In Kaz We Trust !

Gran Turismo was his Creation, and it's always been his Baby.
It must be very upsetting for him & his Team to see so many GT fans slating him, PD & GT7.
He's listened to those fans & is trying to rectify things, to make it a more pleasurable long-term experience.
Roll on April, when we'll (hopefully) see a few improvements & additional content.

It's "bona fide", only it isn't because that's a Latin phrase that means "in good faith". You can't lie in good faith!
Right on, Famine. I don't use spell check, usually. However, we didn't speak fluent Latin where I come from. Your input is thoroughly appreciated though 😷

With hope, someone in PD read this.

As a simple guy that have bought all PlayStation consoles since the very first, only to play the GT series.
Indeed, A not so cheap investment for only one game.

- Please, allow the players to report other players on the grid/final positions screen, as in GT Sport.
Some players are driving deliberated to ram and ruin other players races, maybe because they found
that there is no report feature after races.
And no, the report options inside player's profile page is very cool, but it doesn't have the option to report
a player for the matter.

- Please, make a penalty for the overtaking dive bombers.
I mean pushing lateral contact in corners to overtake.
Just happened a few mints ago at Dingle Dell Corner, with me, again.
The D****** carried on his race, while I have lost 5 places, while trying to leave the grass before Stirlings.

It is ridiculous, some 'good and fast' players, are only able to overtake in corners pushing the other cars outside
and getting no penalty for that. Why? The driver in front, lose the place unfairly and the wise guy get away with
no penalty and one position gain.

- Please allow the possibility to be able to search for more content on the GT Official site on PC.
As we can do in GT Sport.

In GT7 we can see only the first page. And if what I search is on another page I can't get access?
Where can I select to go to the next page?

- Please set races with production/street cars. There are plenty. In fact, there are more than racing cars.
I would like to race them with other players, not AI.

- Please insert the rear braking balance option in races.

Now. Thank you, PD.
I like to manage my cars and money and the way I spend it.
Thank you for introducing the penalties for crossing the pit exit lines.
In GT Sport, many idiots crossed it, causing some accidents and ruining some races. Yes I repeat, idiots.
It is a continuous white line, dividing a race path with an exit path. Jeeezzz. Strong Kudos to PD.

I maybe lost my time, but life is full of surprises sometimes. We never know. Maybe PD will add some of my asks.

Now to GTP community.

This post is not meant to open any discussion. Please, face this as a telephone talk with someone at PD.
It is only a simple couple of words regarding what I feel about GT7 needs, right now.
And in the meantime hoping that some of the words get to PD. :)

Thank you.

MTX system can only work if there are people actually playing the game. So they caught themselves in a catch-22 lmaoo
There ought to be someone who can routinely slap some sense into Kaz, maybe even his translator just for the convenience. Doesn't he know he's "fixing" a primary revenue stream?

Maybe he thinks the lower MC score the better. That's the reason he nerfed the payouts and won "better" numbers after it. He must be really happy now.

All of this was lacking in the old games and that's why I like GT7 soo much. It may not have as many events but I don't care.
Yes I can agree with this to an extent. The car sounds in GT7 greatly impress me for a GT title, and the car customization, the overall immersion oof the sound, so just driving your car, with the correct tuning, is higher quality feeling than it's been in most GT games where they sounded a bit like vacuums and ruined your fun. It helps the game looks stunning and the tracks do their part with the much improved lighting

Maybe time for Kaz to step down for the next GT.Whilst i absolutely love the game, despite the issues, things like chase the rabbit type races i dont think have a place in a racing game. The poor economy will hopefully be addressed,as will some of the other things in the update.
Unfortunately for me hegarty lcd will remain but it is what it is.Like i said i love the game but at the same time i,m also critical of design choicesJust my thoughts.👍

some say it is a way to compensate poor AI (but on some races or in arcade mode AI seems very decent, so ???)
The poor economy will hopefully be addressed
partially addressed, and only because of the outrage, clearly tailored to frustrate players into MTX, I hope it will be a bad memory in a few monthes

I don't mind Hagerty and the idea to have price linked to real world, only if it works both ways, i.e we are able to sell back the cars either at the UCD or LCD if it comes from the LCD, and even making some profit if the value of the car went up in real world

It's all BS, they just wanted money from them. They don't care about us.

Yeah thats a good point you made regarding reselling cars, also i hope the payout increases are worth it and not just updated from current payouts. That would put them at less or near previous payouts.
Circuit exp payouts should be good but they are only one time rewards.Hopeing for update tomorrow.whhoop whoop.!!

Other games charge MTXs for cosmetics, well it's hard to see how they could implement that in a game that allows players to create custom liveries and race suits.
Not really. Have alternate versions of cars that are identical in performance but have different body kits or other visual flair. Why have an R32 GTR when you can have an R32 GTR Polyphony Extreme Edition?

I can't imagine it would be super hard to make a version of a car with alternate headlights/spoiler/canards/bonnet/interior/whatever, and if they're getting paid for it through MTX then so much the better. I'm sure there's plenty of "cosmetic" things that a creative developer could do to justify the price of a microtransaction if they wanted, even in a game with a robust livery editor. There's more to a car visually than just whatever you paint on the outside.
It just strikes me as odd that there isn't a counter movement of positive reviewers when ever review bombing takes place.
There is. There just isn't that many people who want to go out and put a 10/10 on a game like GT7. Review bombing takes place for a reason, and it's usually because a large proportion of the community is vocally upset about something.

