I just want to know what engine swap's going to be added this time.

I hope it's a Viper engine going in.....................

the 350Z

The GR GT3 Concept was announced to be in development. That's nearly six months, from when it was announced.
There's also an updated announcement of the GR Corolla. We don't kno what new Toyota will debut for the he GR Cup, later this year. So, I'd predict the he GR Corolla or GR GT3 this update.

Sorry for Toyota haters. ;)

I was close in predicting(guessing) the Suzuki Concept, as the final silhouette car. Which, wound up being a VGT. 've gotten nothing else. We'll see what we get.

Yeah, the days of an Epic Whining and crying thread are useless.
Adding to one of the GR cars, I’m thinking we’ll get this as an older car
1654306164544.jpeg

and if there are only three cars for the next update, I can’t call the last one. 928 GTS4? The Mitsubishi Starion? Lamborghini Espada?

Keep expectations low, PD it’s so behind schedule that they are mainly fixing bugs (many of which they create with every update) for every fix they add 2 new bugs.
It’s gonna take time to really see a Concistent growth in content, in the mean time it’s what it is.
Don’t have any sense to compare GTS updates to predict what update will be in GT7.
No matter where you look in the game, it’s full of errors, bugs, or incomplete development.
New cars and tracks will be drop at a low rate because the game is far from stable and ready. They will drop 2 or 3 random cars every update to keep the fury low, but as I say it will take time.
Erm, I wouldn’t say that’s how it played out with GT Sport. Or for that matter what is happening with GT7.

GT Sport came out of the gate with mediocre reviews and uproar at the lack of content and a single-player mode. Hence PD rushing out meaty updates and new game modes. While Sony slashed it’s RRP by half to rescue the poor launch.

GT7 is a substantial title with many dozen’s of hour’s of content. With significantly more potential thanks to the comprehensive tuning and weather simulation. Rather than GT Sport’s tedious sliders and lack of visual updates (outside of a few wheels).

In more than 50hr’s of gameplay (probably closer to 100hr’s) I haven’t encountered a single bug. Admittedly I haven’t spent a single minute online, which seems to be the area in most need of work. However devs working on bugs, won’t be working on car/track models, and so on.

So I expect we’ll get regular monthly DLC consisting of 3-4 cars. One all new track every quarter. And the usual additions to Missions, Events, Circuit Experience etc. I do think we’ll also get some paid DLC down the line. Maybe Pikes Peak, maybe a game mode like the Hamilton Time Trial.

I expect disappointment and I still feel like those expectations will be exceeded :(

I doubt they're going to "fix" the lobbies as its not a "known issue" under multiplayer. This suggests to me that the lobby's are working as intended, just like the terrible currency problems and the lack of single player content.

Based on how they're going so far... maybe another "track layout" a few new cars and about 3 hours worth of offline content. They'll fix the FBB bug they introduced in the previous update (yes, a bug, 100% not an intentional move) and break something else in the progress. None of the issues that the players have brought up will be addressed (other than the FBB)

-That is my serious prediction - which is sad

If the rumours I hear about the future DLC cars is true, then I think we are in for quite the treat.

However, the shockingly low amount of content issue will still remain. PD doesn't add more than 8 hours of content to play for an entire month.
This latest menu book takes less than 2 hours to complete. And the one that took 8 hours was because they literally added 8 races that take 1 hour to complete.

Lobbies and the FFB issues don't affect me personally but from what I've seen, they are quite bad nad need fixing ASAP. But I predict they won't fix the Lobbies... FFB however they will definitely fix for obvious reasons.

I just want events and then 10 times more events.

I got so many cars I want to put on the track and race.

And then I want specialized events where PD picks the car and the field and asks us to win. Like missions just more of them..
This x1000
Just put 75% of the GT4 career mode and GT7 become the best GT ever... The base is really good and get "destroyed" by such a low event number...

Never put your expectations too high up with PD.
Probably 3 cars from the datamined list and 3 low paying races.
What I want: all cars from datamined list, new track or tracks, the rest of the CE, more high paying races, another set of missions like the human comedy, ability to sell duplicate cars, weather radar zoom out further than its current max, stop following hagerty prices and reduce the penalties for hitting the wall from 5s to 2s in tokyo wtc 600pp.

I don't understand why people want Pikes Peak so much. An edge-to-edge track that only serves to do time trials. It doesn't have much use for other events and races. With the resources spent on Pikes Peak, you can bring in three or more real circuits. As for the Suzuki Escudo, it also doesn't have much use except for what it was destined for, races against time. I don't believe PD would place this car in any racing group.

I would prefer that PD dedicate its resources to classic original tracks, world famous and important tracks, and modern GT3 cars, GT1 and GT cars from the 90s, as well as more DTM and SuperGT models.

For time trials, maybe? Just a thought.

Watching Kie’s stream last night and the in game chat had people like Gallo and Haku saying the game is broken. SuperGT has left the game for now and is uploading clips of AC instead. I know the ‘influencer’ types can be easily dismissed but it’s not a good look.
You remember when abouts this was by any chance? Would love to see the convo.

I don't think it's so much that they want it but that we know they've had the exclusive license since 2017, so nobody else can use it. If they've got the license, we might as well want them to make use of it so people can drive on it somewhere.

