Organise all the World Circuit events into a proper career mode, add some more and make each level subject to passing the relevant licence in order to participate. Give decent rewards for progression.
Then we can all start over and give PD time to fix everything else.

As for biggest letdowns, I think PD have changed this game more times than V8 Supercars change their rule book.

Is there a social side to it? Obviously, car collecting and car culture can be quite a social thing. People love to show off their car collections.

That's fair enough. It was worth a punt anyway! Obviously this is the first numbered game for quite a while. When did work start on this in earnest? I always got the impression that work on this next numbered title has been going on in the background for quite a while.

Kazunori Yamauchi: This time around we really made this Gran Turismo title with a sense of urgency, because compared to 25 years ago there aren't very many leads or ways for people to become car fans anymore. I think Gran Turismo really has a big responsibility in that aspect to create new car fans out of the new generation of kids out there.

With GT Cafe, it really urges you to collect these cars, and teaches you about the cultural backgrounds of these significant cars. We've spent a lot of energy working on that, and the reason for that was to make sure that the kids who are discovering cars for the first time really get to have an opportunity to come into contact with that knowledge.

Well, Kaz, really. Players are forced to collect cars at the start. I mean, for anyone that wants to unlock features. There was nothing wrong, in past games, with clicking on a car and reading its history. A Cafe with reading heads wasn’t necessary.
Biggest let down has been poor execution.

He talks about urgency to collect cars but the game doesn’t even have events for most of the top end cars. Talking about urgency is rich coming from a developer that wasn’t very urgent in finishing the game. 5 years is a long time when you already have a game to base the new one on. You have to wonder how bad their management structure is.

Which might be ongoing as we speak. If something unexpected but non-critical occurs during testing they’ll probably release the build anyway and adjust the patch notes accordingly last minute.

They need to add engine swaps PROPERLY into the game so anyone can buy them if they have the funds....the engine swaps already come with a retail value, so they obviously have some kind of thought on it.. its ridiculous...the whole "gift card roulette" is ******** and should never of been put into the game....

No you get it wrong, it‘s that this kind of criticism on GT7 isn’t cool anymore, i read these comments that everything gets turned realistic and more „money grabbing methods“ get implemented a million times here. It’s just overexaggerating for the sake of it and doesn’t have anything to do with the actual situation.

If you just meant it as a pure joke I apologize, and than it’s a clever joke, but after all these other comments of PD-bashing because it‘s a thing now, it’s hard to differentiate.

The payout? 5 million.
When it should be like 20 million minimum (without clean race bonus, which btw, hats off to anyone who can do a 24hr race with the clean race bonus).

What's more? You won't have the "save during race" feature like you had in GT5, so you have to pause your game and leave the console consuming electricity or just do it all in one setting.

Even worse? It's going to be a one-time payout event.

Plus we'll have the usual 3 cars. I'm going to be optimistic and say it's going to be a new Gr.1 car that's not a VGT, a supercar and a Rally Car/Pikes Peak Car.

It might explain why I got the CRB after hitting a few AI and going off track a few times on one race and then lost it after a slight tap at most on an AI in another race. I assumed it was just the game having entirely different CRB rules depending on the race, but the game never says anything so I don't actually know.

Makes sense, it was an endurance race where I absolutely should've lost it but didn't. I was so convinced I'd lost the bonus that I gave up entirely on driving clean near the end, but still got it.

I wish the game was clearer about what determines the CRB, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time before players figure out how it works... until Polyphony decides to change it one day.

Well that'd do it, my race had no yellow flags to begin with. Strange that it's inconsistent, but it makes sense for endurance races to be a little more forgiving considering how likely it is for something to go wrong in that time.

Google says pikes peak hill climb has a lenght of almost 20km or 12,42 miles. Dunno if PD would put a rally course as big as that in the game. I would bet more on a remake of the gt2 track but bigger. But you never know. I hope they put the real thing in the game

I’m sure this is one of the reasons why it’s taken so long. Alongside its unsuitability for GT Sport.

It’s also why I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s paid DLC. 20km of track, plus reverse, different game modes etc. It’s almost like a full expansion.

Let's hope that they finally get the online lobbies up and running. Everything else is absolutely unimportant and must be pushed backwards. My fear, however, is that there are again only unimportant rudimentary changes and the online community is looking into the tube.

Stating the obvious here. But devs working on network issues & online, won’t be doing car/track modelling, art creation, scapes, FFB or whatever else. These things will all be progressing independently.

While the online community should have their issues addressed. It’s also a small subsection of the overall playerbase.

It wouldn't surprise me if (not-so-)random price increases every 3 mont...er...dynamic pricing comes to the other 2 dealers.

Seriously, I'm expecting little more than some PP inflation to make grinding just that much harder, maybe some minor bug fixes, and perhaps a partial FFB fix.
