haven't seen much of this car in the photomode circuit lately, let alone be in red. i haven't done a red car in a long time, and the last one was a lexus as well, but a sc300(?). i have a whole set of this car, but after this one, i figure i'd rather save all the other pics for future occassions. red cars are such a pain! i already took them in mature color mode so the red doesn't stand out too much with the pixels and stuff. and it was still hard. anyways hope you guys like this one.
My red Lexus IS200.

on to the updates. i have my 2 new versions of my Grand Canyon photos, and some of my competition entries as well. i'm posting them as they were submitted in the comps, and if you guys wanna have a go at some of them in photoshop or gimp, then go right ahead.

My Main Update, The Second Instalment of my Grand Canyon Series - but this time away from the phototravel scene. This is my first time ever using the vanishing point filter and the perspective plain to use the brush tool and highlight the clouds in the skies. also my first time applying zoom blur to the skies in general. then i used a heavy gamma adjustment to even out the exposure to the foreground. After the skies were done, i used the lighting filter (atleast for the first one) to further balance the exposure
on the foreground so the skies don't look otherworldly so to speak, and then dodged the highlights on the mountains and cliffs.
hope you guys like the new update. i know the altezza was rubbish. well, atleast in my view it was. not very happy with that red thing at all.

Amazing. Very clean scenic shots. I love the detail of the mountains and the semi-HDR sky. Only think that draws me back is the zoom blur on the sky, otherwise, it is very good 👍

I quite like the Lexus Jg, the car is nicely cleaned and good use of blur and reflections. That distortion you mentioned is really weird...but does not hurt the overall look of the shot.
The Canyon update, I think its gorgeous. The zoom blur is a great touch IMO. Lovely colors too btw

i've reworked my past update, and wanted to show you guys an experiment i've done with what happens when you shoot with a tripod and it's sort of windy, and i was having another look at this photo as i rummage thru my gallery, and i thought i should and could amplify this photo a bit more. so i decided to play around with the clouds filter, color balance and motion blurs and this was what i came up with, mostly a combination of the stock layer and the blurred selection. still not a hundred percent, but i'm working on it. just something i've learned from 3d mag a long time ago. hopefully i can produce an entry for the tornado theme for the centennial 2.0 celebration. need to fullview to see the whole thing. might be blurry from the preview pic.

I can't believe you guys fell for that stupid april fool's joke oh that was good! sorry about the lack of updates lately. the last one i have to admit is not one of my best works, but i'm glad you guys liked my grand canyon update. it was a shame it wasn't allowed in last week's scenery comp. i was gonna enter it for this week 8 (?) but i figured i better come up with something else. and i did, it's about a few months old of a shot, that's been sitting in my hard drive for quite a while now. it's a combination of two frames, one from gt4 obviously, and the clouds from my real life photo, which can be found on this link i just modified the skies (oh did i ever!) to better fit the photo (i.e a lot of custom brushes, smudging and color balancing to name a few). a lot of channel mixer experiments went into this one, and gradient filters as well. anyways, enough with the yapping. hope you guys enjoy this one more than i enjoyed working on it.
