Another tweet's up: 期待に添えるように・・・。ちと大変。サーバー完全に動いてないし。まあ、がんばるしかない。RT @flanker0720: @Kaz_Yamauchi みんな待ってます!頑張ってください!

"To meet the expectations. Chito great. Completely or moving to a server. Well, there is only struggle. RT @ flanker0720: @ Everyone I wait Kaz_Yamauchi! Please luck!"

Google Translator gives this jibberish:

I don't have anything ("not much" to tell the truth) against paying reasonably significant amounts of money for large and indivisible GT5 Prologue-sized updates with many different cars, tracks and new features. What I hope is that there won't be single item DLC. For example things like 1 track/5$, 1 car/2$ or similar things. "Convenience" packs (just the thought makes me go rolling on the floor laughing) are a no-no too in my opinon.

If "single item" DLC will be added, then my guess is that the next patch will include them in the game data and DLC will be some sort of unlock codes to be able to use them (otherwise you couldn't join online races with people using them). If "expansion pack"-like DLC will be added, then they will be probably handled like those in famous online MMORPGs.

I fear I will be highly disappointed regarding this, however...

I agree completely.

Kaz_Yamauchi: We'll make sure to live up to the expectations... It's quite an effort. Besides, servers aren't working completely yet. Well, we have to do nothing but our best. RT @flanker0720: @Kaz_Yamauchi Everybody is waiting! Keep at it!

We know of at least a handful of cars that ARE coming in DLC and at least one track (if not several) that are coming:

Cars:
BMW 1 Series M
2010 SEMA GT Award Winner
2010 Pebble Beach GT Award Winner

Tracks:
Pikes Peak
Classic Track Pack (all the tracks from previous GT games not included in GT5.)

Also remember than kaz mentioned they were working in the Honda HSV and the VW Scirocco, and the FT-86 II Trailer using GT5 engine

Sources? Not seen mention of all of those, agree that the 2010 "winners" are likely, they are in the old car list here too, looking forward to that Bertone BAT! Not heard about the BMW though, or the Scirocco etc. mentioned further down. Love the Scirocco so that's music to me!

As for tracks, we've seen a slightly obscure interview where Pikes Peak was mentioned, and flashes of El Capitan in some trailers and movies, but where did this "Classic Track Pack" come from?

I want this as much as anyone but hey we need facts at this point, not wants...please back this up :)

If it is not asking much, I only want you two answers.
1 - How did you do the 24h enduraces?
2 - And only one single reason for not wanting the savegames endurace, if exist such reason.

1) I selected the event and proceeded to do it.

2) It's not a true endurance race if you can save through it.

Oh dear God, yes please.

2) It's not a true endurance race if you can save through it.

It's also not a true endurance when you can press the pause button at any given time, pointless discussion already debated more than enough, we need a save function for endurance races for a lot of different and individual reasons, if you want to sit through it for 24 hours straight a save function won't stop you from doing so.

Why would someone NOT want endurance saves?

Standards with premium definition would be good enough for me. No need for cockpits, just a dramatic clean-up of the finishing quality of them.

OH REALY?

OH REALY????!!

BMW themselves mentioned that the new 1M was supposed to debut in GT5, but as it stands now, it's more likely to debut in FM4. I haven't heard about the Scirocco.

The Classic Track pack comes from a bunch of old track logos being found on the GT5 site.

I can't find the link to the BMW report. And the Pike's Peak article wasn't obscure. It was literally a couple of rally drivers saying outright that Pike's Peak IS in GT5 and giving tips on how to conquer it.

Yeah, but you still end up doing that 24 hours YOURSELF! OMFG what a concept! I'd rather they add tracks than endurance saves too...

Thanks for the BMW info, I saw the thing about the logos but although my heart leapt a little, it's really still not evidence of a forthcoming "classic track pack". I really hope that is the reason for the logos though, don't get me wrong :)

Regarding Pikes Peak, "obscure" was the wrong word but IIRC doesn't it read like "so you will no doubt be driving Pikes Peak in GT5 now, here are some tips from the guys who have driven it for real"? Or did they allude to having actually played it in GT5 on a PS3? I guess I need to re-read the article!

Again, I so wish...maybe we will get an older configuration too with less asphalt, more dirt 👍

I would also love to be able to mix up A and B spec again, especially with the "team" of Bobs, where they can run a few laps, then I take over, then pit and another Bob jumps in etc.

EDIT - Apologies for double posting

-BMW Series 1 M was hinted by BMW
- Honda HSV was mentioned in a kaz interview
- VW Scirocco was mentioned by kaz in his twitter account
- Peeble Beach and SEMA 2010 Winners, well A part of the prize is being inmortalized on GT :P
-Also we have to remember than kaz has hinted: bikes, standard to premium cars convertion and DTM Cars in old interviews.

-Old tracks is rumored because the tracks logos were found in the remote race website
- Pikes Peaks was hinted by Red Bull Site
- Hockenheimrring was mentioned as a possible track in a german site after a PD Staff were there taking pictures and checking the track
-Spa Francorchamps has been rumored for a long time, specifically since 2009's GT Academy time trial

But well, at this point all is just rumours, so let's going to see what happen in short terms events ( Gamescom, TGS)

True. If you pause the game for more than an hour, it really should just cancel your race if you're doing an endurance (if they want an honest endurance race).

I agree that saves during an endurance are seriously unrealistic. Your point that many have said so doesn't mean it's not a good point. He was asked for his reason, but it sounds like everyone already knew what it was.

Yes, there are reasons not to want saves during endurance.

My opinion is that there shouldn't be a 24 hour endurance event at all. You should be able to race 3 runs of 4 hours, saving at the end of each segment to return whenever you like, and the rest of the race is simulated and saved for playback later (if you want to see how the other drivers did).

Zackly! Rumours they are, not things we "know" but no doubt some or all of these things will turn up, I have everything crossed anyway :)

By the way, regarding PD staff on location and researching, don't draw too many conclusions from that, I remember a LONG time ago reading (in a car mag but I honestly don't remember which one) about a track day in the UK where Kaz was recording the engine sound of an old Jensen CV8, but that never made it into GT5 and I doubt it ever will.

I could at this point say is it any wonder the game took so long to develop if time and resources were wasted on that scale? But I won't :)

Anyone also remember that El Capitan got pulled... hope it is free DLC if it is. And thats a big if.
