Not sure about a let down, but damn sure we are about to have more whining
Tragedy! A bug fixing update didn't add 2 million races, 3 thousand cars and 4 hundred tracks! Review bombing time!
We would still be using black and white TV's if we had more people like you.

It's common for virtually every online game. Just as random examples I remember right now, Destiny 2 and Rainbow Six Siege have maintenances when an update drops.
Like I said, GT7 is mostly single player. It just has an online component like most other racing games yet they don’t need down time for new patches. Do you have any examples of this for racing games?

iRacing.

I know this post is referencing Le Mans this weekend, but if PD doesn’t give us new content by this weekend, this post will feel a bit like trolling.

Just to set expectations and maybe avoid the outrage tomorrow (who am I kidding…): I don’t think this is “the” June update - this should come later this month. What we are getting tomorrow is most likely just a hotfix. My educated guess would be a FFB fix.

I consider everything beyond that a welcome bonus, but I don’t expect it.

They need to add engine swaps PROPERLY into the game so anyone can buy them if they have the funds....the engine swaps already come with a retail value, so they obviously have some kind of thought on it.. its ridiculous...the whole "gift card roulette" is ******** and should never of been put into the game....
You're so right. I finally got my first engine swap since having the game day 1 🤪🤪

I believe this new update is to introduce a few more bugs, disable some stuff that doesn't work properly and add "something" new, so everyone is happy because of new content while they game still is far away to be ready.

Hopefully they allow us to actually see what our DR and SR raw numbers are directly.

Then I wake up and my coffee is cold.

the beta test continues, for sony's 20 million sold PS5's to date, that all very likely have a high attached install rate of GT7
not complaining, in fact au contraire, we got the game in a playable and enjoyable state years earlier than past iterations with console release.
please bring us offline no PSplus required seasonal races. though perhaps this is now in the form of GT Café menu items.

They're gonna nerf the 787b, GR010 and C9 aren't they?

Honestly it seems like the only concern they have with the game is making sure we don't earn credits. Forget bugs, content, making the UI friendlier, no. Just make sure we can't enjoy the cars in the game. I might join the boycott bandwagon if they do that. Was just starting to accept Sardegna's grind for 700k. If there's no other way to earn enough credits to buy legendaries other than buying, I'm out.

Probably won't be any new content, but would love to see the Corvette C8 and the LM GTE Pro version along with the new Vantage and GTE version for 24h of Le Mans. The 720 McClaren and Porsche GT2 RS would be nice also, hehe.

GT7 is still online-bound, so it gets treated like an online game. In that regard it's no different from Destiny or, if you want another game, Marvel's Avengers where content access is restricted during maintenance (or in Destiny's case, inaccesible).

Should so much of the game be online-bound? Obviously not, but that's a different topic

Yeah that’s exactly what I’m saying. It shouldn’t be, hence the frustration. They haven’t developed it correctly and similar games do it better. They’re just stuck in their ways.

1 game, which is literally all online. That’s it? You can’t really compare the two. Also iracing is much much older than GT7.
You asked for an example, I gave you one.

Sorry it wasn't the "correct" one.
