No, it would be boring if you could buy eveything what you want when you want.

I love the hunting & trading aspect of the game. 👍

But yea, for some sitting in an igloo without internet & seasonals it's a pain in the 🤬.

Yeah. It does get a little boring sitting up here in Alaska. The seasonals are fine, but they are a little tedious and too random. I'd rather not resort to duplicating my items so all of my drivers can have matching outfits, but it looks like I have to do that. Gah.

Oh well. I do like the seasonals because they've given me a couple of the DLC helmets and suits already and I haven't even been able to buy the DLC.

That's what I thought at first, but if he wasn't synchronized to the video while driving, he would have had to be incredibly accurate to get the rest of the lap to sync up so perfectly.

I would say its true as after all, the news comes from a Sony rep.

I do remember seeing a post from someone, who was well connected (can't remember if it was on these boards) as to a DLC programme regarding GT5.

It was a 4 month programme thatI think was due to start in June. Though the date etc was wrong, the programme itself might have just been delayed because of the terrible events in Japan, as I think the post was made pre-March.

Problem with new F1 cars is licensing and the fact Codemasters has license for F1s in game (other than Ferrari loophole used by PD).

Kaz said in an interview, there's an issue with Bernie Ecclestone.

I re-checked to make sure. It's from an interview in 2007, Kaz even says Lamborghini is a possibility. I wouldn't take the Bernie issue as a fact.

Simple: Bernie Ecclestone and Codemasters. In other words, Everyone else is bound to the Licensing including Red Bull. Only Ferrari is allowed to do as they please.

Why does Ferrari have the only F1 car in the game? While talking to a marketing representative for one of the manufacturers in GT5, I finally received an answer to this perplexing question. It all comes down to licensing and Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone. He commands control of the licensing for all of the cars in the series, with the exception of Ferrari. For reasons known only to Bernie and Ferrari, they have a special provision in their F1 contract which allows them to license their cars to whomever they please.

Some of us have been browsing gtplanet for so long that we remember reading articles that were years ago. Articles that answer questions that are still asked today. So please have some faith when we say why but don't give concrete evidence, as pulling up that evidence (I found this out just today, dealing with a different situation in which I was accused of being a troll) can be excruciatingly difficult just to solve an internet argument/discussion.

I assume that F1 may never be a part of the GT franchise (outside of Ferrari) due to the simple fact that they wouldn't want to share the spotlight with other forms of racing. I assume it's this same logic that explains why the Ferrari's are not allowed to race against anything else in the game.

Also, everything about and everything around F1 is layered in melodrama, so it just makes sense to dilly dally with licenses.
