A nice and simple design after 6 months out of iRacing.

It's not perfect, but it's a nice warm up. :-)

(if anyone wants it I will host it somewhere)

Hey guys. Starting to work on paints for next season and I had a bit of a question. I know that the template files now accept 2048x2048 pixels. Well... how exactly do you do that? Just change the size of the image in the Image>Image Size Option? Or is there a whole different template that I need to download.

You can download them from the general painters forum. Or you can scale them yourself. If you do it yourself you will have to copy them to a new file.

Hey guys could one of you maybe replicate this for me?

Doesn't need to have the sponsors just the color scheme and Mika on the side for obvious reasons. :D

I can't paint, but I do have one of these instead :)

I attempted this one a while back, but gave up. Its impossible to make straight lines that connect on the helmet template, it really is terrible.

i just wish there was a way to paint the 3d model instead of the skin for it.... seems this would be so much more easier

The 3D painting programs I am familiar with (e.g., ZBrush) are expensive and are aimed at CG professionals. Besides, I doubt that the car, suit, and helmet models are in a format recognized by such applications.

If my comp wasn't being such a pain, I'd have you one done in a night or two. Its definitely possible, I don't know why these guys find it difficult, just takes a bit of practice and repeated use of the texture reload shortcut in-game to get a reference.

Can you please share a link to that post? I couldn't find it over at iRacing.

Neither could I.

Here's my Class B in 2048x2048. Can't really figure out why my black outlines are blurry but, I eventually just gave up. The number will be changed on iRacing as well.

Hey guys, LONG time paint thread troller. Kamuifanboy and Jav your skins are amazing great work.

First time poster haha. I have been trying to create my own skins for sometime now with PS. But apparently I am not very savvy with PS.

I would like to have a few skins. But i have gotten so frustrated with trying to make them that id just like someone to make them. if anyone is willing to waste their time to make me some skins please feel free to message me. FYI ALL rights will be explicitly given to the creator.

If you're just looking for skins in general (not a specific request), take a look at the Paint Booth forum over on iRacing. There are lots of skins over there that people have shared with the community.

Haven't been doing much painting recently, but heres one I did a couple months ago for someone else. I was pretty happy with how it turned out. (Looks cleaner with higher graphic settings).

Wow! That thing looks amazing! Too bad the number plates have to be there, they are ruining a masterpiece!

hey jav just reminding you about the Ferrari paint if you still have it and want to share it with me no rush to change anything you need to change but thanks!

That FGT is beyond awesome, I can't begin to imagine how much work that must have been!

It's been a while since I did any painting, but after the V8 season finale last night I decided to do a VIP skin to honour Van Gisbergen's win. Chose the MX-5 because A: It's easy and B: I don't have a good MX-5 scheme. Turned out alright considering I'm out of practice.

I've had these paints for a while now but didn't really want to share them here because my skills are so basic
And with the quality in this thread, makes me a bit embarrassed about what I can do :embarrassed:
But taught myself how to use gimp and put together these based off the first ever picture I saw of the Toyota F1 car (I'll post the inspiration but I couldn't do the fancy paint brush effect paint they actually used)