Besides, whilst in real life it's far too dangerous for proper racing I think you could easily do it in game, the roads are wide enough for at least 6-10 cars. Hopefully if/when PD add it they do include that option but even if they don't, it would be something totally fresh and new to the series, discounting that small portion in GT2. I'd look forward to driving a bunch of cars up and down the course, instead of some meandering races on the same old tracks yet again.

Oh and you don't think PD would place a completely out of place car in a racing group? Where have you been the last few years?

  • BMW M2 ‘18
  • Bugatti Chiron ‘16
  • Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX GSR ‘06
  • Pontiac GTO “The Judge” ‘69
  • Porsche 918 Spyder ‘13
  • Renault 5 Maxi Turbo Rally Car ‘85
  • Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak ‘98

The US track isn’t just random code but content ready to be released. There’s other track data discovered too. But that does fall into the (potentially) random code.
I can get to the bottom of this.

Renault 5 Maxi Turbo Rally Car ‘85 like the Renault R5 Turbo '80, this was a Gran Turismo 6 Standard Car. This was the same case with the iconic Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak ‘98.

There was a premium model of the Lancer Exo IX GSR in Gran Turismo 5 & Gran Turismo 6 which was a 2005 model which was called the "Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX GSR '05" shown here which also had a touring car version (2nd photo):

However, I would love to see this car come to GT7 as a Premium mode some day (If it does, it will pretty much land itself into the Legends Dealership):

It’s also a good and challenging road to drive any car. Rather than a circuit. It’s an option to test cars and a Change of scenery.

In Project Cars, there’s California Highway 1. It’s awesome to drive point to point. They’ve also added the Monaco coast line. Another cool option.

Pikes Peak is also a real road. So, having that as an option shows players how daunting it is. Even if the fear factor isn’t felt.

It’s not one or the other. There are already 3-4 tracks lined up in development for GT7. Indications are one will arrive in June. But we’ll see.

The overwhelming majority of players are into single-player content. It was a huge misjudgment to focus on online with GT Sport. But now it’s here, obviously it makes sense, to continue supporting it.

That said, Pikes Peak can be used not just for Time Trial, but also Touge, or just casual, highway style, play. As we see people do on Tokyo Highway. Many just want to drive and try out their new cars & builds. Incidentally, there is now a separate category for Pikes Peak cars, which wasn’t in GT Sport.

...Except he isn't? I checked all over his social media sites and didn't see anything except for a tweet saying he's stopped playing GT7 'cause he broke his elbow.

No offense, but if you're going to claim something like this, at least provide some proof. It's all you need to do.

Because PD got the license and is actively preventing other games from having it. If the only game that can have Pikes Peak now doesn't, what is even the point of licensing it in the first place.

The Tomahawk X pretty much serves the same purpose. It's supposed to be a car only supposed to be used for time trials.

Do you know how to get in touch with SuperGT? Does he go to the Discord server for GT? I've been watching his videos for about 2 years and still am having trouble with the sport mode/setting good low lap times. See the penalty system makes it hard b/c you make one slight error and it costs you dearly in a race. I've messed up a few times. One time I was 1st most of the race until the last lap where I went too fast and ran into the wall and it cost me, finished 6th.

I don't think we're going to get much in this upcoming update either. Probably 3 cars like in the last update. I bet we willl get 18 cars in 6 months. And the new cars & Premium Converted cars are probably way higher quality than Gran Turismo Sport's cars. So no more updates with more than 3 cars each. I bet at the end of GT7's life cycle, ther will be 600-650 cars in GT7, a lot more an Gran Turismo Sport's. And the only christmas present we will probably get from PD is discounts on Microtransactions and random cars we didn't ask for.

It takes 6 whole months to model and add cars to GT7.

Well I don't expect too much, after all PD won't do everything we wish for. But it would be nice if they would make the penalty system in sport mode less stricter. If you even take a shortcut or run into the wall hard they'll penalize you by taking 2-3 seconds off your time.

Yep. My bad. It was a TikTok video someone sent me from the ‘SuperGT TikTok channel’. I don’t do TikTok so wasn’t aware that it’s a fan channel and not actually his channel.
Although he did tweet this after PD broke the FFB

The other bits mentioned from Kie’s stream definitely happened though!

I don't hope to get some great update. Kaz doesn't want to understand fans. He thinks that 9 races with low money are enough. But fans can't use New events for grind. As result i can spend 1 Day with New tracks and 29 days of grinding. I was thick to decide to but all cars, but i can't stop right now when 10 cars left to buy (80,000,000)
I dream Kaz Will hire one fan as consultant to make this game like a dream

I can definitely see them adding the Evolution IX to join the existing lineup in GT7 (IV, V, VI and X). However, it would once again shed light on the general absence of former premium models of the Impreza WRX STI:

The Tuning Shop is even using the skeleton from one of these to illustrate weight reduction etc. This is not a prediction, just a reminder.

Seeing we got a Gr.1, Gr.3, VGT, GT Awards, new model sports car and a classic kei car. Maybe we get a Gr.4. In the form of Porsche’s latest 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport.

That car ran at Pike’s Peak. There’s also the GT2 RS Clubsport, but I’d think the 718 as a safer bet.
