JP players really are the masters at drifting.

I wanted to chime in on a couple of points.

Pidgeon-holing goes both ways; I have certainly had good experiences in JP lobbies, but bad experiences can be had anywhere. It's not fun lapping (go figure) Suzuka East in a CH-and-NO-aids JP drifting lobby in a 340hp Sileighty and getting punted into the sand by a F430 Scuderia with racing exhaust every 20 seconds. I was the only standard car and the rest were Scuds, Spirit Rs, and NSX Rs. I swear that wasn't a rant.

As for FF drifting, I stick to the Taurus SHO. Great torque curve and wide-ish front tires allow it to be tossed around with eerie precision and it reeks of "rental car."

LOL Funny since my dad's neighbor has one of them lol

Which is when the host doesn't impose any limits. As soon as I see a Red Bull pass me in my lobbies, I immediately kick them. The car can not drift... at all. The idiots that drive them only try to set the best lap time (why?) or just ram people like you said.

The problem is that the hosts take X1...:nervous:

I love japanese drifting rooms. People there are so polite, when you go to a US drifting rooms you just see X1 ramming every body.

which is why I NEVER enter drift rooms that have no restrictions. It's just so disorganized. Aside from that, you end up doing tandems with people who use all sorts of tires, and it just ends up someone punting someone else.

Does he make the car go sideways like we do in GT5? XD

I absolutely hate that piece of crap. I have owned one in real life. Most craply made car. Mechanical failures followed by flawed safety features.

If i see someone drifting one I would probably turn into a complete you know what and ram the crap out of them.

So after joining a lobby today on Tsukuba Ct. Free Drift (no restrictions) a Jp player joined the room deciding he should be a jerk and start ramming people with the original S. Vettel Redbull. After everyone was using words (badwords) that I don't (nor want to) know the meaning of. He decided to start hitting everyone from behind seems like starting with me.. As I'm braking I get slammed into by a car est. doing about 250km/h... I look back seeing who's behind him (Avoiding jumping to conclusion) and there's a JP player PKing other cars.. I don't know if I should mention the name.. But I had to PM him to stop. Which he didn't reply.. But.. you know as my car was flying upward front first I started thinking... ("Why doesn't Gran Turismo 5 have an AUTOMATIC inactive kick feature?") Again I won't mention names but one particular person I notice is ALWAYS host and is ALWAYS away.. ALWAYS there's always a jerk.. Sad but true story.. TnT Well that's pretty much my adventure today.. How about you all?

So I should start drifting mine? Ok!

so you want a "kick idle players" feature? that's certainly useful, but that will be an issue if the room is a Fixed Host room. but yeah i get your point. GT5 DOES have a Call Reject Vote, but most of the time other people don't seem to care if one person is doing his best to 🤬 up everyone else.

But for some unexplained reason, people don't bother kicking the host that is AFK after some idiot parallel parks his car in the middle of Tsukuba. And the worst thing is, the car in the middle of the track is glitched out and when you try to push it out of the way, it snaps right back to where it was.

Yeah exactly theres a certain person who is ALWAYS the host of a lobby who has a 99.999999999999999% chance that he is AFK and parked in the road OR in the way of the smoothest line around a corner. Everytime you touch his car you get thrown backwards.. What exactly is that? I figured an abused glitch. But I won't mention his name -_- Just please if you're going to host a lobby atleast stay to manage the lobby in a non-jerk way, OR just turn off your PS3. You're only damaging your PS3's Bluray Disc reader from excessive run time.

Hey AiYuna, had fun drifting with you the other night. 👍 I'll send you a PSN invite as soon as I get rid of someone (PSN needs a bigger friends list).

I'm doin great btw, thanks. I'll be testing a few new drift Supras later if you feel like joining us again. I promise there will be no ramming Scuderias :sly:

I was in a Japanese room today and one Japanese guy was intent on ruining my drifts by ramming me in his Lamborghini. Luckily the host was trying to tandem with me and kicked him straight after I call the guy a bleeping idiot lol.

Eh? "Scude...? what?

Very true. Saddest part is that a majority don't even speak japanese or even arent in the slightest. But their English isn't that good either. No offense but a lot of people ini America online do not speak or type proper English at times it's really hard to understand them. In most cases the words they use are mostly made up words, shortcuts, typos, slang, etc lol.

This is exactly why I never drift on Tsukuba in lobbies with hosts I don't know. The more difficult the track, the less idiots will join. :)

The kick Idle would be perfect, considering I think nobody should put up lobbies as set host. :s Because it really makes no sense to. Unless you have an extremely good connection.

Nowadays you can't tell someone is japanese just by their japanese flag.

Which shouldn't matter. I got kicked from a German lobby, because I had no German flag. The fact I speak German really well, and live there... didn't matter.

Imo: Flags are solely to see which language a host is likely to use. Besides that, I would suggest to people that join a lobby, to join lobbies with languages you speak. Including Japanese ones.

You are not wrong to think that, but good luck on trying to put that inside all the 9.000.000 minds that play GT5.

I mean, people see the flag, in same instance they label you from that country. Even if they shouldn't, they still do.

I don't see why people don't want to represent there own country. I had a Japanese account and a USA account but never used them to play online. I only used them because they get things on ps store before us in the uk. I'm proud to be British and I'll represent my country to the fullest.

This.

It is quite sad how Albania,a 100 year old country, did not have a flag choice. Albania dates back to frickin 6th century A.D.! I wanna rep red & black.

There are only 2, maybe, just maybe 3 drifters worth calling good, from my country. I'm embarrassed to say the least. ;)

Im #1 in USA in the newest drift trial (team mopar) and I have only been drifting for 3 months and been #1 in USA for 2 months.
