Endurance race saves would be a nice feature to implement. If the hard-core endurance racers are concerned that no one will believe them when they boast they do the entire 24 hours at once, trust me, no one believed you did it without pausing either. Race the way you want as long as it doesn't interfere with others' choices.

Thanks for the Tweet updates.

Agreed. If I weren't to touch my B-Spec grinding for 2 weeks I may just reach 20 million credits:crazy:.

It's a great way to "bank" money as I currently am at the $20mm mark. I usually run the dream car championship and buy a few items out of the ucd and repeat. Once the gifting situation is sorted out I'll use it to make some big purchases and then cash in on my bobs to refill the coffers. In theory you could have 6 bobs at the $20mm mark in rewards ( I don't think anyone knows the upper limit yet ) if you remote raced long enough and pretty much buy whatever you wanted

When asked by Denis Jenkinson what the toilet arrangements were if he never left the cockpit for 24 hours, Hall replied "Green overalls, old boy!"[4]

Nice to see the endurance saves might make an appearence next patch, and to the enduro save haters your not forced to save you can race for 24 hours solid so no need to moan just remember not to pause the game as that "isn't endurance anymore if you can save pause"

Only those who did 24hr races without ever pausing the game even once during the entire race have the right to tell us there shouldn't be save. Otherwise, no.

As disappointed as I am with certain aspects of the game I've got to give it to them, they sure know how to listen to their fanbase which is not very common these days.

Its the best way to move forward!

Really? Not even Edward Hall?

Hall finished 8th overall in a field of 60 that year after driving 24 hours straight at LeMans

Shall we correct that to no SANE person drives for 24 hours straight? I definitely think that the amount of people that would find that enjoyable is pretty small.

What?

Are you talking about the last 5 years where pretty much everything the fans hoped and dreamed for was completely left out of GT5 and not even things the fans obvioulsy loved in GT4 made it?

Or are you talking about the last few weeks where they tried to fix those problems and have becomea revolving door of "solutions" and mistaking PD figuring out things that are obviously broken with listenting to fans telling them they are broken?

Where was the listening to fans about restrictions on seasonals? What about seasonals at all? What about the need to be able to invite people to rooms online or revamping the online all together?

I can only think you are cherry picking or don't realize that a guy putting out fire in his kitchen while everyone around him yells "FIRE" isn't really "listening" to other people... he's just not a COMPLETE moron.

If you look at the past few updates, does it not look like they have been considering the "majority" of people's feedbacks? Keyword is majority. If there are not enough people requesting for a certain feature, we should understand on why it wouldn't be implemented or delayed till later on.

You talk about things like restrictions on seasonals, inviting people to online rooms, and whatever it is you're talking about things in GT4 not making it to GT5. The last time I checked, there are a few (minority) of people that have requested the things you mentioned above. If you look at the GT5 feedback, those things are not even close to what's on the top priority for the "majority" of the fans. Things like weather, visual/mechanical damage, and other things that were high on people's priority list (like in-race game saves) made it. You'd also see people tweeting on his twitter page, and a lot of times, Kaz himself would respond back, even through an update patch.

The last time they had restictions on seasonals, people complained. When there aren't people still complained. Do you really think everything it's that simple to satisfy everyone?

No they don't respond to every feedback, but I can say for sure they have for a lot of things. The problem with a lot of people is that just because something they want doesn't happen, they assume they're not listening or even considering it. I'll tell you that that's now how life works... at least for me.

Yes. PD refuses to try to satisfy everyone. Option restrictions for seasonals, and everyone is good. How could they not think of it?

Let's see, the AI still sucks, there is still no qualifying and no more A-spec events. Not sure about you but I can't think of 3 things that the "majority" of people would like more.

Who gives a stuff about trading and remote racing, just fix the game PD so we can at least enjoy playing it!

Come on Devedander, you're making yourself look bad with that extreme black and whiteness, which people can read in that post.

Yeah, but look at the situation. Can the A.I really be any more intelligent to what the PS3 can calculate in terms of GT's scale? How would adding more A-spec events work? Would it decrease the game completion percentage, or would it just be there just for bonus.

I'm just saying that they're not completely ignoring it like many people think they are. It's most likely they have put it into consideration. Whether its because it isn't possible with the current layout/system/situation... we'll never know the reason why, but it's really impossible for any human from a business standpoint to go to a fan site, see what people want and ignoring it. At least that's what I think.

Most likely, the most wanted features the fans want, PD are considering it already.

@RC45: The bolded part is not from Yamauchi.
Can't wait for the save option, finally I will be able to do the endurance races.

It is a good move, how about a save function on Championship? Some championship take ****ing long too! Hope that Kaz won't forget about it too!!

GT5 should allow a single race save across A-Spec events.

The race save feature should be automatic and just fire off a race save at every pit stop overwriting any previous save... Also, the race save should be deleted as part of the event payout.

That way, quiting the game (or crashing) mid race only loses effort back to the last pit stop.

To resume, just load up GT5 and select an A-Spec event. The event should check to see if there is an active race save for any event and then notify the player that a race save is in progress for this or another event. offer the player to resume race save, start anew with the selected event (with "are you sure" confirmations for start anew, of course), or cancel.

easy!

You're still picking fights with people around here Dev? I guess it would be outside of your personality to stay quiet, eh? ;)

This same race save feature could be used for championships, just treat each race in the championship as a pit stop where the championship save is fired off.

easy!

On second thought, PD could make the race save/championship save a selectable feature from the options menu so those that don't want to deal with the dialogs won't see them.

I don't see the need to save during a championship series. None of them are that long, really. The FGT, maybe.

Well sometimes I'm in the middle of one and maybe the girlfriend wants to watch something on Netflix. Or maybe I get called into work and don't want to tie up the PS3 the whole time I'm gone because it isn't fair to others who would like to use it. I guess what I'm saying is it would be something nice to have. It doesn't necessarily need it but that doesn't mean there aren't times when it wouldn't be a nice feature.
