dang! he completed cape ring twice! and the jump at the end of the loop was insane! he was sideways midair in prep for the right hand turn below the jump!

Those videos are crazy. I need to translate the page, but I wonder if it says what wheel he is using. Didn't see neutral so I guess it is probably one of those other logitech wheels. Must be fun to be that good. lmao

Good to know hes using a DFGT, I plan on getting one and wasnt sure if it would be decent for drifting. Now I know ;)

The car is overpowered ! you really dont need that much power to have a full lap drift like that , he's using the handbrake more that he is using the throttle :D
Not saying that he is not skilled ... but he's really not "WOW" ;) ... cant wait to post my videos ! (got a slow internet connection)

Really... I don't believe you :) it just shows his skill more using an over powered car seeing as it never twitched on him once, amazing car control.

i see a car that a driver can hide his mistakes with very easily since it quickly goes back to a drifting position after a near halt ... ( see the first U turn where the car was almost stopping but then quickly goes back to drifting ... No drifting Line just power ;) )

the_kingb don't want to sound out of place but man that takes a lot skills to control a car like that. That car is really powerful and if you gas it too much well you know you will spin like there's no tomorrow. Now if you want to prove us wrong, please show us a video of you doing it then until then, I stand behind this guys, that is freaking amazing what this guy can do, with a viper?? Wow.

Cool story bro where's your video ?

Do the same with a stock Volvo 240 and everyone will call you the king!
Untill then I still say that this japanese dude is awesome! And check more of his videos instead of just raging on that one!

Dude. You really should have waited until you got that internet connection sorted so you could of posted that video of you up, instead of jumping the gun and hanging yourself out there like that. I'd like to believe you, but without a video you're just another wannabe. Nothing personal.

I'm with you on this one :) But then again, I do have a thing for drifting underpowered cars.

I'd much rather see a car with half the horsepower of that Viper do the same thing, even if it meant straightening out a little or manji'd a little more.

The only technique this guy uses is powering-over and his handbrake. A lot of handbrake, especially into Cape Inside Turn 1! And yeah, having all that power makes things a lot easier. He doesn't use it all the time, in fact he hardly uses any of it really, but when he bogs down it pulls him out with ease.

I guess this just isn't my thing. I just prefer manji'ing hachis to 800hp D1 cars :)

i'm seeing alot of hating on this stunning performance of drifting........power indeed makes it easier to hold a longer drift, but it does not mean this performance driving is any less skilled than a lower powered car drifting. One thing atleast i am quite positive that nothing less than 700hp will be able to complete the entire looping bridge without straigthening out. Also holding that lengthy feint on the front straight around pit area is not as easy you one might think.

the key to this driver's performance is he did not once straighten out except for the straight on the big jump.

You're mistaking having a preference for 'hating'. I never said that I hated what he did, I just said I'd prefer it if it was in a 500bhp car, which doesn't give you the cushion of the 200bhp+ that the Viper has. For example, he'd having to really think about where the weight was shifted whilst going round the tight hairpin in a less powerful car, but in the video he just pulls the handbrake til it's facing the right way and does a big burnout into the next turn. Still impressive he links it up though mind :)

if you are talking about the link into the hairpin where the front straight is (basically the first corner of the course) that hairpin is not possible to be linked without dragging the handbrake or anything with only 500hp

edit: i didn't explain it properly enough, that first hairpin can't be linked all the way from last corner with just ONE highspeed manji using any car under 600hp. in the end.....highspeed manjis require much more precise weight transfering than multiple slower manjis for cars that are not able to carry out high speed manjis.

so far.....from all the cape ring north drift replays i saw, this is the only dude who does that link with only one manji and no straightening out.....it is not as easy to achieve as one thinks

Edit: I'd written a big reply but I think we're just gonna have to drop it :) I'd like more manji'ing with less power, you'd like less manji'ing with more power. One thing I'd like to get straight though is that nowhere have I said what he did is easy.
