no steffan has THE fastest time around nurburgring, its even on the nurgburgring website so its an official time.

I meant meant maybe Sabine Schmidts lap might might have been unofficial. but nevermind, it obviously isnt her!

I could name a couple...Dirk Schoysman and perhaps Walter Rohrl. She may have done a lot of laps, but seat time doesn't necessarily make her the best.

Thats true. But no one will know the track better than her, and its not the kind of track you can learn in 5 minutes. And knowing the exact braking point of every corner, every bump and dip takes some learning. I agree I dont think anyone could have got a Transit Van round faster.

Dirk Schoysman has done over 10,000 laps of the Nordschleife and competes in the 24 hour race. Walter Rohrl is Porsche's test driver and drives the Nordschleife a lot for development purposes.

Just because Top Gear says she's the most experienced and knows the track best doesn't mean it's true.

Also, I don't think it's anything about her being female, it's just that I honestly don't believe she's as good as Bellof, and I really think Schoysman at least has a better knowledge of the Nordschleife than her.

According to Sabine, he is 80% lacking in driving talent. She put down a 9'12" on her first try with the same diesel that jeremy put a 9'59" down with after two days. Made me laugh when she said that he thinks he's "michael schumacher from britain maybe? but I think he just....isn't."

Yeah okay, but Sabine's day job is driving folks around the 'Ring in an M5 (the Ring Taxi), and I've seen a tape of her doing a lap Regular 'Ringers are constantly amazed by her speed and control there, so it's not a very fair comparison.

I wasnt aware that Rohrl was still an active driver.

I dont take most things on Top Gear as gospel truth.

I was just joking their. Although I still think she has a better knowledge than most, she was brought up on the Nurburgring

It's the kind of thing you cant really prove or disprove. They have all done so many laps that they know the place better than they know themselves!

she is very very fast and confident in the way she drives on. but Belof wasnt just confident. he was crazy. he drove cars like we do in gt4... he drove with no concern for his life. :0

He passed anyone, anywhere. Nuvolari and Gilles Villeneuve are no comparison. He even tried to overtake at La Source at Spa.....
