No problem. Tom. I'll get everything sorted out when I get off work tonight. Good luck guys, hope your race is as fun as ours was.

Joe you'll get pole points and points for 6th place, gutted for you mate.

Was a good fun race overall though, 2 cautions and abit of confusion surrounding the pits but hey ho. Points tables up tomorrow, results tonight, and thanks LV 👍

Started off in 2nd place on the grid, Joe broke off from the pack immediatley with me in tow and it stayed like this with me trying to get into a rythym until the first caution. Pitted alongside Joe changing from Hard to softs and put a dash of fuel in. Came out in 3rd but at the back of the pack for the restart. After Joe's disconnection I picked up some damage on the wall of the second to last corner and had to pit again, leaving me with a 40 second gap between the leader Knelly. But he had to pit with engine damage leaving me to take the lead which I held from the 18th to 33rd lap. The last two laps after the final caution were pretty intense, Knelly was on my tail, one mistake and he'd have been past for the chequered flag. But for once I actually managed to hold up under pressure and take the win :sly:

Great racing guys, I have no doubt the numbers will improve next week as we head to Indianapolis!

EDIT: UK results on the OP, US and points tables to come 👍

Sounds like there is some good racing going on even with small fields. Can't wait for a full field. Spread the word. IndyCar is the place to be for elite racing in GT5

Just switched from wireless to wired PS3 connection literally ten minutes ago. Jumped from 1.6mbps to 9mbps at NAT2, this should be good for racing 👍

EDIT: I'll be on in half an hour Knelly.
Wireless is VERY POOR for gaming. I remember Dale Earnhardt Jr mentioning this when asked why he didnt race online in i racing during the Nascar season.

Definitely agree Rich, my connection was always hit and miss before now.

And thanks for the results LV, will post them along with results tables later. It definitely is and you'll have a bigger grid next week for sure, which will be great for Indy 👍

Dispite having a poor setup and struggling to find grip, i really enjoyed the race. started at the back after a1.40.xxx. about 20 seconds off pole. gradually got used to the car and just tried to keep it away from the walls. made a mistake on last corner and spun into middle of track. tried to stay still as knelly passed but he must have just cliped me. this brought out the safety. car for the first caution. Tgat was pretty much the race for me, the rest was making sure i was out of the way as the leaders came through. dont know how i ended up 3rd. but was happy with only being 2 or 3 laps down at the end.

I wanted to ask because it came as a bit of a surprise to me when I went in to race on Tuesday. I have very limited time to practice and don't have a lot (well none) of experience with these cars so it was hard to race with no aids on except ABS.

Normally I don't use any aids except sometimes I use the driving lines to help only with the braking zone if I don't know the course very well.

Can we please clarify what aids we can use as I probably would have also used 1 click of TCS at Madrid.

Thanks guys and I look forward to a full linup next week.

Also I forgot to congratulate LV for his win and also my teammate Ronin for his 2nd with damage and Niop for 3rd. Great job guys.

You can use all aids apart from skid recovery, which should be disabled in the lobby. You can go faster without the aids than with them (except ABS), so they are allowed.

Looks like Team Penske should be top of the Constructors. Nice work Niop and Joe 👍

Yes you are Knelly, leading team Lotus by 2 points. US results are up and tables coming in the next 20 minutes 👍

EDIT: Tables are up gents, they're slightly over sized but it's better than nothing :sly:

Yep, we're at Indy, you're at Laguna :sly:

As I said though you're more than welcome to join in mate, as is everybody in the US series.

Whoever set up the race regulations at Madrid had all aids off. And not everyone can do their personal best times with the aids turned off.

True. To be more specific, someone who has perfected their driving with an aid on (let's say traction control), will be slower than if they'd perfected their driving without the aid on. If the car is easier for someone to control with an aid on than with it off, they'll probably be faster with it on.

I also forgot that the allowed driving aids are different for the UK and US series, so having all aids off was correct for the US race at Madrid.

I agree Les, I find driving with the DS3 quite tricky so I use some aids. I'm going to work on my car control when I get my DFGT. Will tell LV to set up the room right in future 👍

EDIT: For next week's Indy race I'm thinking of changing the extra 5 silent laps to 1 or 2. This is in no disrespect to Dan, just the fact that 6 laps at pace speed will take about 10 minutes. Thoughts?

I didn't know the aids were different. I just scanned the OP and didn't find that listed.

The new upgrade reduced the amount of traction control for TC = 1 and you can spin the tires on curves in 1st and 2nd gear in these cars. I also find TC=1 helpful if I get bumped in a curve in 3rd or 4th gear. A bump from the rear while accelerating and TC off can cause the wheels to spin and make the car go around.

I remember LV talking about it when we were discussing aids a while ago. I think it's somewhere in the original thread under "interest checks".

I ran a search and didn't find it. Search found your "interest checks" but no other.

On a completely off topic note. I discovered that the Caterham Fireblade 7 now has cockpit view. Ran a few laps at Spa. Really Cool! I ran the car stock. It requires quite a bit of skill. If no one else starts a Formula Ford style race with these I may give it a go.

Just read our "interest checks" thread, and LV originally wanted both series to have no aids at all (even ABS), though this was changed so that we'd have more people sign up.

Ok. It must be somewhere in those 22 pages of posts.
One standard would be best I believe.

I've got 10 minutes...
