Is there any one else not going to get gt6

i like my avatar. i unfortunately live in a country where you supposedly have freedom of speech. but as soon as the righteous come alomg, you lose that right

There is a difference between freedom of speech and what your avatar represented. The "N" word is politically incorrect in case you weren't aware, not to mention its just downright disrespectful. Also, I don't consider myself righteous as I am just someone who has morals and respect for all races of people.

Don't worry about it, seems like the forum agreed that his avatar and attitude had to go hence the change to no avatar.

Yes, I know as I am the one that reported it. I was just stating my opinion and how I feel on the matter, that's all.

I understand, I too agreed with it as you saw but let's just get back to topic and hope no more issues arise from that one.

Agreed. 👍

I already have GT6 pre-ordered so there is no turning back now. The GT series is the only games that I will buy on release day and don't mind paying full price for.

I wouldn't make it sound that mystic, I just tried to explain the whole point, yes, with my ugly broken english...
It's cool - and your English isn't bad, rest assured.
...I already know enough about GT 6 to know there is more right than wrong.
Same here. I only added that spiel for the OP as he didn't seem sure. Like yourself, I know enough about GT to translate what I see into practical observations. It looks more than good so I pre-ordered a while ago

I guess it depends on how much I like playing Forza 5. It may be difficult going back to the previous generation.

I don't have a PS3 (I have a PS2 and 360), but I was originally considering picking up a PS4 for Gran Turismo, until I heard it GT6 was going to be a PS3 title. So, I'm mainly playing PC racing sims now and trying to hold out for GT6.4 or GT7 on PS4.

GT6 is tempting though, since I skipped GT5. GT6 sounds like it'll be what GT5 should've been. If the reviews are good, I may not be able to resist a PS3 GT6 bundle. I'm just worried that they'll announce a PS4 version of GT right after I buy a brand new old console for it.

With PS4 out and coming out in UK, now is the time to pick up a used ps3!

I will not get myself GT6. The reason is simple, why get a game i already have? Gt6 is almost identical to Gt5! And the new features they announced for gt6 is so disapointing that i can not belive that they made so little inprovements! Everyone want this and that etc and PD give us a nicer sky to look at while racing? Priorities what? I give up my hope on PD.

GT 5 was the last game I ever buy brand new, it was that disappointing that I vowed never again to buy a brand new title. I then studied how quickly games drop in price and then it became a no brainer to buy games well after release from here on out.

I am excited for GT6 but honestly I've got tons and tons more hours to get out of GT5 with hot lapping being my main focus, bringing my cars to the 'ring, TGTT and SS R7 is my thing. I've played very little GT5 in the last two years so I have plenty of catching up to do still. By the time I have finished with GT5, GT6 will probably be less then ten pounds which suits me fine. The most exciting feature for me is the track maker thingy, but as that will be not be available straight away I don't really see what the point is getting it any time soon. I will be getting a superior product by exercising some discipline and not buying it for quite a while, for me it's a no brainer situation.

With that being said it's nice to see the countdown thread, it reminds me of my excitement for GT5 a few years back, but honestly I am not even 1/10th excited as I was for GT5. If PD get GT7 moving fairly quickly with updates and whatnot there is a fair chance I may not buy GT6 at all, which is crazy because I am such a GT nut.

If you played Forza 4, you'll be back :( as much as I wish F5 was good, it has no substance and is less than a GT prolog was to a full GT.
Thanks but I'll reserve judgment until I've actually played the game in question.

It amazes me how many people register to a board like this to hate on something. Pros and cons, cool, but cons, cons, cons...it's time to find a new hobby.
Are you referring to us or the people who make the games?

For me it all depends on the reviews, and the actual features that are in the final game. I will not buy it on day 1, but may get it in the first week if the signs are positive enough.

'Cloud formations' are not a selling point for me at this stage, neither are stars.

The features that would have me running out to the shops, and also consequently not buying the game at all if missing are:
- improved AI (I am not talking about "Am I racing a human??" AI, but improved over GT5)
- grid starts (where you can jump the start)
- formation lap (not vital, but easy and a nice to have for the realism factor)
- proper lights at race start rather that the 'ultra realistic' 3-2-1-GO!
- A chequered flag
- practice/qualifying
- more control over on-screen display (e.g. option to just have gear and revs on screen (and remove all those annoying 'blip' sounds))
- no chase the rabbit challenges
- dramatically improved night racing

I haven't seen any of the latest videos, but I assume blue/yellow/black/black-orange/red flags are out of the question?

I have whinged, moaned and cried enough on these forums, but this is my deal breaker/maker answer to whether I will actually buy this game.

And I do not believe the above list to be difficult to implement (bar the night racing)

I think you'll find a lot of people joined pre-GT5, ie. in the golden age. I doubt many joined simply to hate on GT, but there's certainly a substantial group of people who are disappointed in GT since GT4.

Indeed, I am still playing GT4, besides graphics, sounds and gameplay are just better.

My PS4 will be here then but i really want to get GT6. Only £35 at GreenManGaming which is a bargain for this brilliant series.

It seems I won't be getting GT6 on launch day, GameStop still hasn't replied to an e-mail I sent them asking if I could change to in-store pick up.

Looks like it will be the Wednesday after when I get.
