Though how I'm going to do that kind of lines with a blunt DS3 with no accuracy at all is beyond me.

Onboy - spend $12 and get a set of these. Way smoothed out my driving. I am just as fast with the DS3 as I am with the wheel with most cars.

The perfect line by the master. Braking spot is just a few later for ´89 F1. For GT5 road cars ,points like the tarmac strip before spoon or the distance indicator panels are very easy to identify, but driving line and throtle control are very close.

Thanks Mr Senna.👍

I miss watching him ... he was the only true great one ...
I love watching these old movies / films .

Driven to perfection , always missed but never forgotten

Thanks Praiano for sharing this moment again 👍

Take care to not shift late..Peak HP is at 7000 RPM and drops off hugely after that.

Would have loved to spend a bit more time with the car but I'm running out of time..I may enter cars into the 520 and 550 ranges, if I can find and tune them in time.

Clickie for 490PP entry.

I see your Schwartz is as big as mine. Your tune is way different from mine though, which is good....presumably. I'm gonna give mine a good tweak tonight and call it done in the morning. I'll give yours a go when I'm done just for comparison. 👍

Are you sure your parts are right though? Pretty sure I had to add the Stage 3 turbo and an oil change to get mine to 489PP.

What's your mileage?
Or is it a new premium car?

His has an air filter and exhaust too, so that's probably why.

Edit: As far as testing goes, what's the usual proceedure? Taking the car straight into a 5 lap blitz or having a warm-up session to get a feel for the car first?

I normally just run each car untill I think I have the fastest lap I can achieve, some cars take more laps than others.

Ryan has stated that we can only do 5 laps though, obviously meaning 5 proper laps, so it sparked the thought in my mind.

Mazda RX-7 Spirit R '02

Just a heads up Csl this is not up on share

i take 2 laps around trial mount. to get a feel, then do 5 laps on each of the courses. jack your going to have to be more strick on your testing because then you are just pushing the car till you get the best lap, it could take you 1 lap or 20. So please when testing a car on the courses please do only 5.

Not to nitpick or anything but is that 5 green laps or 5 laps period, no restarts, no do-overs.:odd:

If its 5 laps period then some test drivers may end up with more than a few DNFs or else some extremely slow laps.

It has to be 5 green laps, or else no one is going to get a lap time from me at Suzuka otherwise.

Heres my three stooges for the Shootout.

ACSR - No aero settings?

I see there's a wing on the HSC, and the RX-7 stock wing is adjustable between 0-8, but no listing I can see for what the settings are...

The Evo's stock wing is adjustable too (0-5), I assume he's just left the Evo's and RX-7's downforce at the default values, perhaps because he didn't know they were adjustable. As for the HSC, he's put Aero = 8 at the bottom of the suspension section.

I guess I put the aero settings in a place thats hard to see in the build sheet. I'll see if I can move them to a more visible place but the RX-7 has 4 and the HSC has 8. I hated sticking that Aggie surf board rack on the HSC but it didn't quite make 550pp without it and it does help out the handling. It sure takes away from the looks of the car though:yuck:

I ran my "DMWG Phase III" at 539PP and set a 2:11.4xx time at Suzuka. Figured I'd tack the ironing board to the roof and bring the car up to 550PP see if I could get it to do a little better. Best I've managed since then is a 2:11.5xx mainly because the extra downforce doesn't want to let the car rotate freely. I'm getting better corner entry but mid corner is not so good. If I can't get it solved I'll be running the car at 539PP.

The wagon probably has enough stability and AWD traction without it. I look forward to trying it out soon.👍👍 The HSC has plenty of rotation and is a little tail happy without the wing. I tried it @Spa without it and the car got the highspeed swaps on me more than I cared for at times. So here in the shootout I think it helps this car. When I can spend more time with it after the shootout I'll get rid of the wing even if it means adding a few extra tenths to the lap times.:dopey:

So the Lexus IS-F... It has this nifty gearbox with 8 speeds, essentially a "cheater" transmission of sorts. Problem is, second gear is a bit too quick, what to do?

Drive the car 5,000 miles to allow for RPM adders, such as racing exhaust and a sports ECU, to raise the effective speed the car will reach in each gear. :P

Note: Unsure if car is fully broken in, may gain more HP, HP Below subject to change.
