Just a something I thought before going to bed...

Last night, I lay awake in bed when this thought just popped into my head. I already posted this on another forum, but I'm posting it here to see what other people think about it. Here is the post for proof as well as other conversation.

Every bit of technology is based off of what we can perceive. We experience things in four dimensions. Width, length, height, and time. Width length and height we have near full control over, yet time we only perceive. According to String Theory, there are eleven dimensions. That is seven dimensions that exist around us that we can't perceive. In just our four dimensions we have the Laws of Physics, everything we understand about science, and more.

I think that 0-Dimension, is. What do I mean by that? Well each dimension exists because of the previous dimension. A 2-D triangle is both Width and Length. You can't have a 2-D figure without width or length, then it would 1-D. You can't have something exist in time without it being an object, or 3-D. So, what is the Zero-Dimension? It is the energy of everything. You can't have something without that energy existing. That is the 0-Dimension, energy.

So what is the fifth through eleventh dimensions? Why can't we perceive them? They exist outside of time. They incorporate time just like a pyramid incorporates length and width. If you lived in a 2-D world, time and height would be unperceivable. What happens when you go faster than the speed of light? Well, according to many theories developed over history, time does weird stuff.

But nothing can go faster than the speed of light, right? As far as we can perceive, yes. But remember, we experience a 4-Dimensional world. Everything past that we can't perceive. Maybe because, if it incorporates time, and time does weird things past the speed of light, then everything past the fourth dimension is travelling faster than the speed of light. Well wouldn't we be able to measure this speed? No. Every bit of technology is created by us, beings which look at the world in four dimensions. Our technology only exists in four dimensions, so it can't measure anything past that.

Let's recap. There are 11 dimensions according to string theory. We can only perceive four, thus everything we know is based on those four dimensions. Since time would have to be incorporated past the fifth dimension in a similar fashion to how length is incorporated to a 3-D object. This would mean that, in order to manipulate time like this, then anything in the fifth dimension on would have to be travelling at speeds faster than the speed of light.

Honestly though from what I have learnt about physics it becomes obvious that humans don't know everything, and at the moment a theory used to explain one thing won't necessarily seem to be correct if used to explain something else.

All of the other dimensions are purely theoretical and thus asking for proof of them is abit difficult. Time itself is a weird dimension as it isn't constant (relative to speed and to your position). The reason that the extra dimensions were thought of as a concept was to try to explain the stuff that doesn't go with normal physics (string theory, electron superposition, ect,ect,ect)


EDIT: Thought of a better way to re word what I want to say. Traditional physics doesn't seem to explain everything or sometimes contradicts other theories when they talk about strange occurences (string theory, electron superposition, ect,ect). The whole idea of extra dimensions seems to me like abit of a cop out to try and explain these strange occurences and why they don't conform to normal physics. As you said we can't percieve these dimensions thus it is very difficult to prove they exist, and thus incredibly difficult to prove they don't exist, thus you can't disprove the extra dimensions theory.
