Seriously though, my Evo was more than a second slower around Tsukuba than the WRX I'm using now. I thought it was weird too. :P

(Well it should at least keep pace with it on Tsukuba since my best time with it there is a 1:02.023 and we all know how the Wallbanger drives.:drool:)
 
ok got a small prob motorcity your gtr cant be shared because its a dlc car, so unless the tuners want to build one of their own might want to rethink using another car >< i just noticed it was the black eddition.

ok sent a msg to all testers in the 550pp range to see if they are willing/able to build motorcity's gtr to test since it cant be shared. if they cant build it i am going to ask you motor to build another car.

I had the same problem during the "Tons of Fun" shootout :grumpy:. You may just need to transfer the settings. (I will never understand why you can put a car on share, but then no one can use it :mad: )

Yup I'll be joining this..Don't have enough time to gloss over everything so I'll be back later with a post with my car information and PP and the like. I'll be tuning of course :)
 
Nothing of the sort. I just know it to be thoroughly impossible... By about 1.5-2 seconds. At Tsukuba.

try .5 seconds max...... depending on driver of course..... I managed to get an R34 within that range, and an R33 within .3 seconds, and that is standard cars too not premium.

Got my car for the 490PP range, It's packing a sweet 2.84 kg/HP
Edit: Seems a bit too much power, a bit too little control..Going to find another car.

TBH if it were any less tight of tracks, the LFA would run away with this. Thing is bloody screaming fast. Like, psychotically. :crazy:

I would've ran my LFA as well, but it's tuned to 580PP. With all parts removed, it drops to 566PP... And detuning engine is against against my religion :crazy:

Oh? That's funny because myself and a friend used to run a 535PP/sports soft series.

R32-4s were 58 second cars with some potential to hit 57s (particularly the R34) with a good tune. Without one they were, well, slow.

My full weight SpecV that I built to keep R35s out (ECU, drivetrain mods but stock diffs, stock gearbox, custom suspension) did low 56s all day without having to try nearly as hard as it took to get 57.8s out of an R34. Hell, the stock '07 GT-R with sports softs added was into the 57s out of the box.

Maybe with race tires this changes a bit but I doubt it. My best guess at what my pink slowboat's settings were resulted in a 55.7 at Tsukuba with Roj driving after probably 5 laps at most... 550hp, 1680kg, 550PP. Better driving would see it sail past the (presumably) next fastest car here, CSLACR's LFA... Worse driving on the part of whoever's in the LFA would have the same result.

The reason I don't like R35s is because they're too easy to everything. If this was purely a "feel" based shootout or even close, I'd have no problem letting them in... But with the main rankings being based purely on lap time... Well... Considering I've watched my best efforts at making a "good" car for a class similar to the regs here get destroyed by myself driving a nearly stock, 30-second tuned R35 at every track aside from High Speed Ring reverse... Well... Yeah.

Hmm. As long as you don't pull out another R35 (and nobody else does either) I won't be entering mine and will instead be sticking to my original plan.

doesnt matter, as long as all cars you test are all tested the same way. or well.. do you mean test in a lobby? or just in practice, or do you mean with your ps3 connected to the internet period?
 
I put my three entries on share and should have them posted in the next
24hrs. I haven't had time to finish them lately and my 550 entry may get a few tweaks before I release it but the other two are finished if testers want an early start.

Ok Motorcity your going to have to do a different tune for the 550pp because some of the testers dont have the car pack with the gt-r black edition do even do a rebuild.

though you have proably already come to this conclusion

Sorry your op didn't say weatther easier or not, I do agree thoguh GT-R 35 is far easier to achieve quick times with compared to tuned versions of the other GT-Rs.

The others simply can't match it. The NSX and Evora are, at 535PP, the closest to it on tighter tracks but they're by far more difficult to drive.

550PP lets it actually have power. Broken car is broken unless we're racing HSR and such. :lol:

Meant as in Practice mode or Lobby mode since the times will vary.

Sorry to be painful, but I think this matters HEAPS. So much is different online and offline, a tune that works in one could suck in the other. We need to pick one, we can't mix and match. I vote for offline, since shared cars can't be used online (not to mention physics inconsistencies online)

I was under the impression that all testing would be offline, based on fact that certain tunes may need exact engine wear etc, and as such testers should be borrowing the car not building it where possible.

This. I think we've all tuned for offline anyway so it's a no-brainer.