Yeah, that's how motor racing works. 1st is better than 5th, so a 1.0 Metacritic rating would be the winner. 10.0 is just the ninth loser.

that is what I understood from their statements...

wow you are a very optimistic person :D

At the moment, nothing is fixed, we wait for them to act. I already amended my review and I'll do it again, but for now, I am waiting.

Yeah that's true, although I get the impression that a large portion of the GT community would absolutely hate seeing NFS style cars in Gran Turismo haha.

I'm sure Rocketbunny, Liberty Walk, etc. packs would sell pretty well as MTXs, plus maybe it would attract some new players who are big on modding the look of their cars?

See that makes sense to me, I like balance in all things in life. If we each took action to balance the score it wouldn't be as low as it is.

Less than 10,000 Metacritic reviews is a pretty insignificant amount when you think about how large a player base GT7 is likely to have over its initial release and life span. Add to that I doubt many of the negative reviews even own the game, let alone are from unique posters (pretty sure a lot of them are from people making alt accounts).

It just strikes me as odd that there isn't a counter movement of positive reviewers when ever review bombing takes place.
The bubble has finally burst. It should have finally burst at the beginning of GT Sport but the apologists shouted the loudest. Why it didn't burst when PD dropped the penalty system all together and gave up is crazy. Dropping it was them admitting they couldn't get it right so gave up. That's the company we are dealing with here.

Completely agree with a couple of the posters above. "Bling Credits" (🤮) or something where players can buy mirror dice, air fresheners, dashboard bobbleheads, seat covers, custom licence plates, bonnet pins, neon lighting, and general aftermarket Fast & Furious style shenanigans would have been very easy to implament without spiting the core GT audience.

Well, the 2000s are back in vogue lately, so this doesn't seem like such a bad idea 🤣

I think PD have not realised that gaming has moved on, they've made a game with modern graphics but 20yr old content
No, they made a game with 1/4th the content of their 20yr old game.

Most on here want GT4 with better graphics and a few small updates.

Yes lets trust the fool responsible for every dumb game decision every let down every failure going on two decades.

If it continues to drop like this, it will eventually reach 1.3, which will put GT7 alongside some FIFAs and other EA games. Top 25 worst game of all time. I hope it makes Sony/PD to make some positive changes.
So it will put it alongside some of the best selling games with most players and that makes the developers and publishers lots of money.

I will gladly repeat my dead horse, the micro transactions in GT7 is nothing compared to other games.

It doesn't block any content it doesn't give the players an advantage an the price isn't even that extreme unless you cherry pick the most expensive cars.

GT7 continues the GTS trend of a very bad balance between time spend/effort and credit payback. And the roulette is pure evil. Micro transactions is the least of its problems.

It doesn't block any content
It motivates a so crappy economy that some content is either years away or just never obtainable. I am happy that I don't intend to collect all the cars, and I regret that I won't have many of those I would have like to get.

In GTS you get a car per day, you do not have to pay credits for tuning, so not getting a lot of credits are not an issue. GT7 does not continue a trend, it makes it hugely worst.

Micro transaction is not the least of the problems but the reason the big ones are present.

How's this for a hot take: I think GT Sport has a broken economy and GT7 has a more well designed economy that will prove to be a better gaming experience once all the events are in.

When did you ever have to think about spending money on cars in GTS except if you wanted one of the 20 million credit unicorns? You didn't. That's poor game design.

In GT7 on the other hand you can afford to buy regular street cars with little thought, you can buy regular race cars selectively (gr4/3), you can buy pricier race cars (gr1/2, those race winner cars that are more expensive like the DBR9 or the Ford GTs) if you save up some money. And you have to buckle down and grind for unicorns.

That's how things should be. Sport mode pays too little (this is getting fixed) and the max payouts for events is a bit low right now but this is also getting fixed. More importantly we will get events for cars that currently have none, like Gr2s and Gr1s, or formats like endurance races.

GT7s economy is better than GT Sport's.

This is how I also feel mostly. Every day I earn between 500 K (weekdays) and a million (weekends) credits. That will buy me 1 or 2 cars per day, which is nice. Just two thoughts:
  • after a hundred or so hours of play, you start to repeat the same races to earn some credits. That's a bit boring. We need some extra content such as championships
  • the economy could be a bit more generous so you can get the high value cars a bit easier

Funny thing is how garishly the MTX is implemented. Like at least put in the effort to give me the proper illusion of free will or choice. With the Crew 2 I have the illusion of choice intact, it's cleverly designed with the way you earn motorstars. It's most interesting that GT7 can't follow the right line, can't tread the tightrope, that would've made me and a lot of others happy. But the way it's implemented shows how little thought it was given. Just shows more on how rushed the launch of GT7 is.

... and every good-and-innovative game decision, every surprise feature and all the fun he brought to us...
LMAO innovative. What innovation, he just copied reality when tech allowed it and has been surpassed at it for over 2 decades by his competitor.

A hell of a take, actually enjoying playing the game and not griding is poor game design. Grinding for 31 hours to buy 1 single car, yahh totally great design thats awesome. 🤪

A 500 hours of boring grinding for those with no life is how it should be, actually fun and enjoyable hell no. Anyone wonder why Forza is kicking GTs ass sales wise on less then HALF a user base lol.

Maybe casue its actually Fun driving a F1 a Merc One or Jesko with out a 100 hour boring grinding ehh.
