"It returned. Tokyo of the winter sunlight is clean."
Google:
"Returned. The winter sun is beautiful, Tokyo."

So, I'm betting he was having a break after the trip, and the events will be up soon. Just a guess...

Edit:
And the above question:
"A little break. RT @ anthonyputson: @ Kaz_Yamauchi Kaz, will the new seasonal events be up soon?"
...was made by one of our members (anthonynputson). And got a reply.

He has employees to release the events. You're not thinking, that he plans them to his own and released it?

I do not think he personally pushes a button. But that he has to approve them, and with him being out-of-office, this got delayed.

But, I was/am just guessing/hoping.

I don´t think, that he is the one to push the button. He is the leader of this company and has much better thinks to do than pushing a button for seasonal events.

My guess is that they can't keep up with their own game and that is a bad sign of things to come.

Justnotherhuman is also a GTP member, he got the answer that physics are the same, but the front wheels are able to turn further, allowing for more precise cOntrol

In the GT5 UPDATE NEWS... they said that updates are made Thursdays + 1 day less or more... that means Wednesday, Thursday or FRIDAY.

That's the hoping part.

Yes, delayed show have been quoted: "delayed", as we are still inside the release window. But again, straying off topic.

And I think you're wrong. They've been working on this game for over 5 years, including the release. Obviously they have the right to take a small vacation, right?

5years - yes - and for the result we got they should get a very long vacation.
(They should be fired)

Feel free to discuss the topic at hand :)

The people who are making wild assumptions about what Kaz (and the rest of PD) may or may not be doing while we wait for updates, or lashing out with name-calling at any members they don't agree with, are the problem users in this thread, though, and it's a valid reason to report the thread. We've grown increasingly tired of the way "troll" and "fanboy" are tossed around as basically the go-to insults for anybody that happens to have a different opinion.

If this is going to degenerate into another whinging thread, users are more than welcome to head to the "Are You Disappointed with GT5?" thread.

Quoted for sanity.

If you all hate the game so much, then stop playing and go throw it away or burn it ! Stop whining. Leave the man alone.
**Back to the topic**

Oh awesome...two or three tweets and back to pages of complaining. I'm so done with this thread...everywhere you go just complaining. I thought there was a forum for this now. Meh!

Yeah, if I were a PD employee, I'd be pretty disgusted with these threads. I know I wouldn't be motivated to improve things for all the impatient ingrates out there. To hear them talk, you'd think Kaz and PD killed their grandmothers.

I would be really interested to see the tweets, but after scouring over 4 pages back, I haven't found anything, and don't have time to search further.

What is this thread other than general discussion/bickering?

instead of fighting you should have been readin this tweet...

google translation:
A little break. RT @ anthonyputson: @ Kaz_Yamauchi Kaz, will the new seasonal events be up soon?

OG tweet:
ちょっと一休み。RT @anthonyputson: @Kaz_Yamauchi Kaz, will the new seasonal events be up soon?

All of this whining and bickering will get this thread closed, just so you know. Look at all the other threads that became all whining and bickering. They got closed, so please stay on topic guys, please.

Mad, I saw that earlier. Hopefully Kaz means it.

Which some of us did, and commented on.

New tweet:
GTアカデミー更新しました。RT @robgroove: @Kaz_Yamauchi Please fix corner cutting. with penalties ON you can still cut lots of corners in #GT5

Google:
GT Academy has been updated. RT @ robgroove: @ Kaz_Yamauchi Please fix corner cutting. With penalties ON you can still cut lots of corners in #GT5

Babel:

i seen that the online UCD was updated so i figured, and this is probably preety dumb logic, that they updated to OUCD and they forgot to do the same for the seasonal events. they are all prepared and worked out, cars picked, tracks selected, cars placed and spaced out apart. just never actually uploaded so we could do them. like the person responsible forgot to do it.

Ok, that's enough bickering for now. Please stay on topic or we will indeed lock this thread.

Watching other peoples tweets to him and his selected replies, he seems to be ignoring further queries about the seasonal events. Which, along with bug fixing and the new patch, seam to be the only points of interest for "tweet people" at the moment.

My guess, as others have said, is that they're waiting for a patch before resuming the seasonal races. The labor involved in creating those updates and "pushing" them out to users would be pretty minor, perhaps even less than getting the intros translated to English.

His connection to his fans is slowly becoming a nightmare.

I'm sure he cries himself to sleep at night on pillows of money.

I'm in between on this. In a way, I think Kazunori using a Twitter account to stay in touch with his fans has been a real boon. We've learned many interesting things about the game from his tweets. And some people have been able to express some concerns which he seems to be addressing. And to that I say Kudos. Naturally, he can't answer every single request or he's spend every minute of every day doing nothing but that. And different people have different concerns. It's impossible to please everybody.

At the same time, if PD was more forthcoming with an actual point by point bug fix list posted with their patches, and would have their own 'official' forum with which people could interact, it would solve a lot of these issues. Should we have to guess at what the latest update is bringing or learn to write or translate questions into Japanese and hope he responds in order to determine what's changed with 1.05 or will be with 1.06? I mean, people argued in the online forum like cats and dogs for weeks about the differences in physics between online and offline. And one off-hand tweet revealed that it was just a difference in tire wear, tire temperature and (possibly) fuel load. But again, it wasn't 100% clear. So yes, I'm happy that he's tweeting. And call me greedy. But I'd like a bit more.

Even a small developer like Eutechnyx had an official forum and the developers often responded to requests and implemented them in patches. As a small developer with a limited budget, Eutechnyx was often limited in what they could do and people sometimes had pie in the sky expectations. But they were usually clear in saying what they could or couldn't do and what would or wouldn't be possible. And they weren't cryptic about it.

EDIT: In fairness, I don't think Kaz ever intended his twitter account to be used as a porthole to request features or post bugs. But as there is really no direct way to reach PD otherwise, this is naturally what many people use it for. And as such, it's a bit inadequate.

The last bit. It sums it up nicely. He said the GT academy was renewed and no one got it, I think. Now we know what he realy meant, they changed it again, this time to Madrid so there could be no more grass cutting.

Lack of official engagement on social networks (forums included here) leaves us with only this.

(which makes this thread and the need to keep on topic the more important)
