Really nice tribute. Your Grandad would be proud. I am very sorry to hear about your loss hope you recover very soon from this current saga in your life.

Very nice update though.

I'm so sorry to hear the sad news concerning your grandfather mate. It's always difficult to lose a family member. I know how you feel. My grandmother died last week and still there is pain inside my heart. I know that you really put effort into this update thinking of your grandfather. I wish you and your family all the best in these hard days.

Cheers Fred

Really sorry to hear about you Grandad, I know how you and your family must feel. My family lost our Grandad and Nana within a few days of each other a few monthes ago. I send you and your family my best wishes. :)

The pictures are really nice, a lovely tribute. Great use of the rain and good lighting and colour. 👍

The aston, S-Type, 350Z and the rain shots are just wonderful J.

So sorry to hear about your granddad. I hope he likes your update as much as I do(or even more!)

Good luck, bro.

Ciao,
vince.

thanks for the support guys, though there's really no need to be sorry :)
i'm sure he's better off than being in pain and suffering if you guys know what i mean. the new update i have here is somewhat an appetizer for my much awaited VIP update that i'm gonna be presenting here. these are just simple shots really. not much to them. the hongkong scenery you are about to see i actually finished a few days before i left for my vacation. i just thought i'd save it for a rainy day, which we've been getting lately here in vancouver. enjoy guys.

can't decide which version i like more, so i just decided to post both of them.
version 1

version 2

Hong Kong

Cool shots Adrian, I like the first version better IMO. The soarer at GC looks real smooth too, keep up the good work man.

Nice work, I see you are back to your usual standard.
I love the Grand Canyon shot, very nice work on the car. Great lighting.
I like both versions, but I think I prefer the colours in the second. Great tone.
Nice colour on the Hong Kong shot, alll in all another fine update.
Keep it up. 👍

I'm not so keen on the larger closeup shot of the car, but the other two look very cool. However, your wide angle, aerial shots of various tracks seen recently look amazing! You've somehow managed to avoid the dodgy textures that GT4 leaves you with and get some truly stunning scenery shots going on and I always love to see them.

I'd love to see more of those around on these forums actually, they always look quite creative. I love the small touch of the car driving off the track up the side road in the first aerial Nurburgring shot too, it really adds a certain something to the photo. 👍

Sorry to hear about your loss though, but at least he will no longer be in any pain.

Sorry about your grandfather, J. Hang in there, buddy. :)👍

The 350Z S-tune looks great, if you had left the sky unblurred it would make it even better. The car looks very nice on that one, apart from the rims spinning a bit slower than they should.

On the tribute shots, I like them both, but the rain is a bit too harsh on the 1st shot.
Great angle on both, but the 2nd is by far the best, imo.
The rain is very well blended into the shot, the textures on the grass really stand out, and the strong colours add to the shot too, just beautiful. 👍

The Toyota Soarer shots, I prefer the 2nd, warmer version. The Grand Canyon shot shows in a beautiful way the rear of the car, I love the sun shining on the rear effect, and the glass also looks very good.

The HK shot has the rain a bit too harsh and you forgot to crop the top and bottom (rain effect start/stop noticeable), but otherwise a nice shot.

Welcome back, mate!

Well Jg, I like all Soarer shots!!! Each one is full of style!!!
The Hong Kong shot, damm, thats a real good shot!! Another realistic rain shot IMO, U are real good doing that:tup:
Once again, U bring quality to GTP!!!

thanks everyone. i'm surprised you guys somehow liked the grand canyon shot, as i'm not really very fond of it like the first too. for the HK scenery shot, i actually used some texture filter for the waters. glad u guys liked it. and now for my new update, which is my gt4 2.0 photomode comp week 64, together with the subaru legacy 2.0 update, which will have a few more waiting to be finished, and is now in the works. i cant get the thumbnails right, and imageshack's being an ass, so i just linked this new update to my deviant art account. hope you guys like it :D

They look great but could be better
I like the legacy having high contrast which looks very elegant, but the jaggies is killing it
the LM has good angle but the vanishing point is not very accurate

i know. my first time doing it too. but i agree with what you said about the legacy. both photos could be so much better. but thanks for visiting! :)

Looking pretty good my man. That legacy has got some hella shine on it, very nice. And the LM shot, even though the vanishing point is a bit off, looks amazing, very smooth cars, again, very nice work.👍

thanks LOON. yeah it's my first time using that vanishing point feature. still trying to get the hang of it. any tips anyone ? :D Now i know i've said i had a VIP update in the works, and i was supposed to use the subaru legacy for it.
but i dont have the knowledge, time and patience to pull it off. sorry i have to pull the plug on it. i have a prototype of one, but i dont think i wanna show it here. anyways here's the link for my new update. hope you guys like it.

Nice shot jdga! The reflections indeed look shiny on that car. Also the lensflare on the front light looks cool. The rims make this car a bit agressive.

👍

thanks for the kind words freddy. i wish i could see your entry too. somehow i can't see everyone's updates lately. anyways this new update i was gonna enter for the H2H comp, but i decided to go with the mercedes sauber's rear wing, just because i think it's a much cleaner shot. anyways here it is

guess i'm back to using photobucket again since imageshack wouldn't let me upload photos anymore even from their website. oh well. they're gay for all i care  they can kiss my pixeled rears ! :D

many thanks folks. i still can't see everyonelse's updates. please understand if i wasn't able to comment on your galleries. must be my browser being screwed up again or something. i'll make up for it when i fix the problem, this probably also means i wont be joining any comps for a while. thankgod for photobucket, atleast i'll be able to post my new updates still. speaking of which, here's a couple quick ones that i did yesterday, though the b&w one i actually spent some time with. maybe a good two hours ? i also have a colored version of it, but i prefer the b&w better. if anyone wants to see it, just let me know.

Your recent updates are impressive...as always:)
I specially like this last Legacy shot, full of style and quite simple looking IMO.
The 400R shots are also quite good, look at the B&W one?! WOW!!!
Keep up your good work Jg!!!

Cool shots of the nismo. Only thing I can complain about is the exhaust and surroundings in the 2nd. Bit too jaggie for my tastes.

Anyway the first one is really well done. 👍
