Karting in GT6

I mentioned a long time ago that the karting should be enhanced to feature more varieties of karting. Shifter karts are very much great in the diversity department. This should be fun. The long shot as far as karting in Gran Turismo is concerned would be something like superkart racing. Those superkarts can be crazy fast. Imagine triple-digit MPH speeds with no suspensions! And when I mean superkarts, I especially mean those powerful karts with the aerodynamic bodywork and such. It may never happen for GT, but it would sure be cool to see these extreme karts in GT.

It would be an amazing experience to turn these new shifter karts loose in GT6. If there was a legacy collection of GT tracks for GT6, I'd proudly take these karts around Motor Sports Land (GT2).

It's kind of a kart thing. Kart steering wheels in real life require some muscle to get around the track. Try turning down the FFB when driving a kart and see if that helps.
It doesn't feel like a real cart though, not even close.

And yeah, I have driven karts many times. Not as if it were something extremely uncommon.

That's really nice.

You mean these bad boys?: Note he does 100km/h in first gear!!!

Quite right, the balance just wasn't there with karts, with any luck they tweaked the physics for GT6. I did find it helped when hybriding to adjust the brake balance. Hopefully the new shifters are modeled with front and rear brakes as per real life and they are adjustable. It makes a big difference to get a smoother, more predictable corner entry.

Those superkarts look mad! I feel like at those speeds a longer wheelbase would be beneficial... though not really a gokart at that point.

Yep... EXACTLY those karts, Johnnypenso (Post #93). Those are the superkarts I made mention of.

I'm embarrassed to say I only did the karting challenge in GT5 for the credits. After some deep inner reflection I may have to give it another go in GT6 and not for the credits only.

Ohhhh yeahhhh :D

Ohhhh yeahhhh indeed! 💡 Recreating ROC anyone? 💡 or SSS Rally stages with the Rally cars that are still present in the game? 💡 or even a D1 Tansou or Tsuiso run? Well that's my thoughts anyways on this anyway. Love this concept of track.

Are you some kind of genius or something, sayba2th? Reason why I ask is because... that would be an awesome idea! You have to have some kind of off-road sections. I would even be inclined to have some specially-made buggy vehicles (like the ROC buggies) to take on the course. This new Gran Turismo Arena still is a very novel idea and a great sort of racing track.

Yessir - valedictorian @ the school of Hard Knocks bahahahaha, but it's begging for something like that JohnBM01, I think what you have added would enhance and follows the line of vision I can see for this. It maybe PD's original diamond in the rough with potential applications for this.

I did not care for karting nor Nascar in GT5. I would trade them in for more of a GT1-GT4 experience anyday . Karting as a seasonal event or online only is cool by me. I only karted to complete that area of the game. Otherwise I would never jump in one. I understand introducing new aspects of the game but Gt1-GT4 is what kept me coming back to the franchise. If GT5 was GT4 I would have stopped there and never experienced GT4. It would have been horrible to not experience 4, lol.
