You guys clearly feel as though I've got no idea what I'm doing. If you think the regs are so badly broken then instead of criticising suggestions go fix them yourself.
BAZZERI don't think the problem is the lexus hp, its just the MR-S is to slow. Lexus to me seems even with a few on this track. If you start to nerf the lexus the rx-7 and Garaiya will hammer it.
Nonsense. The MR-S is a great car, even at these high-asking specs. Give the Silvia a boost, I like it, too, but, the motor sucks. Maybe give me like 3 horsepower... Or, just let me try again with less downforce. Seriously, I just battled with the Lexus for an entire race.
Honestly, then, I can say that the MR-S, asides from straightline speed, is on par. It handles great. It handles much better than the Lexus, so horsepower's the only concern. But, instead, focus on the Silvia. I'm not here to win races, I'm here to have good, clean, close racing. Last race was good, but the MR-S had too much downforce, and not enough power.
The Silvia, though, always stuck out, to me, as the sort of Heikki Kovalainen car; the nice-looking, good sportsman car, that always seems to be in last. Stupid Caterham. The MR-S is more like the Kamui Kobayashi car; punching above its weight, and not failing, but not winning.
The Silvia is maxxed out and is still way too slow for the field. It's basically removed from the list unofficially.

The Lexus you battled with had a fastest lap more than 2 seconds of the pace. That's not a great comparison for the car speeds.
Yes, but, that's only considering one lap, on which he followed me, drafted, had a light fuel load, and had brand new tires. Once the tires wore down, the MR-S was faster.
I'm only saying that we shouldn't be using the stand-out car in the field as our yardstick, but instead use the cars that have the most in a certain pace range as our comparison pace.
This would be like performing an experiment and getting a statistical anomaly and trying to work all the other data that is much closer to the mean to coincide with our extremity. Instead of moving the mean to the limit, lets bring the superior limit down to the mode and the inferior limit(s) up to the mode as well. Then the std. dev between the cars will be much lower and the mean will much closer coincide with the mode.
Make more sense now? At this point the heirarchy seems to be
No that was his fastest lap in the whole race, 31 laps.
👍lol?
racefan88I would love to join this series.

Looks like the Lexus needs weight and maybe less power too.
How do you work that one out? Considering it's not the fastest in a straight line, nor fastest round the bends?
That's the only reason I raced with the Lexus in the first place. I like the bright blue colors. Second best bet is the Celica, which I'm in now lol
Also won't deny I have a thing for Toyota/Lexus![]()
if we have to make a final choice for which car we will be using this weekend, will the specs be announced as final in the next day or two, to allow for us to test with them before making our final selection?
Well I'm probably sticking with the Garaiya and I hope you guys pay serious attention to the Lexus and its outclassing the rest of the field. Makes no sense that this should even be a problem so far into the series unless this maiden season really just is experimental.
