To me it`ll go gold by the end of september
In regards to the FT-86, I hope they aren't delaying it to make it a hybrid. I wouldn't mind if they had a hybrid version and a petrol version, but if it was only a hybrid that would be awful. If the FT-86 goes into production it would be the first great looking Toyota since the Supra in my opinion.
I heard they were putting a flat-4 for the engine, and there was something about Subaru co-developing it and they too shall create an FT-86 of their own

And yes I quite agree with you, it will be the first great looking Toyota since the Supra (unless you count the Lexus LFA), and one of the first that I will consider/will drive on GT5
I suspect GOLD pressing in the last week in September the 27th so the final build will be shown at the TGS. The manufacturing process must have more than a month to manufacture to keep up demand, if they don't they will likely fall behind on copies by shipping the the Master disc late.
The whole reason why KY tweeted in that mood was because these are the last 6 weeks that they have to debug and tweak, he is on the last stretch to victory and for us this finally the arrival from our long 5 year forum journey to the drive of our lives.
Doubt it. GT games don't usually sell out. I never had a problem getting any GT game on launch day. The games sell millions of copies but it's over a long stretch and not in one go like other games do.
I know Lexus is part of Toyota, but I'm just talking Toyota. The LFA though is my favorite car right now and can't wait to use it in GT5.
Also here's a rendering of Subaru's version of the FT86:
It's very soon. That is the direct translation of "もうすぐ".
Yeah it'll probably go gold by the end of August
And the translation of "very soon" into proper English is "about 1 year."
Why would they go gold two months before the release?
Simple really because if any bugs/glitches are found they then have chance to resolve these before the mass production. Also im not sure how it works on the PS3 but on the 360 all games have to put through the MS certification process.
Why would they go gold two months before the release? Games usually take until 2-4 weeks from release to go gold. No way they will finish it a full month before TGS. IMO it will be very close to being finished when TGS comes and that will be the final real test. Then they'll take the following week or two to really make sure they're completely satisfied with everything based on feedback and the reception from TGS.

PS3 games need to pass Sony certification as well. I wonder if Sony will be harder or easier on PD considering the relationship?
The way I understand it is that when a game goes gold it has passed certification and the company publishing the game is going to start pressing the discs.
No that's not needed on ps3.. 👍
He tweeted a few weeks ago that he was having his first vacation in 27 years. Is kaz on some journey or some? (his latest tweets..)
A pity I can't read japanese.
Kaz is in North America! So.. I bet he's later on proceeding to Pebble Beach on Sunday.
But would he fly to Germany after that?
He is very busy and globetrotting a lot.
