Hows it going all. Been reading through some comments and sounds like I had some lagging issues. Cant say I noticed it myself. So would a wired connection help anythin else I could do to sort this problem. Havent watched my replay yet had great race with mrmelancholy guy nice one.

yes a wired connection does make it faster, but I think most of the time, you just have to exit and re-enter. It seems most of the time everyone is fine after they do that. I think it's just a problem with the game loading everything quick enough or something

I think at this point, a wired connection can only help.

What I think is actually more important, is whether or not you have an NAT Type 2 connection. You can check under your PS3 network status menu or something like that on the XMB. I think it also lists it in GT5 somewhere (I usually see it when I try to make a new online room).

NAT Type 2 I've heard is the most compatible with other connections. But a driver at the end of the Room B race told me they only saw 5 out of 8 or so people, and that's information that could have helped to have much earlier lol. I've usually been able to work out the "can't see everyone" problem by doing fixed-host, but as I've mentioned before, I'm reluctant to always turn to it for fear of me dropping out.

I'm going to upload the Room B replay file soon, and then I'll take a look at any off course/incident reports.

Thanks guys and thanks Skeng for hosting.

Click here for North American Room A replay file (thanks ugabugaz)
Click here for North American Room B replay file (unzip it and copy it to your PS3)

If you guys have replay files from the Euro or Asia version of the game, it would be cool if you uploaded those too :). Other people with those versions might not have the replay.

I've sent my thoughts about the Room A chicane incidents to other stewards. We're working it out.

I'll post the initial results for the race soon.

Results posted. Any penalties will be applied directly to points.

Reminder: Any car you decide to use in the next race (Laguna Seca) will be the car you MUST drive for the rest of the season!

Not sure why I started getting DC'd so much at the start of the race. For the couple hours leading up to the race I didn't have any issues. I even ran around track in skengs room prior to race check. Only when everyone joined in had the problem started. I was systematically checking my throughput and was getting anywhere from 11-13Mbps and up was around 2Mbps.... not sure what the change was. Clearing cache didn't really help, when the race ended I was DC'd immediately.

I got on for a few hours after the race to test it out and did not get DC'd even once. Last night was the first time that's ever happened to me.

Same kind of thing happened to another player in Room B. It just sounds like someone else in the room was messing with your connect somehow. But I've never seen people get DC'd constantly, usually they just can't get in.

When you say chicane incidents, do you mean completely cutting by 4 wheels on the green?

I meant where people were getting punted off into the chicanes or some other kind of collissions, but if you know about the ones were people were cutting the chicane, that would help too.

Oh no, from what I've watched of the race it was very clean in regards to the cutting of corners and using run offs. I didn't realise you meant the crashes.

Yeah sandy, good race. I had too much downforce. I hgad to push through the corners to keep pace, so I really couldn't stay in front, when I couldn't draft off of you, and you had all of that draft off of my car.

I normally ran with full but this week I ran 5 less on the back, also ran with mid range turbo. Gives more torque and my fastest qualifying was with it.

I can see the advantage of reducing rear downforce for qualifying but during the race with tyres wearing, it's full downforce all the way, I managed to take the Schumacher s's flat out even with worn tyres.

This. Sandwich was really fast at the opening of the 2 stints, but, I caught up, and passed, later on, when his tires wore.

I ran 56 points rear downforce with the ARTA and could take the Senna S flat out for any part of the stint. The only thing is following someone through there in the draft may disrupt your line.

Hi guys.

I've just done some testing on the standard cars. (well in the process right now, will edit later)

The MRS needs an extra 10bhp. It's waaaaaay slower in a straight line and can't even keep in the draft of the Lexus

For what it's worth. The Celica is pretty even as it is.

Standard Subaru good as it is

If its too late to change regs, make note for next season lol

I still think the lexus shouldn't be bar to compare cars, but instead, the RX7. The lexus needs to be brought down in speed/ability/pace whatever you want to call it, as it has continuously been the fastest car by far. But, yeah the MR-S needs some help as well. I've noticed it being a dog compared to the other cars unless you are running the car perfectly.

Sorry I missed last week guys. i was busy with stuff on saturday D:

I did 235kmh before braking for T1 @Nurburgring in the MRS, compared to 233kmh for the Garaiya.

Yeah it's quite fun testing these.

We were doing quick races and like Zach said, i couldn't even pull up to the back of the lexus in the draft down the straight.

The Lexus shouldn't be the fastest car no, but it is so I'm comparing too it lol.
Nerfing the Lexus brings it way down the field, too much than intended. Only way to nerf accurately would be to add weight. But then it's way too slow in corners.

The mrs even 40bhp down is faster to 60 than the Lexus lol

The garaiya is slow in the straights, but has the best cornering of any car. I was able to run 1:59.5s with it with 70kg of ballast, so it's no slouch. The MR-S is missing the cornering grip of the garaiya, hence why it needs more power.

That sounds like short 1-3 gears. And when are we ever below 60?

60-120 times would be a better indication of true pull than 0-60 imho.

It needs less weight. The power is fine because it hits that 235kmh. I did 234kmh in the RX7 and 233kmh in the Garaiya. The Lexus I did 236kmh. That cornering speed is a problem, but less weight should help cornering 👍

Of course not everyone is able to go as fast as others. So regardless, ballast will play a hand in faster guys.

Yes I know. That's why the mrs needs more power as Lexus pulls away way too hard after that lol.

You guys clearly feel as though I've got no idea what I'm doing. If you think the regs are so badly broken then instead of criticising suggestions go fix them yourself.

Behave, no one is criticizing you. I just said the Lexus pulls away from every car. MY SUGGESTION is Lexus 394hp 1160kg. MRS 364hp 1160kg. RX7 374hp 1165kg. Garaiya 374hp 1180kg. Celica 364hp 1165kg. Standard Subaru 384hp 1130kg. Premium Subaru Unlimited.
