Is the tyre model work in progress?

Hi Kaz,

I appreciate there is no standard for what "soft", "medium" and "hard" actually mean other than relatively and also different driving styles also affect durability. Having raced for 80 minutes around Mount Panorama in a GT300 Subaru BRZ on Racing Mediums, I expectedly ran out of fuel but had barely touched the wear on the tyres (8/10 was the tyre conditions at this point). I feel they are far too durable.

Are the tyres being investigated and developed for a new update?

80 minutes on the same set of tires and one tank of gas?

Indeed. Ran out of fuel on lap 35 and hardly touched the tyres. I admit Bathurst isn't my strongest track. I was preparing to do a 90 minute race and was pushing the fuel and tyres to try to structure a strategy.

Is tire wear and fuel consumption seriously accelerated in the S class events or something?

Sounds like a glitch to me, even for a relatively low-powered race car like a GT300 the front tyres at least should start to suffer after around five laps, particularly on a tight twisty circuit like Mount Panorama. And besides, you wouldn't exactly be the first person to suffer a glitch there.
