Oh crap.. better practice some more.

Can you run that time with the online physics also?

i'll be on sometime tonight.

No idea about online. This was a fast lap though no doubt. I think I can do between 41.5 and 42.5 consistently and then every so often a 40. I still have yet to optimize the car's suspension and transmission. There's a section of the track where the Celica is particularly unhappy so I think if I can solve that section I stand to get at least half a second.

Are we not allowed to tune the premium RX7?

Of course you can tune it, you just can't add the engine stage 3 upgrade.

They can check for this during qualifying by checking what RPM your redline is at, I think.

@ugabugaz, you did have tire wear on right? i would expect the laps to get a little slower each time?

Hey is anyone down for a 6 lap sprint race here Saturday evening at same race time 4pm Pst?

If so sign up here:

If it's on Saturday, any reasonable time is ok with me. I'm guessing you mean Saturday Oct 20.

Yeah, any engine upgrade on any car will change the redline range, and it's very easy to see.

Yup I had tire wear on. I had my fast lap on my 2nd lap. Times will of course progressively go higher - I was just talking about when the tires were still fresh.

Dunno if we're doing weather, but I'd just like to warn you, I'm significantly faster in rain than most drivers :P. I remember I had my fastest time trial in Rain.

they said we aren't doing any weather changes. driving in the rain is no problem. selecting a tire up untill a high percentage is. i feel like i need the AUDI Le Mans race engineers for decision making sometimes

Usually I stick with a compound up until 35% or so. 40 and above becomes un-drivable (At least with SS tires).

I've been letting off the gas at a few times where I could be taking the turn flat out. Still been getting 6:46's consistently, so while others might fall off, I think I can go about 6 laps maybe 7 and not fall off so far, maybe about 2 or 3 seconds.

i have a room up now, if anyone wants to practice. got a pretty fast friend in here also.

thats a lot of laps to be running, i am only lasting about 5 laps.

Alright fellas there are a few of us who are down to race this weekend, but we need to come up with a time slot so what are your available times to race?

Also tonight I will be balancing out the new premium chassis for the series which will include:

Yellow Hat Supra
Woodone Supra
Petronas SC430
Xanavi GTR's both of them
Calsonic GTR

We also need to vote Seth's idea of implementing the Z06 and Audi idea?

We adding the GTR? Lol I'm for switching to that unless its 80bhp down on the 300s as that's the only way it's slower

Hey guys, I'm testing right now offline, but was thinkin of making a online room for all of us 2 race and get used to new set ups. if anyone is interested. I'll b on from 7-10pm est

the GT500 cars have more downforce, and if you limit the HP to something reasonable, they will still have a crazy torque cruve because they are limited so much. essentially having max power from 3000 rpm to 6000 rpm and no peak

i just checked one of the gt500 cars. considering it has more downforce, i lowered it to 360hp.
it still had 580 ft pounds of torque. and the curve peaked and flatlined from like 2500 all the way to 7500 rpm. i can't imagine how you would make these cars fair.

Also I've just tested out the MR s for a while..
It is WAY down on power to run with everything else

I think the MR-s might be the chassis that doesn't make enough power in the 1st place or its the one I had to slow down because it was a rocket in a straight line at the expense of mph which would only apply to certain tracks. I'll re check them tonight. Also Rocsko the GT500 was an idea, but you bring up a good point there so I'll check it out. I do believe only 1 or 2 of the GT500 cars has more downforce than the GT300's and if that's the case I wouldn't use those chassis I've done a racing series were they try to balance them but its not great. To me it would be more fair to run only the cars that have matching downforce.

I just pm afelin about putting the JSTC GT400 Racing Series Op together, so it should be up and running very soon'

The Audi R8 lms and zr1 rm have equal downforce points in game to the gt300 cars. I think theyd need 1240kg for the vette and 1300kg for the audi both with around 410-420hp.

but how much torque will they have after you limit them down to that HP limit? and across how massive of an RPM range?

Im going on to practice now.
Edit: Im really not liking the RX7, when I try to trail brake it understeers massively but when I brake going into a turn it oversteers massively. Then there is alot of mid-corner understeer. Stock setup is no good and neither is my tuning.

ZR1 RM is one of my favorite cars and as such I've used it for a loong time. At 498HP It has around 700 ft/lb of torque at a low rpm - drops off quickly. But still, 700 ft/lb (at least my configuration).

Honestly I would rather just keep it Japanese chassis so everything is matching vs having something heavy are with a lot of hp which can throw off tire wear or something else, but if you guys want it in will put it in but we got to vote on it so ill ask afelin if he can put up a poll right away. 👍

Also the GT500 cars wont work since their downforce is slightly higher than the GT300 cars. 👎
