Honda Epson NSX - Gr. 2
pUc6uy.jpg

I came to realize how great the other NSX Gr. 2 car is while tuning this car. This car is seconds behind it. At any rate, this is still a fun drive, but she does have her limits. Don't steer too much while exiting at full throttle, she may start to spin on you. Also, don't overdrive her into the corners, she likes it when you drive precise and she rewards you for it. No mileage upgrades were done to the car.

A pretty standard tune for the most part. I had to increase the front rebound dampers (and decrease the rear) to get her to behave on exit. She's still several seconds behind the Ford GT Test Car, but still a fun ride. No mileage upgrades were done to the car.

Why is the rear end ride height bottomed out?

Stability when exiting corners. You can raise the rear ride height if you want to introduce more oversteer. I like it where it's at now, but feel free to play around with the rear RH and see the difference for yourself 👍

Sometimes there seems to be one thing that keeps a car from driving properly, this time it was the LSD Braking Sensitivity. I wasted a ton of time trying to tune the car elsewhere. I popped this up to 20 and it felt smoother when turning in. I set it to 30 and it felt right. Typically, I find this setting to ease/hinder turning, not how smooth it flows through the apex. Strange as that is, she is ready. No mileage upgrades were done to the car.

I had to spend some time tuning this car just for the offline content races. She was unpredictable coming out of corners. If you want more control than this, increase the DF to 1150 / 2000. I prefer it like it is below because in this car you can actually see the amount of top speed and acceleration you are losing with the higher DF. Buyer Beware: the lead car in the offline race at St. Croix is STUPID fast, like thats a bug, fast. I'd suggest using Racing: Soft tires against him, and practice the course well. #youvebeenwarned  No mileage upgrades were done to the car.

Thank you for the response. I asked because I haven’t seen that since GT6 :D

Chevrolet Corvette C7 - Gr. 3

One lesson to be learned from this tune; lowering the rear Rebound Dampers helps with high speed understeer. Zeroing out the Toe and dropping the LSD helped more than I expected. She also loved the increased roll bars, but I had to keep the rear lower for the corner exit stability/confidence. No mileage upgrades were done to the car.

I started the tune as I normally do with FF cars; increase rear NF, dropping the all but the AS LSD to 5's, dropped the front RH and increased the front camber (and decreased the rear), but what really made the tune come alive was the toe and dropping the rear RH. Anytime I stiffened the dampers she over-reacted when exiting turns, so I just left the front Rebound Damper up to help with corner exit turn-in. No mileage upgrades were done to the car.

Nice!

I ran a random lobby over the weekend exclusive to cars of the 80s/90s. The BMW M3 Sport Evolution '89 was featured quite a bit and it might be a car I try to include in my rotation. However, I just realized that I don't have a tune for that one. Is that something you might want to try out?

I'll start by saying if you don't like the tune below, you can also take a stock tune and:
Drop the LSD to 5s
Set the Toe(s) to 0s
Lower all Downforce to min
And have a decent tune. I kept going and made her a little safer to drive on all tracks. You may have to lift slightly when entering high speed turns. No mileage upgrades were done to the car.

Just wonder Renault Sport LSD setting

Looks like a copy/paste typo. I'll go remove the front LSD as its RWD and not 4WD. Thanks for the heads up!

I have about 4 of the new cars tuned, but finding time with the holidays and the flu and other family stuff, it's been tough. Soon though 👍

Where do I begin with this steamy pile of "metal". Well thats how the tune started anyway. I wasn't planning on tuning her tonight, but after 3 failed attempts at Suzuka in the offline career mode, I just simply had to. I tuned her at Suzuka and Nurburgring GP to make a universal tune (hopefully). The keys to success with her were to soften basically everything except the Natural Frequency, lower the front DF to 1400. And the magic sauce was setting the LSD to 60 /5 /60 which I dropped to 55s to give it a touch more turn in without sacrificing exit spin outs. Protip, ease into the throttle as you exit in 2nd gear, notice no TCS. Shift early into 3rd and 4th. The TCS got in the way and slowed the car down, that being said if you are a beginner, set TCS to the default 3 and you shouldn't have any worries. No mileage upgrades were done to the car.

Great tune Jerome. Completed all seven races with gold on first try. Passed for p1 at the halfway lap in each race. Then the rubberband kicked in and you can only keep a 10-15 second lead until the end.

I've been beyond swamped with the holidays and my time off I've been building my lego star wars sets and knee deep in Assetto Corsa (#donbeh8n). I'll try and post these 4 tunes I mentioned this week 👍

And I will say tuning in AC feels like boxing with one arm at times

Yeah, that tune is pretty good. I've won 3 of the races so far.

Also, welcome back to Jerome. Looking forward to trying out some more of your tunes.
