No.
Giorgio Pantano '08, Davide Valsecchi '12, Fabio Leimer '13, Jolyon Palmer '14, Stoffel Vandoorne '15, Pierre Gasly '16 and Nick De Vries '19 all didn't get an immediate promotion to F1.
Very interesting to see, thanks 👍

The two leaders took each other out fighting for the lead in F3, and Mick Schumacher had to retire in F2 cause the fire extinguisher went off in the cockpit.

I love the junior formulae...

It was the same crash as Hamilton and Albon pretty much, but there nowhere near as much furore

Ghiotti needs to get something for turning in on Lundgaard, and Lundgaard needs to get something for driving back on to the track with a damaged car, blocking his team-mate and causing him to send Markelov into the wall.

Shame the F3 race finished under safety car. Was shaping up to a fantastic battle between Lawson and Piastri over the final few laps. Glad the drivers involved in that incident are okay though.

Formula 2 is really knocking it out of the park at the moment. Lundgaard had a tyre blowout...after sixteen laps. Shwartzmann, Schumacher and Tsunoda were fighting for the lead the whole race, Schumacher passed Shwartzmann at Luffield and then cut across his team-mate and broke his front wing, which gave Tsunoda the win, and dropped Shwartzmann back to 13th after trying to finish with the broken front wing. Interestingly the stewards decided it was a racing incident! Before this weekend Shwartzmann was leading the championship by 4 points, he's now in 3rd, 21 points behind Ilott...

Formula 3 was even more immense. The final lap was incredible, watch it on YouTube

Yeah Zendeli was not happy after that. It's so rare to get racing as close as that in F1, even though drivers like Lundgaard like to complain incessantly about tyre wear he still runs nose-deep in the diffuser of the car in front.

I'm fairly new to watching the feeder series', what slightly confuses me is that despite everyone using the same car some teams just seem to be naturally faster than others, are they good at picking drivers or is everyone given the same chassis as a template and they mess around with it in whatever way they can?

I'm surprised they deemed it a racing incident, and so quickly too. Even Schumacher admitted it was his fault.

The cars are all identical, up and down the grids in F2 and F3. The differences will be in car setup, drivers and strategy. Teams like Prema will just have a bigger pool of experience and ability when setting up cars and may get a slightly better pick of drivers than say MP Motorsport of Charouz. Just from being around for longer and having a better reputation.

Its a Spec series but team choice matters, the best teams generally have more money to buy the better Staff who can set the car up better, like Indycar which is a spec series apart from engine supply you would want to be in a Penske rather then a A.J Foyt car for example.

The F2 drivers are matching the qualifying times of the 2014 Caterhams and Marussias.

A certain Mr M Fassbender is apparently making an appearance in the Porsche Supercup today according to a Eurosport preview.

Going to Lemans too.

3secs off pole, starts 23rd.

Juri Vips' car has broken down before he even set a lap time so his first foray in Formula 2 is going well...
