Well that's weird. It works on my end.

Change the final gear to 2.800 for Suzuka. That's the only difference between them anyway.

490PP, 520PP and 550PP entries. :)

Please check if Set B on the GT86 gives you the Suzuka final gear. If it doesn't, you'll have to manually change it to 2.800, cheers!

I would do 200 miles. It has been said a few hundred times on these forums that 185 miles is fully broken in, but my GT86 didn't follow that rule.

Did you take it for some speed tests at Route X by any chance? The engine doesn't break in from miles gained there.

No speed tests. It read 188 miles when I put it on share and people told me that it was still gaining power. Must be the obnoxiously bright green paint. I have always said that my green paint was worth an extra half second a lap.

And that's precisely why my entry is painted in Tommi Makinen red and white ... defo worth half a second :mischievous:

Made good progress on my 490PP entry, which may be the only one I enter. Still need to fix the understeer that's killing me at Tsukuba. Consistently in the mid to low 2 second range and barely breaking into 1 sec here and there. I may see if this one will go all three levels and just tweak it. :P And then get my yellow on it for the extra second per sector. :D

Can tuners be testers? I'm interested in the 550PP category.

It's normally 186 miles, 300 km.

My GT86 also was not fully broken in at 187.7 miles, it's the only car I've ever seen this happen with. It is fully broken in by 200 miles though.👍

Hi everyone.

So college has kept this snake rather busy. But, I've chosen my 3 rides. 2 out of the 3 are Lan Evo's and the third is a discontinued, celebrated japanese classic.

Testing without tire wear lets me be a bit more aggressive with my suspension settings.

I've been running consistent 1:01's with my 520PP entry @tsukuba with stock gears.

Only the current settings come through when you share a car. So a the sharee will have the same settings in sheets A, B and C. I've been caught out by it too in the past.

Thanks for posting your 550pp tune, makes it easier for the testers to get them early and spread out the testing.

RE: Tuning Sheets. Interesting, that explains a few things. I also note that gear settings carry over when you copy them now, I'm sure they never used to. Perhaps they've borked the tuning sheets whilst on share now instead.

I've got a free evening tonight for one last shake down of my entry, then I'll post 👍

48 hours then I'm posting mine..............:scared:

Ah, I see. Didn't know that. :ouch: Luckily it's only my GT86 that needs the adjustment between tracks. The Impreza and NSX have the torque to make use of longer gears at Tsukuba.

I'll get mine up today, to give testers an early opportunity, plus it's close enough to deadline for me to be confident that my entry will be one of a kind :sly:

Wonder if we can emulate the 'Ring Shootout and end up 0.3sec apart, after 100 miles of hard racing :mischievous:

I still need to start on refining my 520PP car, I only raised the ride height a tad and added power, he gearbox hasn't even been touched yet and we're so close to the deadline.

Hopefully, I can join you two this time. :D

I suspect that the differences in times for all competitors at Tsukuba will be as fine as the 'Ring Shootout was for Herman and I, but I expect the differences at Suzuka to a fair bit wider...

Testing my 550 entry at Tsukuba and it felt really fast the first tune I applied to it. Thought I was done, but with every adjustment it just keeps getting faster.

My 490pp entry is at 353miles (568km) and counting and its still gaining power! :odd: This is after additional laps at the test track and two oil changes!:dunce:

My 520pp wagon entry is just about ready for competition. Should be good competition with such a diverse group of automobiles.👍

So, my 550PP entry is tuning consistent 58:5xx @tsukuba and under 2:14 @suzuka with the same gearbox.

Maybe it can be even faster in the hands of other skilled drivers.

After testing and tuning for the last couple weeks I've come to the conclusion that the winners will be decided on Suzuka as I doubt there will be a large enough time gap on Tsukuba to have much if any effect on the standings.

The length of Suzuka and speeds that can be attained there should create some significant time gaps between cars while at a guess most cars on Tsukuba will be within a second or two at the most...
