I respect that, but still better than GT6...
Are people aware than GT6 is on the PS3 which just so happens to be 8+yrs old, or we just going to ignore that for every comparison. Why do you think SMS cancelled Project Cars on the PS3/360, it's direct competition for comparison. Either way I wasn't pleased by the game and returned it after two days.

I think PD and SMS should have a meeting.

PD - Ok guys, online, replays, and UI works like this....
SMS- look what we have done with AI, physics (tuning and telemetry included), and FFB...

It would be perfet for everyone...

They need to get T10 into that discussion as well.

PD has a few online features that are missing from Forza but Forza could teach them both a lot about online.

As quoted, carry on with GT6........ end of.

We're all fully aware of that. Many of us are fully aware of the GT series refusing to depart from the ways of old on issues that have absolutely nothing to do with the hardware but everything to do with Polyphony's design/game choices.

We're not comparing polygon counts, cars on track, or graphical fidelity.

In my opinion it depends on who's playing the game. If you really enjoy looking at a crazy amount of cars offered in the game, then the GT series is for you. If taking a lot of in-depth pictures sinks your sub, then the GT series is for you. If you consider yourself a "car guy" then the GT series would probably be your favorite.
PCARS is intended more for racing fans who what the motorsport experience. PCARS doesn't have over 1200 vehicles, it has a good selection of extremely well realized race cars that all have their spot currently in motorsports or had a spot in motorsports; these hand-full of cars all feel different on the track, each with there own nuances and characters. I personally greatly enjoy the driving of PCARS (I can't comment on playing PCARS with a controller, since I play it with a wheel and I believe that is how the game was intended to be experienced) more than I ever did in GT. With the focus on motorsports it only adds to my enjoyment of Project CARS.

That's fair, not everyone is going to pCARS. But what are you doing commenting here then? I don't go over to the GT forums and complain about that game... I have no reason to read the posts in the GT forums.

Both games are great if you can forgive there shortcomings. As much as I really like Project cars I feel if either Turn 10 or Pd released a game this buggy they would have been slaughterd in reviews.Project cars can be a great game it just needs alot of patching.I mean I had a bac mono drive right through me on brands hatch.

GT6 got a 9/10 off Eurogamer and that had probems.

To be fair most Project cars reviews I've read haven't mentioned the bugs enough. I think a re-review should be done after a few months out in the wild.

Halo master chief collection had some great reviews but the game suffered online issues for ages after release. Some sites re evaluated it after.

I mean they dive bomb all the time, going for gaps that aren't there. And there speeds are very inconsistent.
Maybe partially true, but if you compare to GT6 (and this is the topic for that), they are way better, GT6's almost unexistable.
PCars AI may (attempt to) dive bomb (though I had that happen only 2 or 3 times), but that happens irl also.
Inconsistent speeds ??

I think sites should at least update there reviews as there are quite a lot of bugs in the game.I can see why reviewers scored it high because it can be awesome but I feel there are just too many glitches and bugs to ignore.

That's completely irrelevant to the AI, though. When I had Gt5, I never updated it, and fortunately was able to continue playing by standing starts. The AI was actually half decent in a game that was a couple of years older than its younger
brother. I was challenged in some of the races.

In GT6, there is no AI. Just moving blocks that seems scared to go within 5 metres of your car.

Same goes to Grid Autosport. That was a PS3 game but had quite a challenging Ai that kept you on your toes.

You can't use that excuse that the PlayStation 3 didn't allow scope for a good AI, it makes no sense, and people seem to use it everytime something on Pcars is found to be better.

Go do a formula race with the AI on 100 with full damage, usually doesn't end well. Well at least from what I've experienced...
I have and I don't recall anything that was utterly shocking and certainly not in line with the apocalyptic vision of AI you laid out.

Is the AI perfect? No, but as a comparison to GT it is at the very least capable of racing with you and providing a challenge that extends beyond mobile road blocks.

And GT6 is so much better that your here having a pop at P Cars rather than playing GT6.......

I agree, although it seems to be a common problem. The same could be said of reviews for GT5, Shift 2 and F1 2010, three games that were horrifically buggy at release.

I suspect that because of the way the games journalism industry works, the reviewers are somewhat hesitant to bite the hand that feeds them by saying "Really great game, but has some damn near showstopper bugs if you're playing with a pad on console, maybe give it a month or two and see if they patch it before you buy. If you must get it now, get it on PC."

It's a shame, because I think everyone including the developers would rather people wait a little and buy the game when it's going to be a good experience for them, than have people buy early and be turned off the game (and possibly the series) for life.

It seems like many GT fans are so bored of GT6 now, they're appearing on the pCARS forum more frequent as members here type. Happens on the Forza board as well, it's natural since I was one of those 'folk' who'll always go on said board and always try to have a go on a title in order to make my title (I used to defend) look good despite its flaws. This is what happens when a developer ignores his or her fans for too long, so some will just start going to other boards and type deluded beliefs that said game is better than the other one, especially if that game becomes stale.

I don't know how to properly explain it, but it happens when a person fears at admitting another game is better than theirs.

Been there, done that. Sorry pCARS fans, it'll be for awhile until the next GT game comes out. But then that one will bore some of them and we're back to square one again. Outside this is worse though.
