Awaiting Shirakawa.
Well, that's putting pressure.

Kaz_Yamauchi: We're preparing a relatively full-blown "GT Academy 2012" version. A schedule will be probably announced soon. RT @takyob72: @Kaz_Yamauchi last month, there haven't been any DLC or update. I'm concerned about future plans. Thanks in advance...!

Before somebody asks, he means a version of DLC/Update or whatever will be downloadable next.
In other words, next update will be GT-Academy centered.

So is he saying GT Academy themed DLC? Possibly a free new track(Silverstone?) and/or cars unless they expect people to pay to enter GT Academy? This could be interesting or am I reading that completely wrong?

Edit: I missed that the user mentioned both DLC and update, so KY could have been referring to an update centered around GT Academy, not necessarily adding cars or tracks.

Can't wait to see what this full-blown "GT Academy 2012" entails. I wonder if they will give GT5 a spec update to change the physics and give us drivers more things to learn and think about.

The user was wondering about what Yamauchi's plans about next update were. Have I used weird English?

Well, "relatively full-blown" could possibly be viewed as a contradiction of terms, but I like it. :D
People might want to brush up on the meaning of "relatively" and "probably" before commenting, though, as they tend to be interpreted negatively. (i.e. as "a little bit" and "maybe", instead of "by comparison" and "in all likelihood", respectively.)

Your own explanation, outside the quotation, is fine, though. Thanks, as always! 👍

Once again thanks for the translations SHIRAKAWA Akira, it clears up a lot of google translate mess 👍

I'm pretty sure GT Academy means GT Academy, not new cars and Silverstone.

Don't even start with the speculation.

I don't get twitter at the best of times but I believe it simply went:

User tweeted to Kaz this message:

last month, there haven't been any DLC or update. I'm concerned about future plans. Thanks in advance...!

And Kaz "replied" with:

We're preparing a relatively full-blown "GT Academy 2012" version. A schedule will be probably announced soon.

So that was his answer to the concerns.

Pretty much, yes:

Sort of. The latter part is a retweet. The first bit is "We will start a full GT Academy 2012 programme soon - the schedule will be announced shortly.".

Which we announced 13 hours ago :D

"RT" means "Retweet" - which is when you repeat someone else's message on your feed so that your followers can see it. "@" is when you direct a message at that user - so the original message was tweeted to Kazunori. Kazunori's message was tweeted to "takyob72", but he also included the original message as a Retweet.

It is its own language

My translation wasn't word perfect, but it conveyed the idea correctly. I ignored the original Twit because it seemed to be complaining about not getting any DLC.

I wonder how close Google Translate is:

We produce a full-fledged version "GT Academy 2012" comparatively. Schedule will be announced shortly. RT @ takyob72: last Mon @ Kaz_Yamauchi, I could not be delivered, such as updates and DLC. I will look for further. ~ I'm looking forward to it.

'I could not be delivered'? Well Google Translate clearly has some bugs, but I think the general gist is he couldn't access the prototype DLC recently yet?

Wait. has he become a...Mail Order Groom??? :odd:

Seriously though, I'm wondering exactly is being said.

Edit: Hmmm, "Relatively Full Blown GT Academy 2012 Version". Thats interesting.

Would be a good move as they would wanna advertise GT academy 2012, so probably expect all sorts of cars that were involved in the academy, and the races run afterwards by the graduates to be made available for us punters by DLC.

Ps. Hope they did not use much GT-R's tough.

By 2030, half of the racing world will be populated by GT Academy winners. Nothing wrong with that but I think Sony is becoming too aggressive with this campaign. They claim to give players a chance to become real racing drivers. While that can't be denied, it starts to look like Sony/PD mostly are in it for ongoing publicity and recognition. That is undoubtedly good for Gran Turismo's position in the gaming world but for me personally, as an average gamer, I somehow feel that it's about time that the game starts to offer a consistent flow of DLC instead of all that marketing stuff. I'll probably regret having written this if I win GT Academy, but recent history indicates that my country won't even be part of the competition. My point is, by the end of the day, only the winner of GT Academy truly needs this competion. All the losers of GT Academy just need some support for their game. It may sound cynical but I think GT5 has created enough real race drivers. In my opinion, they should save the next round for GT6 and instead focus GT5 efforts on patching and DLC.

"Racing improves the breed"

Sooner or later in the series, they'll be forced to improve GT physics/track selection to match the whole marketing campaign, (having GT Academy on Silverstone and NOT having the track ingame is a big FAIL imo) and that's good for us. I think other DLC will keep coming. But GT Academy it's pretty important to support GT as a franchise IMHO.

Did you even read the tweet at all?

"Relatively full blown GT Academy 2012 version" replying to a tweet about someone asking about DLC/update. There were rumors a year ago about Silverstone being one of the tracks used online for GT Academy. By the sounds of it they are doing some extensive prep work for this years academy and it wouldn't surprise me if they wanted a real life track that nobody has driven in GT before as one of the stages so no one has a distinct advantage. IMO every track used for GT Academy should be a real life race track, not course maker tracks or GT originals.

This would be nice, but imaging all the whiners when they find out that they have to purchase DLC just to compete in the contest. Wah.

Hence, "rumors".

I was thinking the same thing. But we will probably get driving suits.

Maybe they'd easily make available to only people that are participating for a limited time and when the contest is complete, thoses that competed get it free.

I'm thinking that most of what's going to be available for the next DLC is largely GT Academy related. My guess is that there will be a couple of things that have nothing to do with GT Academy. This could mean that it's all coming in one pack.

The guy asked what they were doing, Kaz just told them what they were working on.

Dissapointed if he's delayed DLC, then delayed it again in lieu of GT Academy, quite poor form imo.

If they had got the DLC out of the way in March when they were due, we'd be looking to May/June for the next batch, which would be plenty of time to do all of this GT Academy stuff in between. Ah well, maybe the DLC will be worth it, its hit and miss I find.

EDIT: Of course, if I get my Fiat 500 Abarth/SS, or F10 M5, or Ferrari F12, I'll sthu so fast :D

There was no release date for the DLC. Therefore, it can't be delayed.
