*edit* Humm I wonder what engine swaps are going to be possible. In real life VW/Porsche released a VW Beetle with a 6 cylinder 911 Boxer engine in place of the rear seats. Also, one of the most popular engine swaps for the Beetle in real life is the Mazda rotary engine (not sure if they would allow cross-brand engine swaps in Forza4 though), type-3 VW "pancake" engines (which can be enlarged to 3 litres!) or even a leter model fuel injected engine from a Mexican VW Beetle!

Plus, also in real life, the stock 1.6 litre engines are very comonly enlarged to 2.2 litres or more! But realistically, this 1963 model Beetle would've only been available with either the 1200, 1300 or 1500 engines (1600 only came about a few years later I think). If anyone knows which versions were available in 1963 please enlighten us!

A little off subject but I am very pleased with the support T10 had this time around. In FM3 the car packs were here and there..then non existant when FM4 was announced. And with "Forza Horizon" announced and they are still knocking out packs is great.....Which makes me wonder if the "Horizon" is just going to be a an expansion onto this game and not a complete game.....Sorry for the ramble

Best DLC pack so far and probably will be for a long time, the only car I'm not fussed about is the Corvette but a new car is a new car so it's welcomed by me. I hope you can properly slam the Beetle, I want to see this

Squeal:
1959 BMW 507
1940 Ford De Luxe Coupe
1958 MG MGA Twin-Cam
1963 Volkswagen Beetle

Very nice:
1987 RUF CTR Yellowbird
1992 Toyota Celica GT-Four RC ST185
2011 Aston Martin Cygnet
1997 Maserati Ghibli Cup

meh:
2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series
2011 Chevrolet #4 Corvette Racing ZR1

As always, the older cars do it for me in the way a 1000hp racer or hypercar just can't. I especially can't wait to get hooning about in that '40 Ford. I'll be sharpening up my traditional hot rod and custom car paint job skills. I wonder if we'll be able to remove the hood like a proper '40 Ford hot rod? I wanna see that flathead with three Stromberg 97s trumpeting to the sky!

I know there's plenty of LM cars in Forza right now, but man, I'm happy they finally added the ZR-1-based C6.R. :D

Personally, I'm eager to see what liveries the community will make for this one. I'd love to see a 2012 livery for it.

VXR
I will faint if they add a chrome roof rack as a Beetle spoiler option.

SO MUCH THIS. You can't do a proper California custom Beetle without it. I'd also like to see fender deletes, trumpet exhaust and everything else to make a Baja Beetle.

Another awesome pack.

one gripe though. Aston Martin cygnet is just a Toyota shopping car with a bad face lift. Like taking your average woman and sticking Cheryl Coles face on it doesnt make it worth riding in.

And its actually a cynical ploy by Aston to get past the regs of making loads of gas guzzlers but then have one Aston badged tree huggers car in their range....rubbish

Wow, finally a pack with more than one car I want badly. My original wishlist from release date ago is.coming together. The Ruf Yellowbird will be fun no doubt. The BMW and Beetle were not on the list but very welcome additions. But the Ford will get lots of playing time and attention from me. I wanted a car I could turn into a hotrod or ratrod and that will do just fine. Now, some matte black please.

Here's hoping T10 don't disappoint, although I wouldn't get too excited at the thought of removing arches because T10 have never done an open wheel car before have they? Would be nice though and there's a first time for everything so I'm not counting it out

I'm expecting to get a lot of flack from narrow minded "But Forza 4 is a RACING simulator" but I'd love it if T10 gave us the option to focus our tuning for the Beetle on the aesthetics rather than the performance, please please please give us loads and loads of options for bumpers and stuff like that

I think this is looking like the best pack so far for me, although I don't know much about the older cars I usually find them a lot of fun to drive. The highlight of this pack for me will definitely be the GT2 Corvette.

We've all seen Top Gear. When you have an original idea of your own, let us know. :sly:

Because they just recently sold the VIP DLC with the promise of discounts on future content, like the discount on the Porsche pack for VIP members.

I thought that was only because the Porsche expansion pack was more expensive. I must've missed the part where they promised future discounts, I would be surprised if the discount is anything substantial....and if we can download it on time.

They haven't offered a discount for a monthly pack yet, have they? I doubt they would start giving a discount for VIP members now. If I were to expect some sort of discount, I would be for former Season Pass holders but even then, there was no discount last month. Hopefully though we'll get the pack again for free by mistake.

I must've missed the part where they promised future discounts,

Yes, yes you did.

"Forza Motorsport 4 VIP members will receive five (5) Limited Collector’s Edition cars: 2011 Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, 2011 Ferrari 458 Challenge, 2011 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera, 2010 Noble M600, and the 2011 RUF Rt 12 R. Members also receive special gift cars from Turn 10, access to exclusive events, in-game VIP designation, and expanded storefront and media slots. VIP members receive discounts on the Porsche Expansion Pack as well as on eligible new FM4 add-on packs. "

Ah, thanks. I knew I wasn't imagining it.
I mentioned that on FM and people called BS. Pretty crap to make that one of the selling points for VIP and then charge full price anyway.

The Beetle is bound to have a range of visual mods of a similair ilk to the Porsches. Being able to create different models rather than fully modifying it imo.

Problem is when they stuck the word "eligible" in there you know that means no Vaseline.

Somewhat pleased the cars in this pack are so cool, cause with the first details of FH being announced, FM's tracks are feeling even more restrictive and tired for me.
