thanks mavi and thanks to you too Tommi2000.

my very first CS2 comp entry...

The theme was 'Evil' so i added some blur effects and thought it made it look creepy. i'm not so happy with the color though..i think it's a bit too red. here's the original version of it, unedited. i also included the other shot that i was deciding one compared to the last one..

Positive Versus Negative Part II

Viper vs Elise shot is very interesting..! I like your evil entry too :)

The evil shot is great!
Plus i love the Viper and Elise one i love the smoke effect in it.👍

Very nice man! For some odd reason I like the 3rd shot a lot more than the first one. I really like the high contrast look and the red car looks awesome against the black background. Suave work man! I don't see why you put a sad face in the title.

I'm still preffering the 2nd S15. In the first one the photo filter without preserving luminosity, killed the headlights. About the PvsN is a nice idea, but we have to work more with filters wich are breaking the good looking of the originals.

thanks everyone!! and yes alex, we definitely need to work on those things...
i'm gonna do more exper's with cs2 tonight.

Looks good your recent update, but that battle shot is just fantastic. Really great sense of action!!!!
The "evil" shots are looking quite good, specially the 1st one, great capture mate. Good luck in the competition.

thanks guys! NTX, that action shot was one of the pics i was gonna use for the 2nd round of the competition for the photomode tournament, it's actually a different version of the other elise vs. viper pic. though unlike the other one, this + vs - version was edited with photoshop, which took so much longer coz i had no clue (i still dont) what i was doing.im glad you liked it and my silvia pic. i still have a lot of learning ahead of me with cs2. ah well, practice makes perfect... right here is a silly experiment with cs2 and F1 cars.
this one's inspired by the battle between fernando alonso and michael schumacher last year in suzuka, with this one specifically focusing on schumacher blowing his engine near the closing stages of the race. constructive criticism and tips for improvement are very welcome in this update. i know it's not the best, but i try :D

ps: i wish the primary objective was a red car.. :(

thanks guys!! i was inspired watching a video on realplayer hehehehe. i'll do more F1 updates someday.. for now, here's my entry for the Muscle Car theme of the Photomode Competition :D i've been having this thing of taking photos of muscle cars lately. the whole week i've actually suffered from some sort of 'block', so i didnt even feel like updating. i guess seeing the thread for the pmc comp about their theme inspired me a lot. i'll be posting a more cleaner and improved (if i manage to do so hehehe) of this photo, together with other photos of it. enjoy! :D

Beautiful work mate!! Classic look of a great classic car!! Good luck in the competition, with that shot, U have great chances to win!!

thanks NTX! i hope i do too :D would be nice to win one of those for sure.

here's the somewhat 'modified' version of the first pontiac photo

bonus shot

No, the objective should be a blue car :)... xDDDD.

I liked a lot the first GTO, but then I discovered a better pic! The B&W format increases the overal definition, and all highlights of the car overstands a lot in the shadowed area of the scene.

2nd GTO is nice, but not so like previous hehe. The noise hides a bit the flat look of GT4 renderings, but oh well, not always is the solution.

WOW! That GTO looks very nice! 👍 You really leaped ahead in qualitiy. The GP shot looks very impressive. I have to say that this is one of the most real shots I have seen by you. The elise vs viper is indeed interesting. Nice colours and very soft.

Great work jgda!

 i believe the blue car had a free ticket to the championship that day :D
i'm glad you liked the first one, the second one...well....yeah, i regret putting the noise filter on it. it sucked. it actually turned out really well without it. i dont know why i put the noise filter on it. oh well, gotta learn somehow :( thanks anyways!!

thanks freddy! i guess it's the photoshop making the leap in quality. but, the color on the Suzuka GP update is actually balanced with Gimp. i just couldn't bring out the effects on the back of that car with cs2's colors. i don't know why. about the elise vs. viper....i'm starting to hate it the more i see it, i dont know why. it's funny coming from me, thinking i spent a lot of time experimenting with the effects and what not. thanks for the kind comments!!

I like the first shot the most out of the two shots.

me too! :D thanks TVR! and thanks for Finallydoing the rain guide. i waited so long for them!! now i finally got to try them out!

so here it is folks, my first rain attempt. and what an appropriate location to do it with!

ps: i dont know if this pic actually depicts monsoon, but i just thought the title sounded cool, since when it rains in nurburgring, from what i've seen in F1 gp's, when it rains, it pours...so here it is, my very first rain effect update :)
enjoy!

Nordschleife Monsoon

here's the 2nd pic, this time actually catching up with the RS4 :D

Just thought i'd include a small pic of the original so you guys can see the difference.

Geez, that looks like the entire track's gonna be submersed in 4 secs...

I love the 1st one, very real, and the way you got the clouds looking is near perfect. 👍

The 2nd I don't like as much, although it's a good shot too, and it shows you really tried to include every detail of what a car running on those conditions would show. I think it has something to do with the brightening on the hood and the winshield, but can't get my finger on it.

Great update, nevertheless. :)

You got the perfect base to perform a credible rain. You used too much contrast for my taste, and added more saturation. Now we need a guide to create the water fron the wheels, and wet reflections over the tarmac hehe. Cool job 👍

I am looking into finding a way to make water look like it is coming off the wheels and wet relections. But I would say a good base for water relections in a wet shot is Tsukuba Wet.

Thanks for the feedback guys :)

Snyp: I already did that, but i'll try and drop by your gallery when i have time..

Wow that shot is really nice in that time of day, but it looks like the Sun is going down.

Very nice update bud, I am loving your sunset pic. Its beautiful. I wish u had a bigger version because I would put it as my desktop wallpaper.

thanks you guys!!

TVR&FF: I was aiming for that, i actually thought about making rainbow effects since this one followed the monsoon update, but i just couldn't be bothered :D

DLRGian: pm sent. just so you know i still have the original, so if you want i can send it to you :D just let me know
