GT6 is my first go around in the world of car racing games/sims. I've never played another version of GT nor have I tried Forza, iRacing, or any of the others. This is it for me. I've been very impressed so far. Sure, I'm disappointed in quite a few things, just like the rest of you, but I have been satisfied with the updates thus far. I think it's impractical to expect an update every week. I know many of you are thinking that we shouldn't have to wait for an update to incorporate features that should have been functional when the game shipped and I agree with you, but we are where we are. Instead of just abandoning the implementation of these features, we have to wait for them, but at least we know they're coming. Frankly, I'm thrilled to know that more tracks are coming. Tracks keep the game "new" in a sense. Instead of giving us the 30th version of a GT-R that only differs from the 29th version by a white stripe painted down the hood, I'd much rather have a new track to play over and over again.

Features, better AI, standing starts; things that make the racing realistic, that's what I want to see. I don't want more cars, there's already 1200 of them, and I'm not mad about new tracks. Bug fixes I'd expect to gradually come together but I don't mind them that much as long as it doesn't damage the game or ps3.

As much as I like the VGTs and want more, I don't think PD has control over their release - I'm pretty sure the manufacturers have power over them for quality checks and launch dates.
This is becoming one of the few things I can still defend PD with...

What if PD has stopped putting effort in GT6? How long it would take to realise that the ultra hyped next update is not coming? VGT cars - non. Track editor - You wish. Would someone be over optimistic lets say in July? "I know they said the update comes in February. Still I bet my sweet ass that the next tuesday is the day".
PS: I know PD won´t abandon GT6. I was just speculating.

Calm down people, PD won't abandon GT6 for a while yet, worst I expect is they'll be as slow as usual. I'm pretty sure a multi-million $ business is aware of the potential losses, and they will want to make money on DLC, as do most gaming companies.

If I were to take a guess at what might have caused them to fall behind with game updates...
It's the hacking. Every time that pops up, they have to stop their work and find a way to shut that stuff out, and since it's most likely the same guys who have to code the updates to the game, it means the actual game/content updates can't be worked on.

I'm almost on my limit. Not happy at all with GT6 and the lack of updates and dlc.
What about a massive Twitter 'unhappy hour' to Kaz that we are losing our patience ?
To be honest. It's also the lack of news about GT6. Vision GT, events or notifications. Just to understand that they are busy with gt6. Give us some evidence PD that you are still focused on gt6 ! Now I've the full awareness that they are aiming on GT7 (prologue) for PS4 and pushing gt6 in corners they will never look back to it.

PD seems to be working on a big update or on a major fix for something. This is the only way I see why the lack of updates and news for some weeks. It's sad that PD/Kaz/Sony were quoted saying there would be DLC every month and bringing no tracks yet. Maybe the new track will be there within the next two days, but better not wait for it.
I won't play GT6 anymore until there are new community/online features or a new track. There are so many things announced to come, but nothing to be seen on the horizon: GT app, Apex II Guide app, online/community features, track editor, add. photo locations etc.

Again, communicating with PD is absolutely pointless. Even if they reply... hell, even if they read what we have to say, they're gonna at best tell us something along the lines of "we're working on it

An inside source has told me that if there will be a February update it will be in the coming 2 days.

Of which time zone? Cause it'll be March 2nd in Australia when it's 11:59 pm in Hawaii
Sorry guys as you can understand I can't give away my source, as for which timezone let's just say if it's February somewhere it's a February update

That is how i see ps3 version of gt, holding back ps4 version and im just angry. And if gameprice is a sign it means no profit as planned.
So as i have said the above some times now i am also glad it is like this since they took the ps3 offroad. This means the ps4 version will come sooner than later, i see it more as PD finally got order from investors (Sony) to let go gt6 and put all focus on GT7. Especially since ps4 sells really well. So even if you get angry i will still say this...Hope updates dont come as
planned at all for GT6. Of course i speculate and i count on that the scenario might be true if you think about it.

In the meantime, I redo the career mode for the 4th time I play online with friends, I play other games, I do kart, I watch / read The Walking Dead, etc.. I did not panic, updates come when they are ready.

If you think about it. If they completely abandoned gt6. When they would be trying to showcase gt7 and say how new and awsome it is on ps4. 60% of gt6 buyers would right away think of not buying it. This would cause PD company suicide. And if i can come up with that scenario about what would happen, trust me sony and PD know it would also.
We will get everything we are promised. All in due time, very long due time...
Im waiting till may 20th for some real work to be started on this game and make it truly finished 100% (engines sounds and all)
Hopefully to be done by july. August at the latest. I know for some thats way too long to wait for a few things that should have been in the game on day 1. But i went through this with gt5. Over and over again. So this time im accepting its how PD runs things and they are happy with it. I cant bring myself to keep getting excited for new content on another gt title....
