouTube.

Sometimes people with less experience about racing-etiquette are messing Defending and Blocking. I dont understand what is the hard part on it, but I can understand that without hundreds and hundreds watched real-life races it might be hard.

Like FIA states, driver can change his line one time on straight, but it must be early enough that driver behind ain't going to get in danger.

Simple as that, but still many guys fail to understand it... mostly what I have seen is that they change back to that original-line and think that rule means you can change one time back to where you were first! What is that logic? :D

New paint scheme from me here. Its inspired by the Schick GT5 promotion currently going on.

Decided to take up the Promo offer iRacing sent to me with the new updates, 3 months for $12, especially seeing how strong the Aussie dollar is right now :)

Will take me up to GT5's release date and beyond to next year, and make a nice opportunity to play them back to back to compare etc.
Although I don't have much content, the base pack, Radical SR8 and Silverstone. I wish the promo codes applied for existing members as well...

Let's see how this feels now after my 1+ year absence

unfortunately i dont have fraps. I think i should be getting it.

had couple of other races in the MX5 at Lime Rock and the leader was blocking me and it was such a great race... its just these "arcade" driver that think blocking is for loosers ...

By the way, when will there be an event with the MX5 at laguna seca for example? its always just lime rock

Chris

Did a bunch of live practise sessions, 1 time trial and a race in the MX-5 on Lime Rock.
Seems like Roadster version handles better than the Cup version.

Surprised how little of the bumps you feel in the MX-5 on Laguna Seca compared to what you expect from iRacing's usual micro-bump FFB feel.

iRacing doesn't feel a whole lot different from before. Still has the iRacing quirks and character. The MX-5 is easier to drive than the Solstice, but I can't say they really feel like totally different cars. Disappointing engine/exhaust sounds

SR8 feels better, much less understeery than I remember. Can get some power over steer out of corners now, but not by a massive amount.

Still don't like the tyre model

You don't need a credit card if you use Paypal. I used Paypal to register the first time, Paypal also means they won't auto-renew your membership which is nice.

Tracks change once a week on Tuesday 00:00GMT. It gives people an entire week to get in there practice and races for the week which in the higher series are needed more then in the rookie series where at anytime you can find a race no problem.

ah ok thanks for clearing that up, so from tomorrow on we will hopefully get rid of Lime Rock :D

Hey guys. If you are interested in good racing, here is a really cool Monday night 10pm Eastern (7pm California) mixed class league featuring the V8 Supercars, Mustang FR500S and Mazda Miata. Fields of 35+ cars. Just had first race this past Monday night. Vampire time for Euros, morning for Aussies.

Quality of the racing is really high, I think there were only 5 cars that crashed out from 35, so there was non-stop action for the entire race.

You can still enter to race at ISRA here or you can send Alex Ulleri a PM on the iRacing forums. http://ileaguerace.com/series/signup/ISRA

There is nothing like racing with fields of 35 or 40 cars. 👍

haha!

I knew you could not stay away from iRacing!! welcome back!
:dopey:

Can Someone send me the templates for the Mazda MX-5 and the Williams FW31? Want to try messing around with those since I haven't painted a car in a while.

I may have to try this out after I play out GT5. Pretty sure my computer would be fine. I've got a good sim setup with G27 with inverted pedals and an Obutto Ozone cockpit.

Having a week to practice on a single track in a single car and then race against other good drivers during that week, sounds awesome.

Moving up in career against other good drivers through fast, clean driving, moving on to faster cars, different series for oval and road racing, etc. All sounds great.

Just to remind some of you guys, Iracing is running this promotion:

iRacing.com has its own Black Friday special: Renew your iRacing membership for a year or more and receive $30 in iRacing credits as a bonus. Use them to purchase cars, tracks, hosted sessions or to extend your membership further. Think of it as a little “thank you” from your friends at iRacing.
Better yet, there’s no need to stand in line at the mall. You can take advantage of iRacing.com’s Black Friday from the comfort of your home. And you don’t have to wait until Friday. At iRacing.com, Black Friday starts Thursday, November 25 (00:01 GMT) and runs through Monday, November 29 (23:59 GMT).

To earn your bonus credits, simply log in to your account, go to My Account, click on Renew Early to extend your membership by a year or more – and we’ll take care of the rest. We’ll e-mail you a promo code by the end of the week of the 3rd which will add the $30 in iRacing credits to your account.

What could be better? Or easier?

Offer valid 11/25/10 – 11/29/10. Limit of one per customer.
